After all, the only frame they produced in game is the Basho, which is well behind the times. Perhaps they saw the RLF as a way to steal the technology necessary to modernize?

    Baws and their incredibly high amount of melee specialization makes this company have a soft spot for me.       @@armoredcoreloreseems like almost every corporation in this game takes a design philosophy from one of the various generations of Armored Core;
      BAWS: Gen 1 (the boxy and simple design aesthethic, with easy to use weaponry ["Core Theory"])
      BALAM: Gen 2 (their AC parts are pretty much a high resolution recreation the starter set from AC2)
      Arquebus: Gen 3/3.5 (They and their subsidiaries have the more rounded look that the higher resolution games were able to achieve with better graphics, also utilize more beam weaponry)
      Schneider/Elcano: Gen 4 (their ACs are usually faster and more agile than all the others, like mini NEXTs, and focus on lighter-weight weaponry overall)
      Dafeng: Gen 5 (an emphasis on more defensive, heavier ACs, like the armor-plated ACs of ACV and Verdict Day, and equally high-power weapons to counter all that armor)
      RaD, ALLMIND, and Rubicon Research don't really have a definable era of Armored Core that their designs fit into.

      @HeyPachuco 9 месяцев назад +23

      @@Year_of_the_Dell i'm mostly talking about the more realistic nature of the baws models that isn't related in-game traits.
      i get that they have good AP and good Melee stats for skilled pilots. in-game.
      but taking into the realistic nature of it: even both iguazu and Volta mockingly remark that the Busho model is no different than an MT they use as target practice.
      you'll even notice that pilots like Index and Little Ziyi are placed at the bottom of the ranks due to their restriction using Baws Models, while their more experienced fighters: Middle Flatwell, Ring freddie, and , Rokumonsen use the newer Elcano models.
      but putting a more realistic perspective and not game logic, Thumb Dolmayan was a dangerous Pilot than he appears.

      Volta and Igauzu...yes they do trash talk these ACs...just like they will trash talk yours and get told to shut up by G1 as they are still dangerous.
      Rokumonsen doesn't use elanco atleast not purely and shouldn't be counted among them as he is technically a independant. And seasoned vet of allminds programs
      Thumb is by all acounts used to ACs he was a Doser, he Had his own Event eith the Coral, he leads this from the front and preaches yes but thats just him
      Also Middle Flatwell does have a BASHO frame in one set and does well with it until we scrap it.
      To say people are 'restricted by the model they use' is rather in bad taste here since the RLF has been holding the wall with BASHOs the Juggernaut and MTs long before we show up and Elanco is a secret weapon that isn't even ready yet so of course not everyone gets one, the only time we see them in story is when Ring Freddie gets dumb and tries to poke the wall security and when Rusty comes in at the end
      Hell BAWS is literally bank rolling Elanco so they can make more parts for the big push
      it isn't the mech it is the pilot just not measuring up or being experienced enough to maintain.
      cause otherwise by your logic Rummy should be way higher since he uses BALAM parts and has been the doorman to Carlas op for a good long time

