Wrong. What's lacking is not passion in that voice. It's warmth. There is passion, but it's a cold, bitter, angry type of passion. And that's what makes it so charismatic, it being so sterile, cold, calculated, professional, and formal.
No fancy stealth tricks, no hit and run. Just you and eight of the scariest fighter aircraft ever to come out of Sukhoi, locked in a deadly dance for the Round Table.

Me at the beginning: “OH GOSH, OH GOSH, I NEVER NOTICED THAT “TWO PAIRS” TAKES DRUM CUES FROM “THE DEMON OF THE ROUND TABLE”, that’s AWESOM-wait a second”
I feel like Gault should had been in the Mercenary path considering that they are regarded in the records as the best of the best that the Belkan airforce had ever produced (Alongside Schwarze which were a squadron specifically made to perform Black Ops missions of VERY questionable degree). The Dr himself been the one behind A World With No Bounderies creation and it's leader as well, which it adds more impact the idea that the leader of this organization went PERSONALLY with his best pilots to kill Galm team. Even stablishing the use of the Su-47 as the aircraft of use for all the elite pilots that were related to Belka in later games.
That and mercenary typically gets the hardest ace squads... except for soldier having to fight Gault. Sorcerer were disappointingly easy by comparison. These guys are brutal because you have to fight all eight of them at once.
Yeah Gault being on Soldier doesn't sit with me well either. Either it should be placed on Merc or Knight, though I prefer the latter for this one somehow.
@@ArqTR knight feels better for me, also you know. The squadron aces that are knight exclusive have emblem is the shape of a shield/crest looking, Gault has one too [exception of Espada bcs it's a mandatory boss all routes]
The Su-47 flying overhead and turning at 1:19 as the music swells awoke feelings I never thought I’d feel. It’s as if Kupchenko turned to see the visage of the Demon Lord who claimed the Round Table as his own. His follow up line made it even more chilling.
Arguably the single most badass but also HARDEST Ace Fight ever exists on this franchise. Against you, its sole enemy. > May the victor led the war of justice. For the fallen.
You're forgetting something, other than the squadrons, there are unknown numbers of Belkan and Allied Forces defectors who joined the terrorist organization
Imagine if all of Zero’s squadrons survived, saw the error in their ways, and decided to help Osea take on Belka in the possible Ace Combat 8: Grim Reaper: “Fuck, we’re being overrun!” Trigger: “Damnit, we need backup ASAP!” Cipher: “No worries, Trigger, help is on the way.” Blaze: “And who might they be?” Cipher: “You’ll see.” Warwolf 1: “Holy shit.” Mobius 1: “What is it, Bishop?” Warwolf 1: “Multiple allied fighters coming in from the horizon. E.T.A 1 minute.” Phoenix, Rena Hirose and Talisman: “We see ‘em!” Meanwhile in the distance… Gault 1: “All Knights of the Round Table, begin the operation.” Gault, Gelb, Espada, Indigo, Silber, Wizard, Grun, Schnee, Rot, Schwarze & Sorcerer: “Roger!” Gault 1: “Let the victor, be justice.”
I love this line because of how ambiguous it is. Let the victor become justice and pronounce judgment on the loser, writing themself into history as right and the other as wrong. Similar to saying 'history is written by the victor'. This is one interpretation. The other: Gault knows that both sides believe they are in the right - that their causes are just. But he also knows that objectively, one of them is good and the other evil. It might not be obvious now - perhaps later, in hindsight - but until then, there is no way for anyone to tell. He says this line, hoping that the side that is truly, objectively justice will win, be it Gault or Cipher. Such a beautiful line. I also love the Su-47 so Gault has to be my favourite squadron.
Great. Now thanks to this video, when I listen to 2 Pairs now, I won't be thinking of Mihaly but I will be thinking of Gault now due to how.......somehow fitting this track is to Gault compared to Mihaly.
Haven't gotten to this bit yet (everyone knows what happens in Zero so meh), I'm excited for this. Gault is ruthless and cold. Two Pairs goes brilliantly with this, to the point I thought it was the actual song used.
Switching glorious AC0 ost, specially the one that plays during the last fight above the round table, with one from either ac5 or 7, which are the most scripted, boring, childish and lñess replayable AC games ever, definitely feels like an insult. Ace Combat zero and japanese AC3 should be once again the examples to follow in future instalments of the series, if there are to be more..

Gault Team is arguably the scariest, most challenging enemy squadron in the Ace Combat series.
