Thats a bit more expensive series, for every new deck its at least $80 worth of packs for the necessary URs of the deck, where TMT just takes a bit of time to set everything on EDOPro
Man, that intro is incredible. Clever name, fun af, SMD? Like, the thing you say to people who bitch about netdecking?? Not to mention with a deck you originally helped pioneer in SESL format. Truly inspired stuff Joseph. Great vid. A great start to a series!
I really appreciate the slower commentary in this video that's probably mostly due to the pace of MD itself. I think MD has a lot of newer players, and the slower pace is very nice to understand what the actual combo is and why it's good
This is quite a cool idea! Especially as long as we remain in this weird format. One thing that I think could probably help is either a section dedicated to budget replacements, or a video about them altogether. For example for most of my returning friends I gave them a simplified version of decks they were interested into (example drytron, because they loved the artwork) with not as many urs (no Maxx c, masquerena, appo, access, even perfection instead of ultimatness), and then I gave them a decklist to work into, that included most of the staples and stronger cards. So in this case you could maybe give a simpler version of eldlich (with mostly traps like lost wind/torrential/needle ceiling and some floodgates like skill drain), and then have people who are interested slowly work torwards the extra deck boss monsters, the tunings etc
I'm on adamancipator, play 15 games today in gold and only lost once to drytron maxx c me twice. Unfortunately, the deck isn't as powerful as before without linkross, the auroradon line is nice but it locks you into synchro, making it very hard to trigger block dragon if you go for that line.
Love this new iteration of your TMT/OTT type of video! It's really entertaining to see you talk over the Master Duel animations and pace your explanations to compliment it, it feels very cohesive. I'll definitely return to SYD ;)
This is great, more concise and simpler than the not-quite-10-minutes-Ten-Minute-Testings. This is probably the exact content people need to really get into Master Duel, if they were not hugely invested already.
For anyone reading this, you can make Calamities by going through the Garden Rose Maiden and Coral Dragon line. No more main deck bricks required, you get 2 draws (1 from Coral, 1 from Crocodragon) and it makes Calamities.
Not even gonna lie I miss this format. Seeing all of these insane combo decks pop up in the wake of TOS format and MR4 was so insane and really made it feel like it was an entirely new era of Yugioh
I really enjoy the slower explanation of the how the deck works. I imagine thats partly due to the replays on Master Duel being a little slower than Edo, but I actually understood what was going on the whole way through.
Gem FTK is absolutely in bananas in this format. With triple master diamond and lapis, plus mr5 making it so you can fusion to any zone, it's strong as shit, one way ticket to the top in a Bo1 format
The thing about best of 1s I've figured out is that you have approach deck building very differently. My Utopia deck is now a very solid going second deck that can and will smash in OTK you. You have to build your deck with options baked in instead of sidedecking answers. It's basically you deck building in the GX era. You don't know what you're gonna run across so you have to plan for a little of everything your theme can do and will come up against.
It's about this kind of video that we can really enjoy the viewer experience from Master Duel, and it's looking incredible. But thanks mister Rothschild, it's a cool new series and I hope it will work well for you
that's funny hearing you explain the auradon line. Make sens since some people playing Master Duel might be new to the game and it's nice of you to explain the B&B combos
I am proud to admit that my dueling skills and deckbuilding skills are horrible, so having a deck that I can turn my brain off like this one and for free on top of that (that is also not just normal summon the a-word) is a really refreshing sight. Thank you mr. Streamer funnyman Edit: I mean, the list is for free, but I will have to spend some bucks if I want to play this right now
Thank you so much for this, I'm really new to yugioh and am looking for a deck to play that I know is good, because I don't want to spend the limited gems you get at the start on something that isn't good.
Since Denglong is legal, you can make it first and grab Nine Pillars/Chiwen for a 3rd negate if you want. Might not be worth the extra bricks, but it's an option
I play vanity ruler stun. The goal is to win the coin toss go first then use the numeron engine to turbo out vanity ruler or fiend then set the imperial order.
Would be great if you could put together a list of good decks for players new to the game that are also fairly affordable so they can make a 2nd deck later. Stuff like true draco, mekk invoked are ones that come to my mind but there are likely far more.
I like the best of one format, it's going to force people to balance their deck to deal with anything instead of just siding in everything for games two and three.
I wonder what level of the ladder I'll start seeing Eldlich and Invoked. So far I'm undefeated to Silver 2 (I just downloaded the game yesterday) with a Cyber Dragon XYZ deck. This was my third deck, and my first deck was defeated (Synchron...very bad Synchron), my second was pure cyberse and I won two games with no losses, but both were close (Accesscode Talker is just really good for clutching victories from no where). All of my Cyber Dragon games have been almost flawless, with several zero LP loss games. I'll have to see if I start seeing these other decks soon, because most of the people I've been facing have been using some form of plain Synchron, Chaos, or even some X-Sabers. I was really fortunate to get a Chimeratech Fortress Dragon within my first 3 packs off of the startup gems (I'm completely F2P so far) so got the Cyber Dragon Secret Pack...which I also had really good luck out of...with 4 Novas and 2 Infinities within 10 packs. I actually still need a 3rd regular Cyber Dragon and a Machine Dupe wouldn't go amiss.
@@why8476 I knew about the crafting system, but didn't know which menu it was under until about an hour ago (I figured it was in the shop, not the deck builder).
MBT when you catch up on your progression series could you and your friends do a series where you pull from all packs once and try to make a deck with one pack from every set every week? Or at least something akin to it?
as someone who's returning to YUGIOH in the form of Master Duels after not having played in 10 years I love the idea of this series, please keep it up, the public deck feature in game is god awful and I've seen other people make meta tier lists and budget deck videos already but nothing beats an MBT spin, have you considered making a video about super packs and which ones are good investments based on the strength of archetypes in it and how much you could expect to pull based on 2-3000 gems? I bought 4k of the noble Knights packs and I'm currently gold 2 with the deck I made myself but since I know gems are going to become much scarcer as I progress I'm scared to make another investment, especially since after doing some research it turns out that infernoble Knights are rogue at best, but since it's the only thing that was in that secret pack it's all I have to play with.
Weird request but is there a way of doing a basic guide for people like me who are moving from duel links to master duel and have absolutely no idea what to do with the extended card pool, larger field and far more complex combos?
I'm trying both tri brigade and slowly assembling a Drytron list in case the former gets hit. I also have a utopia list. I spent 26 on this game and that's all. I wanna spend
I've been playing the fluffal list that Skyhawk had on your channel and it's so fun! Losing to 4 floodgates and an eldlitch blows but I'm f2p so I'm not too beat up about it
Now do an episode on Aleister, I mean, Aleister should've been the first episode, after all, if you have a brain and is playing Invoked you'd be a living paradox!
I'd love to see a link to this list as it's kind of hard to follow with how fast you go. But I'll give this a shot in addition to my normal Eldlich deck
Man super excited for this game still... hoping it because the main one to play Yugioh and Konami keeps giving more love and freedom to the developing team!
Master Duel is basically a crossover episode of all the decks during covid that never got to see success on a physical tcg level, except infernoble fuck them i guess

I hope master duel does stay different from the tcg. Would keep the game fresh and in certain formats even better than the tcg

Uh, Perfection isn’t a budget replacement for Ultimateness. It’s actually better.
This brings me back to the 2020 Meta. Man that was extremely fun. Eldlich being a combo deck and Adamancipator playing through 5 handtraps.
And VFD turbo in VW as well
And buster locking... and using halqi to summon olion...
