Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island Video Walkthrough 1/2
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 7 окт 2024
- This is the first of two videos in the video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc of the SNES game Yoshi's Island. This video goes from the start of the game to stage 4-4.
I should note that I'm only doing the normal stages, and not bothering with the extra ones.
Most likely I've missed a few hidden areas here or there, but obviously got the important ones since I was able to get 100% on each stage. I've been playing this game since it was new and it never gets boring. Though I will admit I hate that roulette game....

The intro music is causing so serious nostalgia. Not sure why I wanna cry.
i get that from time to time. a lot of 90s music, video games, movies etc
this, super mario world 1 and Killer Instinct make me teary!
I meant some* :P
Yeah yeah right
I know, reminds me of good years when gaming was pure, fun and innocent.
Maybe because luigi died?
this game is soo adorable it makes you all happy inside thanks for uploading this.
TsumeNoMai true!
TsumeNoMai true!
It doesn't make me happy inside liar, my peepee in on the outside, it makes me happy outside!
This game has the best soundtrack ever
This game has feel good music.
My super Nintendo is 20 years old and still going strong with NO signs of failing. I guess thats TRUE Japanese engineering for you.
I still have this game and still works. SNES for me was the best game console back in the day.
i think it still is the best console nintendo made
+Edeniobennettsque Best console period!
chuckobscure It's a tie between snes and the dreamcast for me
Edeniobennettsque I'm kinda surprised at how many people love that console. Hard to top the SNES games library though.
+bambina320 Don't forget super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 they have still nostalgic games too and i really like the Sega genesis for the sonic the hedgehog games they made :P
AWWWWW!! BABY MARIO in his diaper collecting star!! I think it's one best part of this game, actually playing baby Mario. Even though it's for a little while, I enjoyed that!!
Timeless. They don't make games like this anymore.
ur damn fucking right about that!!!
today we only have shitty garbage
Mr. Meseeks What about Yoshis wooly world? It's not as good as this, but it's still a good game
Mr. Meseeks can do! No they don't unfortunately.
Mr. Meseeks am i imagining things or do i really see you everywhere xD
I miss this game. Although the game itself appeared a bit childish, it was still a fun game to play and thats the most important part about any game. This game had a good replay value.
When I was 14 years old I was poor. I hard worked in a building all summer just to buy this game (knowing just a little about it). Now I have 36 y.o. and I think that this game was the best thing I've bought in my whole childhood/adolescence. Five stars on music, story, gameplay, characters and of courses, bosses. Thanks for bringing back the good old times.
Man, this was one of my favorite games as a kid. I don't think I ever noticed then how sometimes the red coins can be told apart from the normal ones. Those little details :P
Yeah, the red coins are just subtly different. If you weren't paying attention I suppose you could easily miss them.
I remember playing this game 20 years ago. :'). It was such a fun game. All of my cousins would sit around or tv and have turns playing. These were my fundamentals of growing up lol.
#goteamyoshi
805CalIfornIasfInest Come back to your comment after 3 years
7:15 that amazing chill music though
this game came out right before the playstation hit the scene. everything changed after that. This game is a fond farewell to the 16 bit era. Thanks for all the memories Saikyomog!
Jeremy would say a sincere "your welcome." Thanks for commenting. Jeremy's Dad
Michael Maldonad, I guess that's why I never knew about this game until the SNES classic Mini released. I didn't know what to think about this game at first but after playing it I thought wow this is pretty fun!
This is my favorite game of all time. I'm so glad you got around to doing it.
ah memories, used to play this amazing game as a child
It was definitely a strange Mario game. It is the prelude to all Mario games where Mario is a baby and you play yoshi. You don't really die (normally) but you lose a life if baby Mario falls off your back (if you get hit by an enemy) and the timer gets down to zero. It was ok but weird. Still nice to have in my collection.
Oh the feels and childhood nostalgia! Thanks so much for uploading these!
O.o The infamous Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy!
Seriously, I had problems with this level. XD
RIP Jeremy, if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be able to watch this play through of one of my favourite games of all time
Jeremy would have been so pleased to read your comment. His goal was to help people just like you. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. Jeremy's Dad
Great game, one the best video game sequels ever, although technically it's a prequel but still a classic.
