Possible but sadly unlikely. Going off of the Knuckles Show, any spinoff they make will likely be a "stand on it's own expansion" that you don't need to watch to understand the movies when watching them in linear order. If we get a Shadow spinoff, it will likely take place after movie 4 (Because movie 4 is going to take place right after movie 3.)
The producers of the movies said that the reason Amy wasn't in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 was because they didn't want to do her dirty and relegate her to a side character. If Silver was in Sonic 4, Amy would definitely be sidelined. At most, Silver should be the post credit scene for Sonic 4. So he is the next main character in Sonic 5.

I agree, but we're more likely to get Silver than Rouge based on word going around. Though I do feel Rouge should come first. We also may end up with Omega instead, due to the fact that robots are cheaper to CGI. Though honestly, a movie with the main five would be fine as far as character developments goes to prevent overcrowding in the story.
Honestly i would really want the Shadow spin-off movie to be about Shadow exploring his origins of where he came from which could lead into introducing the Black Arms and Black Doom, sorta like a loose adaptation of Shadow 05.
Absolutely. I hope at least that Shadow is given a reason why he's a hedgehog or looks like Sonic (feels weird that they drew attention to Shadow and Sonic looking alike when that wasn't a plot point like in SA2). Because he seems to have been made as is by the Black Arms, but none of them are fuzzies. So it'll be weird if they don't give a reason why Shadow is but none of them are (or maybe they'll just redesign the foot soldiers to be a bit more Shadow-like).
@@ShaleLeeIt. It was a plot point in Sonic Adventure 2 though. The game opened with Sonic escaping GUN arresting him because they thought he was the one committing Shadow's crimes. Amy straight up mistook Shadow for Sonic. Them looking like each other was absolutely a plot point.
I believe Sonic 4 is going to be a combination of Sonic CD and Heroes. Metal Sonic and Amy come from the future as a more advanced Metal Sonic is built by Eggman Nega. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy team up to beat a more advanced metal sonic (Neo Metal Sonic). In the mid credits, Silver and Blaze enter the present from the future as kinda like time keepers because the timeline has been disturbed. During the fight with Metal Sonic, Chaos 0 is released into the world by the end credit scene. Sonic 5 would be like a combination of Sonic Adventure and Sonic 06. Shadow TV show: Will reveal him being created by Black Doom and introduce Rouge the Bat as a GUN agent with E123 Omega as a GUN robot. Because Rouge and Omega help Shadow fight against Black Doom, they are terminated from GUN and form Team Dark.
This sounds really good but one thing is that mephiles should be included with silver and blaze. Although now thinking about it mephiles could be a thanos type that comes afterwards where everyone has to team up
Y'know, when I was in the cinema and saw Amy in the post credits- I immediately thought that its gonna be a situation where Sonic knew Amy back on longclaw's planet or green hills or whatever you wanna call it. And since Amy's classic and Modern designs look so different, maybe thats why Sonic doesn't recognise her, but she recognises Sonic. This would be an easy and smart way of introducing Amy and Sonic's dynamic to the Movies franchise, it would also make sense as Sonic CD came out before Sonic 2 and 3, which could be used as foreshadowing for Sonic already knowing Amy before he knew Tails and knuckles. Additionally, I believe that Amy could've found some rings in longclaw's house while checking up on sonic since be then Sonic was gone- Just a little fun theory, your theory, however, is so fun, its out there like how Sonic as a franchise is and it actually makes a lot of sense. Side note, one of the Metal Sonics in the post credits was blue while the rest were like a grey or dull yellow, thats why Amy's hammer destroyed them all but Sonic's punch only turned the blue one's head- potentially, the blue one actually fled as I didnt see Amy deatroy him, maybe he was getting bio data? Maybe we'll see Neo Metal sonic or Metal Overlord?
I definitely like this idea. After all, Knuckles is from a planet full of echidnas, Tails is implied to be from a planet full of foxes since movie 2 adapts his bullying backstory, Long Claw is from a planet of owls originally, so it only makes sense that Sonic's planet has a bunch of hedgehogs. The only issue is that Sonic claims that his access to chaos energy is unique, so having a friend with that same access would be impossible. Maybe Amy learned how to use chaos energy later?

Sure, it's possible both of them were wrong, but it's unlikely, and audiences wouldn't be happy with the change. Generally, it's better to establish new information, rather than contradicting the old. In that case, Amy simply unlocking chaos energy after knowing Sonic would patch things up better. Or she could not have chaos energy. Which would make sense since there's not a pink emerald, and so far all chaos energy has matched an emerald color. Though, I'm pretty sure Amy uses chaos energy in her scene.

