You have consistently shown top flight moves. Great coaching points on breakdowns of moves that are successful against best wrestlers in world. Thanks Earn Your Gold Medal!
Every single pummel you show was a bad pummel. it shows that if you don't step to the center line with the underhook pummel, you will get arm spun or lat dropped. If they pummel correctly those moves don't work. Most freestyle and folkstyle guys always forget to move their feet. i yell at the kids everytime when we pummel to move your feet.
@@johngagen5340 you adjust your centerline with your feet then pummel, so you wont be off-balance. or if you watch john smith(one of the teachers) on over/unders they use their feet to create space to bring their opponent with them in different ways
At 9:40, the counter in the top left is super helpful. I would just add a description like "pummeling attempt" so i dont have to guess what the number is for
Not sure if it would've stopped the arm spin or the throw-by, but all the wrestlers in this video that tried to pummell did a horrible pummeling technique. All of them flared their elbow. You don't flare your elbow ever, you use your fingers and wrist while keeping your elbow close to your body. You could actually get double unders more easily if somebody is pummelling with a flared elbow. You just push up under the flared up elbow and eventually end up with double underhooks
I agree, my coach, Chris Fedser, had us understand pummle but really only as a switch. Get to you position & do it. Don't fucking dance in a pummel. Plus Don't tie up just wrestle. I appreciate your work brother! Keep it up.

Can you explain more what you mean. Where are you supposed to move your feet when pummeling? I’m not sure what stepping to the center line is.
@@johngagen5340 "Can you explain more what you mean." No, he cannot.

Could you do a video on how to watch film and what to look for?

Learned this series in middle school but my hs coach didn’t like the arm spin so I stopped doing it 🥲