Awesome! These games had the "it" factor: good graphics, great premise and gameplay and wonderful music. Truly a Golden Age game!
the best game in the World!
pingunguis torres the original is the best Mario game of all time
yes
Pun?
I like this one better then the original. I don't know why I just like how this one looks like a comic book
God that sound invoke's pure horror in me even to this day....just the mere thought of hearing "waaah! waaah! waaaah!" sends terror through my mind lol. I can't be the only one who was so infuriated by that noise right?
My all time favorite game growing up!!
the music was everything for me back then. And this game delivered
The second baby falls undetected towards the open sea...
*lands in the middle of a forest on a Yoshi's back*
(second baby not the first one)
Yeah that was luigi, mario fell down later and yoshi caught him.
Julian Glen it’s a video game dude....cheer up.....
Gangsta Braze do you not get the logic fail, or the joke?
The memories man ! Wish we could go back to these days
So many memories with this game 😪
Touch fuzzy, get dizzy was always my favourite level. I loved the music and the trippy fuzzy effect.
the art style, the music and the platforms are perfect in this game, and I remembered i spend a lot time playing this game and seems like only finished part of it..
i miss this game 😢😢
dont buy anything and get the emulator and play it for free. after im done what i began with pokemon Ruby i might play this. or the walking dead.
Snes emulator on your phone and have some fun
Nostalgia.
This video game defined my life when I was little.
i think thats one of the top 10 games ever made.. and it will be forever
perfect music, perfect character design perfect level design ect.. pure fun
I love the art style in this game, looks great

This game was my childhood
I remember that I used to play this game Yoshi's Island as a child.
Wow, the my memories gone crazy, i had this on my Nintendo gameboy advance.
Bringing back memories of the good ol' days.
the grafics, gameplay and music in this game is one of the best from SNES time!
El mejor juego de la historia de Nintendo, por lejos.
Damn. This music is bringing me back. Hope it plays well on my computer, which I hoped I'd be able to play it with. It would take some searching but I'm pretty sure I still have the the old controller. Could probably find it in a couple decades....
I was hooked on this as a kid I couldn't beat it do I came here for the memories thank you
When I was around 5-6 I used to play this game and I eventually beat all the games like donkey Kong mario island looking back it brings back many memories
Thank you so much for uploading these games! They remind me of my childhood. Cheers!
No problem. Glad you enjoyed it.
I like the music because I'm sleepy
g7thebeatmaker
Very relaxing Lmao 😴😴😴
omfg this was all i would play when i was in first - to 3rd grade possibly the freatest game of all time
best Mario Game ever
I haven't played this game in years but I could've sworn that Yoshi would make a sound every time you jumped or got hurt. Does anyone else remember this? It's really bugging me that I can't remember for sure. 😅 But overall AMAZING game! 😄
2:36:35 I've had this game for as long as I can remember and I never knew you could do THAT!
You`re a tough gamer!! I watch this video in Russia. A big Hello!!
My brother and I so obsessed over thisgame. Best Mario game next to super Mario 3!
i got the japanese version but still manage to beat it as a kid. what a game
AJHH THE MEMORIES I CANTTTT
Dashie needs to play this since he and Yoshi are homies!
THIS GAME IS FREAKING AWESOME!!!! I loved playing it
I remember playing this game when i was a kid.
Why isnt this game available on the eshop for 3ds? clearly one of he best mario games made
ambassador's edition. ughh
It wouldn't be possible for this version to appear on the 3DS since this version uses a FX chip and there's no way that the 3DS can emulate that. As for the GBA version its possible. But the GBA version is out on the Wii U VC.
The GBA version was released on the eShop only to whomever was part of the Ambassador program back in 2011.
Jonathan Beshansky Yes I know that since I own a SNES mini myself. A few people told me especially on TheSuperGamingBros's and MegamanNG's video that it had to do with the FX chip when I asked why these games aren't available on the VC. I also found out that a game called Stunt Race FX for the SNES was not re-released either. If I'm mistaken, did Nintendo had to sign a contract with the company that created the FX chips? I do know for a fact that they're expensive to manufacturer back then.
just crying thinking about this beautiful game I have the game but not the console😭😭😭😢
I always loved area 3 of this game. The monkeys can get annoying but it's a really pretty landscape.
