  • This clever tutorial guides you step by step through how to use a shorty wraparound baby sling to create your own ring sling, all you need are a set of sling rings, no need for a sewing machine!
    This is a handy hip carry to learn and one of the many things you can achieve with a shorty sling. Laurna also shows what you can do with the tail, including head support for newborns.
    Laurna is demonstrating with her Base Size -4, which is a size 2 wrap. You can do this carry with your base size -2 to -4 depending on how long you like the tail of your sling to be.
    Here Laurna is using a size 2 Misty Mountains Aduial - oschaslings.com/search?&q=Mis...

    I would like to get one of your slings. Im grateful for this video as I couldn't decide between ring sling or just a warp one. Now I see I can make a ring slig with wrap sling by using rings 😊

    Do you ever have any problems with the short inside tail slipping from the baby's weight?

    • @OschaSlingsOfficial
      @OschaSlingsOfficial  2 года назад +1

      Hi, thanks for your question. The tail won't slip provided you have enough of a tail for it to sit over your shoulder and it's properly fixed by the longer tail on top then your baby's weight acts as an anchor. This carry does work best with older babies because the heavier weight does a great job at anchoring it.

    If I only have a rigid wrap and just got some rings… would that work out or should I get another wrap?

    • @OschaSlingsOfficial

      You could try breaking the wrap in a bit more so that its easier to work with - ruclips.net/video/HCt884nQvAo/видео.html

    Can I use a solly baby wrap with rings to make a sling?

    • @OschaSlingsOfficial
      @OschaSlingsOfficial  3 года назад

      Obviously we'd suggest you use an Oscha ;) I'm not too sure on the fabric, but theoretically it is possible if it is woven (rather than knitted like a stretchy sling) and around 2.2 - 2.7m.

    Is it possible I can get a measurement on the length and width of the fabric

    Can this be done with a thicker wrap? The one one this video looks thin

    • @OschaSlingsOfficial
      @OschaSlingsOfficial  2 года назад

      Hi, yes you can also do it with a thick wrap, it may be a little harder to adjust but will also hold the tension well.