I keep thinking we are building up to a ‘06 story given we have time travel and Iblis from the Knuckles show. I want Mephilis to be the villain in that movie, but I also want to see Chaos at some point. I’m just trying to figure out how to consolidate all those ideas in a movie plan
@@jalengaskin8450 No. I think it would be caused by Knuckles dying and Sonic being knocked out or stoping Metal Sonic in the bad timeline. And Metal Sonic plans to prevent that future that by trapping Knuckles into a seto-eternal prison and becoming strong enough to overcome Iblis when he awakens. Which then would lead to a final battle in which Sonic and Metal Sonic will fight in the bad future, when Iblis is at his strongest state. A very tense countdown kind of finale.
@@jalengaskin8450 I am thinking Metal Sonic will reference Terminator 2. The moment terminator gives a thumbs up to John Conner. And terminator 1 with Metal Sonic being crushed and resurrected into his current movie self. Mainly because Metal Sonic is likely the character that allowed Silver to be the way he is in the future. Being very close to Sonic and Shadow, but also advanced enough to give Silver his glowing boots, gloves, and maybe give him a name based on Silver Sonic.
I think silver and blaze will appear in a end-credit cause they can' t do enemy to friend 4 consecutives time but is too soon to have silver in film as an allay, i also espect before the next sonic film a shadow show or film to introduce team dark somehow(with maibe agent stone integrated to the squad too), perhaps a season 2 of knuckels to introduce the chaotix. Time travel, amy and neo metal are certain to me. It would be also cool if silver is guiding a resistance in the future, and he sends amy to the past but we don' t know that he is the leader (or just a member )until the post-credit.
i really like these ideas! however, it feels like a bit too much for one film. the story could be split in half between 4 and 5. also, i could totally see either a shadow movie, or more likely, a show (like knuckles got) maybe the only way to save humanity in the end is if sonic and the team just arent on earth anymore.
Yeah I’m like I was saying I think I’m all likelihood Team Dark could be pushed back to a 5th film and/ or their own Shadow movie, but I just wanted to throw the possibility out there and cover all bases. I also think Silver will barely be in the fourth movie. The main plotline I feel will be the Metal Sonic/ Terminator style story and whoever who can fit naturally will fit.
I think the ideas are too disorganized for a Sonic movie. Sonic 1 had Sonic, Tom, and average folk. Antagonists: Robotnik, Stone, and Gun. Sonic 2 had Sonic, Tails, Tom, and Maddie, Antagonists: Gun on their own. Team Stone, Eggman, and Knuckles. Sonic 3 had Team Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles. Antagonists: Gun on their own. Team Eggman, Gerald, and Shadow. Sonic 4 has Sonic, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles Antagonist revealed: Metal Sonic, who sought to bring down Sonic. Which makes me think Metal Sonic isn’t working alone, but will have Blaze and Silver on his side to do the same job. We know that Sonic 06 and CD both involved a powerful Eggman robot surviving a bad future it didn’t cause. It makes me think that the Metal Sonic robots we see were produced by Metal Sonic himself for a purpose of destroying Iblis monsters. To make surviving that horrible environment easier.
My prediction for Sonic 4 was that it would be based off of Sonic CD but instead of Amy being the damsel is distress it would be Cream the Rabbit. Sonic 4 Pitch: The Metal Sonic army are an intergalactic threat and have already taken over multiple planets. The beginning of the movie is told from Amy's perspective where we see her in Mobius with Cream and Vanilla living happily, until one day an army of Metal's begin their invasion where in the process they kidnap Cream. Amy then goes from planet to planet following the trails left behind by the Metal Army until she comes across Earth which leads to the Sonic 3 End Credits scene. The movie will be heavily focused on both Amy and the mystery of the Metal Army so most of the film will be the duos of Sonic and Amy searching for Cream and developing a semi-romantic bond whilst Tails and Knuckles will be on the side looking for clues as to who created the Metal Sonic's. By the end of the film Cream is rescued and the Metal Sonic Army are seemingly defeated and it's revealed that Metal Sonic was originally created by Dr Eggman as a fail-safe in the event of his death. Sonic, Amy, Knuckles and Cream are having a party with Tom and Maddie celebrating their victory but Tails is nowhere to be found. Sonic notices his best friend missing and rushes off to find him. Sonic finds Tails alone and asks what's wrong Tails tells him that he feels like something's off, when him and Knuckles found the blueprints and data from Eggman's base about Metal Sonic it appeared as though he only made one Metal Sonic, so who made the other's? Sonic tells him not to worry so much and that if the Metal's show up again then they'll just beat them again together. Tails laughs and then the two then rush back to the