$35 USD for tsunami, food fight and corpsicle signature cards? CHILD PLEASE!!!!
What do you think about the pricing strategy for these bundles?
I personally would like to see signatures valued at $15 for legendaries, and $5 for non legendaries. What are your thoughts?

When a whale starts "crying" about the prices, it should tell you something about the company greed... They are targeting the top 1% of the customers who has got the money. Hence no map or cinematic :) no more free stuff boys

The worth of a legendary is roughly $16, a signature legendary roughly $80. Diamond cards is hard to translate value, but probably more than a standard card so let's say $30. That makes the value roughly $190. Obviously, to someone who doesn't care about the aesthetics, it's worth $0 so that's obviously a terrible deal. But to collectors, whales, etc., that's a steal. The price is unjustifiable *for you*. People are allowed to like buying things. If you don't, then don't.

Spending $60 on the bundle you said was “at value” is encouraging this, it’s a very natural next step based on whale demand
I don’t particularly understand the distinction either, if you don’t want epic signatures why care? If you do, then they’re equivalent new art to other signatures for cheaper no? If it’s about collecting the actual cards for playing wouldn’t you already have them if you’re this level of whale?

    • @DadLegendHS
      @DadLegendHS  Месяц назад

A whale is gonna buy everything refardless. And if I feel the need to have it I’ll buy it. Legendary signatures I can understand because the drop rates are so low. But traditionally the non legendary signatures are on the rewards tracks for all.
This doesn’t seem to be in line with providing a reasonable cost for the non whales and I think that’s disingenuous.
If 25% or the cards have signature art, I worry about a time where an entire set has a signature option. We already have golden, signature art imo, should be a very limited in sparse thing

I don't really care about cosmetics. IMO, if Blizzard wants to monetize the game that way I'm totally fine with it. I mean, if some "whales" spend more money into cosmetics or stuff like and F2P / low spenders get more freebies / better Battle Pass in returns, if I think it's a good way to make money. I started playing HS a bit before Naxx got released. Over the years, the rewards for low spenders got better.

350$ an expansion.. that's a lot in the context of HS, but this is nothing compared to the whales of mobile games, who spend 10k a year or even more. I mean, hs monetization is a lot worse then of traditional old games, but hell of a lot better then typical mobile games. All os relative

as a guy who spent nearly $5,000 in marvel contest of champions and $2,000 in dragon ball legends, I totally agree. Its much cheaper in comparison. But, I don't think hearthstone is solely a mobile game or meant for a comparable business model.

HS has always been incredibly unfairly priced. I played back when GnG launched till a bit past Un'Goro. Then got back 2 years ago and now just watch some content.
Before duplicate protection it was even worse.
To rub salt on the wound even further, I'm from one of the regions that got the prices doubled a short while back.
    Mental. Utterly mental.

Honestly I dont see the difference between the bundles. Both or stupidly expensive.. dont buy it, they will just make more. In a year they will have rare signature bundles, in two common bundles. And in tree years they will have a brand new type of cards for whales to cry over/buy !

@@DadLegendHS I have both been buying bundles and been ftp, switching back and forth. And honestly there isn't much difference. Could not care less if whales are getting ripped off. You're choosing to waste your money on alt card art. There is no gameplay function. Either buy it or doesnt, it is completely inconsequential to anything. The 'cost' of hearthstone means nothing if that cost is not reflected in the cost of actual gameplay. Go spend money on your boy instead of spending it on blizzard, instead of being a self-described whale.
