I'm so tired of everyone trashing Moniece about her choices as a mother. She knew that she wasn't in a stable place at the time; financially or with her mental health. She made a mature yet painful decision to give up physical custody of her son in order for him to have a better childhood. A childhood he wouldn't have to heal from. No mother wants to give up their child (especially their only child) but she did do what she thought was best for her son. And she didn't give him up to a stranger or put him in the system, she gave him to his father who has the same amount of responsibilities to that child as Moniece does.
Yes! She *was* putting him first, the selfish thing would be dragging him along through her struggle. For what? Yes he needs his mother, but she isn’t completely absent from his life.
The scene at the reunion when Rich Dollaz had to calm Moneice down after her meltdown - I absolutely loved that because you can tell that's the kind of partner she needs. As much as I can't stand Rich I lowkey wish they could have made it work because he just knew how to handle her.

As someone who had a child fairly young (19) I understand what Moneice is saying. She didn't have support from her family when she had Kam and while yes, she is a mother and she is supposed to be responsible for her child, most people have grandparents, siblings, parents and friends to help out so that you're able to work and/or go to school to become a better person. If she isn't supported it makes things even harder and I've been there. It takes a village to raise a child and if there is no village, the child suffers. My parents didn't help me, my grandparents weren't alive and I didn't have any siblings close by to help me while I got my degree. I just wanna hug her because I feel her. ❤️

I'm so tired of everyone trashing Moniece about her choices as a mother. She knew that she wasn't in a stable place at the time; financially or with her mental health. She made a mature yet painful decision to give up physical custody of her son in order for him to have a better childhood. A childhood he wouldn't have to heal from. No mother wants to give up their child (especially their only child) but she did do what she thought was best for her son. And she didn't give him up to a stranger or put him in the system, she gave him to his father who has the same amount of responsibilities to that child as Moniece does.

But Monice didn’t do that because she knew she wasn’t capable of being a good mother majority of the time, she fought tooth and nail with fizz in court and lost which says a lot, that’s why she only has weekends and most of the time not even that. She didn’t choose to do what’s best for her son she was forced to by the courts. And continued to do everything she could to make sure fizz didn’t have a stable family environment for him, she had to create chaos ALL THE TIME
Moniece has shared that her mother not only was never a mother to her, but actually tried to convince everyone- including Fizz- that she was crazy and got a doctor she paid to say as much so that she could have her committed. Both Fizz and Rich have shared similar experiences when it comes to their relationship, that Marla has never had Moniece's back. If it wasn't for Fizz's constant disrespect of Moniece no one else would feel like they can do so freely. As someone who had a child fairly young (19) I understand what Moneice is saying. She didn't have support from her family when she had Kam and while yes, she is a mother and she is supposed to be responsible for her child, most people have grandparents, siblings, parents and friends to help out so that you're able to work and/or go to school to become a better person. If she isn't supported it makes things even harder and I've been there. It takes a village to raise a child and if there is no village, the child suffers. My parents didn't help me, my grandparents weren't alive and I didn't have any siblings close by to help me while I got my degree. I just wanna hug her because I feel her. ❤️