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Jeremy would have been glad to hear that another fan of the older games had watched. Jeremy’s dad
I'm not crying, you're crying 😂🙈 good times good times
Yoshi is my favourite character cause it's like he's so loyal towards Mario and his other friends
I hadn't played this since I was a kid! This is bringing back such amazing memories, and memories of my nearly killing my DS with rage because I wasn't very good.
I forgot how awesome the music was too!
this makes me want to get a super nintendo.
Eduardo Pereira Eu estou a jogar no telemovel, saquei o emulador e ate da para jogar bem!!
Me too Lmao 😂 I bought a Super Nintendo like couple months ago dude it didn't work properly it freezes I have to restart it every five min.
@@heywannaplay6094 did u return it
Yoshi my favorite character...
Really cool story on the secret history of Super Mario Bros 2:
My favorite game in SFC
Saw your comments about you having cancer and all sorry bought that. :( but hey your going down in a pretty awesome way doing snes gameplay walkthroughs pretty awesome man! and you should make an irl video to sometime that would be awesome. Sorry if I offended you in any way
I couldn't stop laughing at world 1-7 when you hit those clouds and Yoshi get like super hi like he was smoking a lot of weed I couldn't stop laughing
que nostalgia me traz a musica desse primeiro estagio. Bom dms
Am I the one who finds this game cute?
Agnes K. I think everyone agrees on that.
YOU ARE THE ONE!
@Shigeru Miyamoto El ùn
Ice World was one of the toughest world for me when I first ran through this.
0:00- 3:04:37 childhood memories raced through my mind
Pretty cool game. On the "2-3: What's Gusty Taste Like?", exist a way to get out the invisible bricks, or not?
The music at the beginning is so sad. I watch a lot of walk throughs and these are by far the best.
Right in the damn childhood :'> I just miss this game , it was like tha GTA 5 of the childhood . I think i`m going to buy a new nintendo :))
This one's a Super Mario and friends games, epic game.
Yes yes! Thank you!!!!!!!!! I can't believe you did it! Thank you
I was today year's old when I found out the falling drawbridge doors in the first castle have four panels, whereas the ones with three panels don't. 22:48
It sounded mad funny because the music was mad distorted a had like this going up-and-down sound to it I laughed so hard at that
man, I remember playing this back then. Hey guys when did this first came out again?
2:49:20
World 4 - Stage 3
"Don't Look Back!"
*Yoshi looks back as it says that above him.*
O that poor frog boss I'm surprised Nintendo got away with the aftermath of that fight. What really surprised be was that they got away with flurry design in paper Mario a thousand year door you would never see cleavage in a newer Mario game today. At least the frog boss does not have a massive glitch like the piranha plant boss does.
Definitely one of the greatest games of all time
Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Jeremy would have been glad to hear that another fan of the older games had watched. Jeremy’s dad
3:04:02 I wish I could fart some magic light like Yoshi...
You and most of the guys in the world LOL. Jeremy's Dad
On level 2-5 its around 1:13:57 there are stars that are being missed for those like me that need them. the first is at 1:14:12 under the ledge i found it by accident. another that is missed is at 1:14:56 inside the box. 1:14:58 there are things in the first two tunnels up top shoot and egg.
Gonna make any commentary walkthroughs? I love your work I would just love to hear your voice with it giving tips and such!
I really don't have a voice for radio, so to speak. It's a bit low and gruff. You wouldn't want to hear it go on and on and on four hours at a time. I do plan on making a video of myself talking about my current health and so forth (it'll be a depressing video due to what I'll be announcing) and you'll see that it was a good idea to just never do commentary in the videos.
I do appreciate you watching them and all, and I will say that if I were to do commentary, I would have let the game speak for itself for the most part, but I think it's just better that I leave it out.
George Foreman Well, I wouldn't say it was that low...I do plan on making an update video some time in Decemember I think with me actually talking about my condition and how most likely I'll only be around a few more months before kicking the bucket...Won't exactly be a happy video, but I think it's something people should know....
Bro, anytime a voice is awesome! I bet it would be great!
