I was wondering what happened to Alex and Dreams of Green. She hadn’t updated in a while so I thought she might have decided to do something else (or to continue on without RUclips). Lovely to see
Hi, I really enjoyed Alex’s videos as I do some rainforest propagation and am about to plant an orchard/food forest. I hope all is well at her place and that she feels happy to make more videos. Even just a random wander around their farm and the forest would be nice. Please let her know we miss her.
Thank you so much for your beautiful words 💚 I’m so thrilled you’re about to plant out your food forest! And yes, it’s time for an update. The tree growth here has been phenomenal, it’s so rewarding watching the property transform. Happy planting!! Alex 🌱🌿🌳
Fantastic story on Alex! She is such an inspiration. In fact, finding Alex's RUclips channel inspired me to plant my own food forest, which I recently did over Easter. Thank you Alex, you are amazing and truly inspirational 💚🍀💚
Me and my partner have just started planting 3ac in popanyining western Australia it's been a dry year .. growing seedlings to plant is great way to build connection with the plants
oooooooh, nice! I subscribed to Alex's channel and wondered what happened, as there wasn't a new video for quite some time now. Good to see, that all seems to be well! :)
Great work Andrew! I love this video. its so good getting to know a little more about Alex. I got hooked on her channel when i saw the video on creating a food forest with no swales or irrigation. I'm also on ten acres with no swales or irrigation and i found this video so inspiring! Alex you have such a relaxed peaceful energy and you have been so lovely to learn from. Very happy i came across Dreams of Green and Syntropic Pantry!
Wonderful! Thanks Alex, so inspiring :) Do you have fingerlimes - native to your area? I didn't notice any mention of them. And Kyogle's good for blueberries, yes?
Thank you so much! I’ve just started planting out finger limes these past few weeks. I think they’ll be a great addition to the food forest, and I’ve noticed on other properties how the little finches live nesting in them too. We’ve had great success growing all different varieties of blueberries in pots. That way we extend the harvest with different varieties and have easy access to them in the backyard. I can also keep the soil more acidic for them to thrive. Alex 💚🌿
@@dreamsofgreen Thanks for getting back to me Alex (I think you are a friend of my niece Prilly 😊) I grow finger limes on our verandah in Canberra as I know they don't like the frost. Our plant is about 20 years old and came from that extraordinary fruit nursery in Kyogle, prior to the craze. (Or near Kyogle?) After years of losing blueberries in the garden, I now only have a large pot. And I think I will stick to growing in the pot. We get a fabulous crop, I can feed prolifically and water lots. Plus, it's easy to cover a pot with bird net, otherwise I know we'd lose them all. The autumn colour is beautiful so it's nice to have the big pot near our main door. 🦋🦋
Love the moment the vision came on the ocean under the stars 🙂
Thanks Weedy! Alex 💚🌿
She is very practical, I enjoyed her mental process, specially the bio mimic part. Again love how practical and non complicated she is, kudos.
Thank you so much for your lovely comment! Alex 💚🌿

Absolutely. And then you have everything ready to go and can time your plantings with the rains. Best wishes for planting your new forest, Alex 🪴💚🌿

Lovely video! What is that green wrinkly fruit at 12:54?
Kaffir lime. Amazing in Thai cooking, the leaves and rind are both used 💚🌿
