Redd’s humor was meant in pure fun. There was nothing deep, social commentary in any of his humor. It wasn’t supposed to be. He was NOT a dirty comic (that XXX humor came later with the “Wash Your Ass” album) his humor was double entendres, risqué, but he never said the real dirty words like Rudy Ray Moore, Pryor, Wildman Steve etc.