      "see i understand what your saying but will refute that you are severely misframing evidence, Index has been recorded as being a Better foreman than a AC pilot, Ziyi is a Teenage Soldier who pretty much just picked it up one day neither of whom are augmented and Generally have n"
      Hence why they were given Busho models, because they were inexperienced, and the experienced pilots were given Elcano Models. that itself is still evidence that they don't think highly of Busho models because they're outdated and under performed (realistically) by the newer models fit for Experienced and skilled fighters.
      "Volta and Igauzu...yes they do trash talk these ACs...just like they will trash talk yours and get told to shut up by G1 as they are still dangerous."
      except they never talked shit about your AC, they were talking shit about your character, you worked for the infamous Handler walter known for killing off his pilots and has no real affiliations, a low ranked nobody who for some reason caught the respect of G1 michigan, while wondering what made you so special.
      "Rokumonsen doesn't use elanco atleast not purely and shouldn't be counted among them as he is technically a independant. And seasoned"
      Doesn't really change the fact that he uses an elcano based model with a body modification of allmind. Quote: A wandering independent mercenary who shelters with the Rubicon Liberation Front.
      Well versed in long-lost classical theater, he has a particular interest in "ninjas" and "kabuki," relics of the past that he learned of from the Japanese immigrant culture which now heavily influences his eccentric style.
      Once, when Rokumonsen was on the brink of starvation, he was rescued by Ziyi, who offered him food and shelter-and ever since that day, he has been the sworn enemy of those who would do her and her comrades harm. (still a full indication that despite his independency, he's still heavily affiliated with the RLF and gave him the AC.)
      "Thumb is by all acounts used to ACs he was a Doser, he Had his own Event eith the Coral, he lead this from the front "
      That was my point...lol. that's what made him dangerous to begin with. had he been given the elcano (or any new gen ACs) he would of been an S tier pilot...maybe nnot as good as King, Freud or G1 Michigan, but nonetheless a s rank pilot...instead he fully utilized a Busho model and still kicked ass with it, while everyone else either thinks or knows that its a Model that won't get them very far in Conflicts...
      "Also Middle Flatwell does have a BASHO frame in one set and does well with it."
      you mean the Yaba generator? that hardly counts, since he's still using a FULL FIRMEZA frame which still proves my point...
      "To say people are 'restricted by the model they use' is rather in bad taste here since the RLF has been holding the wall with BASHOs the Juggernaut and MTs long before we show up"
      if you watch code geass and compare a gen 4 Burai vs a gen 5 Gekka you'll understand what standards i was trying to make here.....
      "cause otherwise by your logic Rummy should be way higher since he uses BALAM parts"
      actually he's using Dafeng Parts, mixed with Poorly modifications of the Wrecker arms and Legs, and a gen 1 BAWs generator barely able to even lift him or move around the area for his melee lunges. added in to the fact that he's more high on Coral than any dosser on rubicon, he's essentially Killdozer in ACFA, kills anything, chases anything, and doesn't think about anything but stomping you. which in turn makes him unable to perform well against other pilots like little ziyi and Index who at least have better judgement than rummy does. but little Ziyi was too emotional as a fighter, and index wasn't an experienced fighter. but at least they arn't crackheads like rummy.

    I’d imagine that any corporation involved in such a scenario would be concerned about one thing in general: profit. As long as you have money, the world opens up to you, and that wouldn’t be any different on Rubicon. My guess is that BAWS did have many people who were sympathetic to the RLF since they shared the planet for a long time, but their number one goal was making sure they were in business and just found the Rubiconian sympathy angle as a way to appeal to Elcano getting involved along with straight cash. In a sense, everyone wins: The RLF sympathizers get their ally they need to help combat Arquebus and Balam, and BAWS gets to kick competition off the planet while also being friends with a next-gen AC part company.
    Note that the Houkushi generator was made with Elcano’s help. That means now BAWS has access to an ally who can help them develop next gen AC tech. If From Software create a direct sequel to this game like what happened with the fourth and fifth entries, I’d imagine BAWS will have some more high tech equipment in their arsenal during that time.

    I swear Fromsoft kinda dropped the ball on their products, at least have another AC model, maybe a shoddy attempt at remaking the Ephemera. At least then Dunam, Zi Yi and Domayan can mix and match into their own thing and not just "BASHO but with different bits".

    So... muscle tracers mimic the movements of their users, right?
    So how does the baws tetrapod MT work? What controls the other 2 legs?

    • @armoredcorelore
      @armoredcorelore  8 месяцев назад +1

      The truth is we never actually seen how muscle tracers work on the inside as such we theorise its somehow connected with a pilot muscles to mimic movement. In the tetrapods case and this is my wild guess that it works like crab legs do. So if the left leg muscles of the pilot move, in turn the craft crawls left. The same can be said with the right. For forwards and backwords it might be the case that both legs of the pilot have to move forward or backward causing all legs to have to move the same way or having to just boosters to move forward and backwards since crabs do really walk forwards or backwards.
      On the other hand it could be controlled by a control stick or two since the pilot has to work the weapons too if they are alone. If not then maybe a driver and a gunner?
