losing a relationship would never cause me to sell my car.
I'd sell a woman to keep a car
Well young man, you are learning.
The journey thru the years with an automobile will be a tapestry of memories.
You will often find old men who can no longer drive just setting in there garage with there memories.
Remembering.
This is why I love this channel. I dream of restoring a car like that someday. Modern cars are just so... Bland.
True
I just love how the rain pipe, by the window door, automatically opens- and it's 1954, youngsters!
I had a '54 Coupe de Ville. Midnight blue with grey interior. Bought in 1963 when I was 19 years old for $300. It had a vapor lock problem that I solved with an auxiliary electric fuel pump. Kept it until 1965 when I bought myself a '60 Fleetwood for a birthday present for $1600 (but that's another story).
Wow. Beautiful car and storytelling. Moving.
My dad got a 1955 Coupe DeVille, they're real beautiful cars
My dad had a '54 caddy back in '64 a real beauty!
Simply amazing, my childhood dream car ! Congrats to the owner... Not sure what is wrong with me tho, being born in Europe and being obsessed with these cars, the era, the music...
Loved it Thank you so much for sharing something so beautiful with the world!
A stunning car from an era when cars were true art. What an era for American design!!
I enjoyed it and fresh angles on filming too.
What a beautiful car!
Nice very nice. Your Caddilac is one of my favorites of all times definently on the top ten of my want list. Keep her safe love her and cherish her till death do you part! Lol.
Beautiful car
In the end you came out on top, because that car is ageless.
And gorgeous, she will turn more heads than you will ever imagine, because the older she gets the more beauty she keeps.
How true.... I have one too and I love it.................A keeper.................
I am loving this series "wheel love" and it's awesome host. It's making me miss the vehicles that I've had in the past and the memories that come with them. Some day I will have my dream car and cruise in it.
I'm glad you kept the Caddy, she is special.
Cool video, good point though, somethings are just too hard to get rid of because they remind you of somebody that meant the world to ya, it's nice seeing those old cars still on the road, but yeah, to some people this isn't just a car, this is a reminder of somebody that meant something to them
Beautiful Beast.
Really like this style of videos keep it up guys 😎👌🏻
Love that color....... I have a '54 Cadillac Series 62 2 door hardtop in Sage Green, with a white top and Factory AC... You really get married to those cars.....it's a keeper..............Jay
Certainly not my taste in cars but I certainly respect it. Different strokes for different folks but all gear heads are my kind of people.
Wonderful car, back window went so fast it blew me away. My 17 Toyota Camry could not keep up.
Nice
respect!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Every Caddy,'s model year is perfect (except Cimmaron-era )), in my past owner-s expirience - 1993 Fleetwood on tbi engine, 1995 Deville Northstar and 1978 Eldorado 7,0 L.
This in not microwave ovens on wheels - this is RoadKings👑
Hallo from Moscow ✌️
54 is my favorite too.
Sweet!
Great car, loved seeing Austin in the background shots. Would have preferred hearing less about lost love however.
big improvement to electric windows over the previous Power windows that were hydraulics Love these. Did you know that Sammy Davis Jr, lost his eye in a fender bender in his 55 Cadillac outside of San Bernardino Ca, his eye hit that bullet in the center of the steering wheel,. It was removed from Cadillac in 1956
@Tommy Salami no seat belts then and slid down in the seat and into the steering wheel. Seat belts might have prevented it.
I have a '54 too, a Series 62 with factory AC, 2 door hardtop..Sage Green, with a White top.. I'll have to be careful not to lose my eye when taking it out for Sunday afternoon drives....I'm 65, and still love the thumbs up it gets...
@@jayman2261 Sammy was pretty short and hit in the wrong spot in a accident
I just fell in love.
Too bad Cadillac doesn't use the ducks anymore. Cool car
Or the dagmars
epic
Why would some haters disliked the video?
You should have done more filming about the car rather than the owner!
The only interior shot was of the owner.
What's the difference between power and electric windows?
It's the same thing.............
I love the car but not the owner haha... good for him though!
Eu queroo um desse, mas no Brasil você precisa vender um rim para abastecer um carro....kkkkkkk. Muito lindo!
Bring back Fast Lane Daily.
Houston?
What is the truck you are sitting on? 70's Datsun?
😎🤟
Beautiful Coupe!
But ya know... If it's got _its or _ires, it's gonna give ya _rouble.
I know this to a 'T'.
😍😎😘
Where was this at
It's so cool I think 50s and early 60s cars are the best. The 70s cars were horrible
I see dagmars and think of dagmar
Makes me think of Dagwood Bumstead.................from Blondie..
Personally I think you should sell the car…to ME!!!!!
Maybelline
You just so happen to be in a relationship with a horrible person, who decides to break your heart, and you decide to sell your car, when it has been more loyal to you then your ex?
I'll bet even now after being betrayed, his car still starts first time, every time...
That's unconditional love right there my fellow petrolheads.
I have a 1954 Cadillac 2 door Hard top in Sage Green and my girlfriend dumped me after a year......... I KNOW THE FEELING...................................... COMPLETELY. I am holding on to my '54 though.............especially at 65..............
Not bad for a /Drive video....weird
first! but i do have to say i like this new show.
The car is nice but the guy is hopeless, always looking for others/possessions to define him; he will never have his own life.
Hes got a 54 Cadillac hes doing better than me
@@jbncnow I have one of those and '59 Cadillac too, and I still have a hard time keeping a girlfriend.... and I'm 65... I try not to give up..............life goes on....
Pure Americana......but to compare it to a RR your way off the mark!
Paul and Sue Roberts
Having driven Rolls Royce and Bentley products from the 50s and sixties, and a couple of the options available from Cadillac of the time, it's not a fair comparison.
I've driven a '48 Caddy that was more pleasant on the road than stuff from Rolls Royce that was in just as fine condition, but more than a decade newer. That era was the absolute heyday of American luxury cars and, no, the RR options available at the time weren't comparable.
Given the choice between a '61 Fleetwood and a Silver Cloud or even a newer Silver Shadow, I'd have the Caddy and enjoy the extra legroom.
And a transmission that doesn't leak as profusely.
You are right, Rolls Royce of the late '50's and early '60's actually used the GM Hydramatic 4 speed trans in their vehicles......the one where reverse was park......my brother in law, who is a cosmetic surgeon, had a 1961 Rolls Royce silver cloud 1 Left Hand drive, black convertible for over 30 years, and it had the same transmission...
Paul and Sue Roberts
RR was inferior to a cadillac, lincoln even imperial in every way until the early 70s
@@chrisxaf1237 I have both a '54 and '59 Cadillac, and trying to decide which one I like better.....
The last part was unnecessary. Get over her SIMP, we all have pasts. What a waste of a great car
horrible story telling in this.
Would have been nice to see the dash/interior.
