    This was so interesting I watched it 2x. I have never been much of a fan of Sean, but in this clip I saw someone with depth, humanity, humor and intelligence that I had never seen before. Most important is the genuineness of this man. I am thankful for the opportunity to be able to see this. Thank you!

I had avoided this, when I watch just about everything from you Trevor because my head was still stuck in the Madonna/Penn breakup... yes.... ignorant and stuck in time.... Trevor you rock! Asking those questions to Sean Penn about Venezuela really shows how ignorant he is about this subject to us Venezuelans who have lived this situation on first hand. I would like for Mr Penn to answer the following:
    1. How can he call Chavez a noble and good man if the installed a fascist/communist government in Venezuela killing and dissapearing hundreds of people??
    2. Elections??? You just have to do a quick search in Google to realize that there are no free elections in Venezuela.
    3. How can he say that Chavez didn´t have the time to fail or succeed?? Isn't 15 years of presidency enough??? I call BS!!!!
    4. Corruption? Yes Venezuela was very corrupt, but not as today. Nowdays even the food and medicine is being matter of corruption due to the lack of basic products. And you can´t even have your passport renewed without having to pay someone on the side that can help you.
    5. Didn´t support anything about Chavez??? This is his biggest BS. Just search for his beef with Maria Conchita Alonso in which he claimed that people who called Chavez a dictator should be sent to prison. What a great and diplomatic guy!!!
    Mr. Penn, just STFU and respect the suffering of an entire nation due to "your friend's" stupid decisions. Venezuela is like it is today because of the stupid decisions Chavez made during his 15 years presidency. Keep your stupid thoughts to yourself.

    It is so refreshing to hear a celebrity say it as it is and not just join the bandwagon. Across the world, people have looked up to America for hopes and dreams. For the better part of the post world war era, America has lived up to it. But since the last few years, a number of things have started coming in its way, the biggest of them being SENSATIONALISM. The root cause for most of today's problems arises from it, including a sensationalist president who is more interested in his image than his work. Somebody has to take the responsibility to stop this sensationalism. It remains to be seen where this responsibility comes from.

      Who joined the bandwagon? Most celebrities and people hate him. Only trolls and morons are still speaking up for him. Every sane "we'll see how this goes" person now knows how it's going to go.

    • @atishsanyal6121
      @atishsanyal6121 6 лет назад +5

      @Celso To clarify what I said, Trump is not the root problem. He is the product of bigger problem, SENSATIONALISM. Most celebrities speak too much about his personal life, his hands, and some other crap. But Sean very rightly says that those things aren't important. Which pornstar he had sex with, Melania not holding his hands, the size of his hands and all these are news because of SENSATIONALISM. In no other country will you see that a President's anatomy being ridiculed so publicly. Just because he does it to others doesn't justify others doing it to him.

    • @lurelover7065
      @lurelover7065 6 лет назад +3

      Trump is a mirror of what America is and has always been. America has distorted and lied so much. Most people much less white people don't even realize that all the millions of white people that died during the great depression died because they didn't have money, not because they weren't American or they wouldn't die for their country. there were plenty of food, shelter, factories.farms.The government and big money has been playing us from the beginning.

    Sean Penn is one of the most fascinating people in "the business". I would love to see him write a book or a series of books about his life. I just feel this wave of repeating. The Earth has been stuck in this strange time loop for way too long. We've been talking about the same things for so long that even though we know the answers we've be come content with the fucked up. It's like those commercials where you see those people reading the paper while there house leaks and crumbles around them. Or the picture of the dog in the house on fire saying "THIS IS FINE." its not. Im not.. We're not.

    chavez was my friend, he loved the poor, he didn't live to see it succeed or fail but then says it was bound to fail in the end? That's socialism for you penn. It's always great at the start, where you stepped in and made a friend, but in the end it's where it is now. So let's hear you say how you feel about the end that always, always comes with it.
