- Currently, city cleaning crews pick up from curb to curb, avoiding tent spaces and personal items. The work is all done by hand with shovels, rakes and pitchforks.
Welcome to 2022 where the criminals are the victims and the victims are the criminals.

Sadly, nowadays street homeless are drugs addicts, and they are addicted to cocktail of nasty chemicals such as fentanyl, horse tranquilizer, elephant tranquilizer, sedative benzo, rat poison, nitazenes chemicals, P2P based meth, wasp dope, and other nasty stuff. That is in the pills they smoke all the time. They are quickly damaged mentally and physically beyond the point of repair. Police was instructed not to enforce any laws on them unless they spill blood. Police can only ask them not to do something but cannot arrest them. Judges will release them in no time. Street addicts gradually destroy everything around themselves. The only thing they really wanna is to be as close as possible to their fentanyl supplier
By the people for the people? Have these words been redefined by lawyers and politicians?
The city officials are really pushing things to the edge. People need to seriously do something before it gets worse.

Interesting, I didn't realize Arizona had a skid row. The problem with a lot of people, homeless or not, is they don't care about keeping things clean. How about you just kick out the homeless people who can't be bothered to clean up after themselves.
Arizona has one of the WORST homeless scenes because people from the East bus their bums HERE. Over 9,000 homeless drug addicts here and counting.
It’s not skid row! It’s Katieville.
How about you stop using water , vacuum cleaner , stove, refrigerator so you understand the hell many go through after illness , divorce, death of spouse , loss of income , addiction..
Phoenix residents voted for that. The mayor is vocal about her liberal stance. So why are they mad now?
Why don't u all ask Katy Hobbs whT she will do to fix this.

Every American is, or will be, affected by homelessness. We need to address this on a federal/national level. This issue never even comes up in elections. We must band together and insist this crisis be addressed.
Maybe we can make them fill out job applications.
Anytime the federal government gets involved the only thing they're worried about is how much money can be funneled back to them. Take Ukraine for example and the cryptocurrency guy. I can name many more.
Yup but people think its only the west coast. Clearly its everywhere. This is not safe or healthy for anyone, asylums may be the best option with a new model of running them.
I find it striking that rent prices and homelessness increase together. That relationship is supposed to be inverse. Otherwise it will create an inevitable bubble because high prices are naturally unsustainable.
You should look up the homeless industrial complex.

Lived in Phoenix from 1985 to 2005. Moved back in 2017. There has always been homeless people in that area, just worse now The reason it's getting worse, is due to many reasons. 1 some people just don't want help 2 some don't want to work 3 some can't work 4 some want to work but don't have an address 5 some enjoy the freebies 6 some are to proud to accept help 7 some panhandle 8 house is expensive that those that want a home can't afford one. 9 if on drugs the clinics have a difficult time helping. I was one of the lucky ones and got back on my feet. The best thing you can do is make them feel human and wanted. Ask the questions and help them find a solution for themselves if you can. God bless

Lake’s answer to the homeless population was “get treatment, go to jail or get going” homelessness should not be a crime. Not every homeless person is on drugs. Many are vets, many are women and children, many have serious mental health issues. There is a side of homelessness associated with drug use and addiction but throwing ppl in jail when are jails are already overflowing is really a horrible solution unless the homeless person committed a serious crime and goes through legal process. And her part of the plan to “get going” ? I think she wanted to bus homeless ppl into other states and drop them off. See most the homeless ppl migrated here because our climate is more mild. Anyways I know you are going to have some snappy little response that doesn’t even address any of the problems I just mentioned. I really hope you never have to experience homelessness or being on the verge on being homeless. It can happen to anyone. Oh btw God isn’t an American. Jesus was born in the Middle East.

Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health and Human Services has cleanings on the streets of Los Angeles 5 days a week. It's mandatory that you gather your belongings and you have to be moved by 7:00am. They clean up everything left behind, they pressure wash and sanitize the sidewalks and the street sweeper/cleaner trucks does the entire road. If you leave a car behind it's considered abandoned. After all the cleanup then LAPD reopen the street and make sure everyone gets their spot back. This happens throughout Skid Row in the DTLA area every single day. Throughout the Skid Row area people camp in front of a business, they have to be gone by 7:00am and they can't show up until 7:00pm. The LAPD won't allow the homeless to go beyond 3rd Street for the width of Skid Row left and right at San Pedro Street.
