If you wanna make a hovercraft. Take plywood as your structure. Cut a hole in it for the air to exhaust to the skirt through. Make your skirt out of rip stop. Staple the rip stop to the plywood at the bottom but leave a large “bumper” around the edges that will inflate with air. Cut holes into the bottom. Spray the exterior of the rip stop bumper with sealant. The rip stop will breathe a bit inside which will release excess pressure into the bottom. The bumpers will give you an area inside that will hold air in and give you a high pressure ball to sit on. The air will escape the ball at the edges. The bumpers then ensure that air only escapes at only the perimeter. I won my engineering class’s hovercraft project. If you have any questions let me know

We were testing a fan for something we were doing in work. 12v fan, but 5 amps. Yes. 5. That thing could lift itself of the desk, it was freaking awesome.
When I was a kid, I pulled this exact model of fan out of a mini air hockey table. And I tried to make a hovercraft out of it too! only I had no power supply and just used 9v batteries. I think it was either a 100 or 120mm fan. Again this was something like 2006.
While testing, hook wires to back of an extra 5v DC connector and used really cheap electrical tape (dollar store quality).
I accidentally bumped the case, the fan fell over (was sitting on bottom of case chassis, not mounted or secured), one of the wires came loose and shorted my HDD.
I had made a lot of changes to include adding a lot of new photos and videos. And didn't do a recent backup.
FPS went up in Joint Operations and Counter Strike: Source).
I still have a smaller 80mm NMB Model: 3110KL-04w-B39 fan. Forget which desktop I used it for, and if I had any issues. It's a 12v fan, that can run at 6v as a lower voltage spec. But ideally it's a 0.17A @ 2W using the 12V setup!
50,000 hrs fan 31.8 CFM 80mm x 25mm fan running at 2700 RPM
Jayz's Deltas are on the low-end of the model list. I have two of those puppies that are rated 5.2A :) I have checked both of them in oldschool overclocking LGA775 mobo EP45-UD3R and motherboard survived it without any problems.
"im going to use both fan guards"
Fan Guards left in the corner: was that supposed to be funny?
1- Jay chops off the end of his finger, leaves the studio on an ambulance gurney
2 - Jay goes mainstream viral
3 - Jay gets 150million views and 10million more subs while Dr's are stitching up his hamburger digit
4 - ... Jay looks at his other fingers ... and actually considers option of early retirement.
Ever experienced a delta fan?
Me living next to the factory in Taiwan: YES, YES INDEED
Oof, bet thats loud AF.
Everyone: Nice fan bro
Jay: This is such a good shredder, GET ME CARROTS
I have a bunch of 13W DF Storm fans in my system. I'm using PWM control and a custom power harness with its own modular 6-pin PSU connector. Is also swapped the outer frame with an RGB one. It was quite a project.
Next Video: My Delta Fan ate my Graphics Card!
Delta fan...? **Socket A flashbacks intensify**
Ah yes, my trusty FFB0612VHE trying to get my 1.1 GHz Athlon to 1.2
Jay: have you ever experienced windflow at all?
Me: laughs in IBS
Jet won’t cool the machine though
@@boots6384 Still the temperature of the bypass air is really hot as well.
There is a reason that for cabin use, it is actually cooled with outside air at cruise to make habitable cabin air.
Otherwise you would get 100 degree C and above air into the aircraft, and that isn't good.
I bought a Delta fan back in college to see if it would help me overclock better. It was loud enough that I stopped using the fan before the computer had even finished booting :D
I used 2x 180mm Deltas for a project. They came of a Dell server/workstation tower. 3.6A monsters. I had to grab a 10A switchmode power supply and limit the voltage otherwise i COULDN'T HEAR ANYTHING ELSE in the room.
What's "delta"? That's a blowiematron
Jayz: I'm really worried about chopping my finger off so I'm gonna put these grills on there.
Also Jayz: Nearly chokes to death on the carrot bits
Also also Jayz: Proceeds to manipulate fan with no grills and chops finger.
Delta fans: exist
Lancia Delta: Am I a joke to you?!?
If you have any questions let me know
Hey, just a thank you for your videos. I just did my first gaming build since the 90's. I watched your videos and took my time. It came out great, first time through. Asus x570 plus, Ryzen 3600x, corsair cx750m PSU, ripjaws ram, A Samsung 1TB SSD drive, and I had to use my old GPU as I am not paying those prices. Will upgrade that when the market gets back to normal. Thanks again!! About a 950.00 build without a GPU. Not too bad I thought.
Jay; "I'm NOT going to put my finger in the Delta fan!"
Also Jay; Sticks his finger in the Delta fan..
:D
Someone do a slow mo of Jays tricep jiggle at 10:57 with that slowmo "oh yeah" sound effect
When it's in your recommended before the notification
i have an edf, which spins at 16000 rpm, and is 200w so it wouldn't even stop or slow down if your finger gets in there
This reminds me of a song my dad sang, to the the tune of "The Man From Galilee".
"Put your hand in the fan and you will lose a finger,
Put your foot in the fan and you will lose a toe,
Put your face in the fan and you will look quite differently,"
And that's as far as I remember it, I'll see if I can edit this to complete it.
_You should have a finger giveaway!_
It's a joke

6:53 I've watched his reaction to the fan DEVOURING that piece of cardbord 10 times and I'm still laughing xD
I remember back in the day, they had tornado fans that were so loud, but they were 80mm fans that could move something like 250cfm which was insane for the day. The sound still haunts me dreams...
I got a very airtight system by hot-gluing the fan to a gallon-size ziplock bag balloon, but on batteries it was pitifully underpowered and never floated.
I lived in Taipei back in 2000-2005, and I've bought/used many a Delta fan. Man, the memories!
Reminds me of the Vantec Tornado fans (I had a couple)... nearly 5,000RPM and almost 120CFM of airflow, they legit hover easily when plugged in without adding any bag or material and they are loud at 55dBA.
I have a pair of 120mm and a pair of 80mm Deltas. The 120mm ones I have are 2A, and they have directional veins instead of regular 4 spoke frame at the back.
I had a 60mm delta on an AMD Athlon HSF, the noise was insane.
JayzTwoCars: drops entire spring bar on his head, hammers his head, over torques his screwdriver causing him to drills his finger. Also Jay: let's play with this Delta fan that could potentially chop fingers off!
I use fans very similar to these in my Sim driving rig to simulate wind air flow. They can move some serious amounts of air.
Alternate title: 11 minutes of Jay playing with fans.
Phil's laugh makes all these videos worth it