party and the movie ends. End Credits Scene: The scene starts in the area where the final battle of the movie occurred by hearing Metal clanking and sparks flying. The camera slowly pans around the area where we see a bunch of destroyed Metal Sonic's on the floor, the camera keeps panning across untill we see only one Metal Sonic who is using the parts of his fallen comrades to upgrade himself to become Neo Metal Sonic. Great video. This is basically where my thought train is for the future of the Sonic Movie Universe. Movie 4 is 100% a loose adaption of CD, with a few elements from other games and media. I honestly think Silver would be a great minor antagonist the more I think about it. As I feel like doing time travel as a main focus in one movie, and another later would feel redundant. Just introduce Silver as a foil to Amy. Amy believes in Sonic as a savior to the future, while Silver is pessimistic at first and wants to end him. With characters like Blaze, Cream, and Big making cameos as a part of the future resistance. I especially agree with how Amy should stay similar in characterization to game Amy. As I would honestly hate it if they do a full role reversal and make Sonic the simp lol. I know they've already changed so much with him, but that'd border on character assassination at that point imo. With everyone else... I honestly think Movie 4 doesn't need Team Chaotix, Team Dark, or Eggman either. As those are characters that could be built up in side projects. Team Dark in whatever Shadow does. And man, I really want a 2nd Knuckles project that ACTUALLY focuses on Knuckles, and then casually introduces the Chaotix there. From there. Yeah, we need Chaos by that point. He'd be great for Movie 5. As I could see him as the villain who causes the most Earth destruction. (Unless they bring in Dark Gaia... hoooo boi lol) And maybe that's a final straw of making Sonic & Co slowly realize they can't stay on Earth. And its a conflict for Movie 6. But for the villain there, they should just bite the bullet and do Mephilis. Which I know he's messy, and 06... ofc. But they've basically set him up with the Flames of Disaster. Could see him being this Thanos type villain who comes over tearing everything up looking for Knuckles. And the plot is everyone protecting him. End the 2nd trilogy with Sonic & Co finally living off Earth, but leaving it open ended for mayyybe coming back for more sequels and stuff. (Even though if you ask me... they hit the limit there. Fewer people are gonna care for them adapting anything past the 2000s games. I'm sorry lel)
You know, I feel like Shadow would team up with Sonic and Amy will most likely join the group so they all could defeat Metal Sonic and Silver will make an appearance with Blaze in the middle of the movie respectively.
When watching the Knuckles Paramount series I was confused why they were allowed to mention Iblis and the flames of disaster. But if the live action movies are going to avoid Sonic 06' it starts making much more sense. One idea I've had based off what I've seen others saying, what if Ivo does survive, has a family, and some point in the future a descendant of Ivo (The movie's version of Eggman Nega), finds out about Ivo's past with Sonic and friends, forms some sort of hatred for the hedgehog, then forms a plan which involves sending metal Sonics back in time, either he created or he discovered the blueprints for metal Sonic that Ivo never got around to finishing. So Silver sends Amy back in time, which is why she appears at the end of the 3rd Sonic movie.
To touch on an early comment about it being "concerning" that Metal Sonic got beat already, a theory I have is that they are going to roll Metal Sonic and all the versions of Mecha Sonic, and possibly Neo Metal Sonic and Super Mecha Sonic into one villain. I think that Metal Sonic will be like a "stalker" enemy in Resident Evil, an invincible enemy that constantly chases you, but I think Metal Sonic will constantly escalate, becoming more and more of a mechanized monster as the film progresses.
I think it'd be cool if they went about it similarly to Avengers during the Infinity Saga. The big bads being Metal Sonic, Chaos, then Mephiles as the Endgame
I feel like Amy is probably not "from the Future", but the version we see at the end is, and she delivers a warning to Sonic before leaving and tells her to find her. We then get to meet a slightly more Old School Amy Rose and watch her develop into the resistance fighter. There's definitely going to be some timey wimey weirdness - they've said each Sonic movie is a different one, Movie 4 is definitely going to be a more hard on time travel/general sci-fi movie, it'll definitely use elements of Terminator, Age of Ultron(with the drones controlled by a prime Metal), and will use some of the backbone of Heroes(I've been saying they'll combine them too - it only makes sense since both games are a little light on Story, combine them and you get THE Metal Sonic movie) In that case it would be weird NOT to have SIlver, but I feel like he'd be a more minor character, being used elsewhere for a more 06 centric plot with much lighter time travel elements. Also agree that they have a good setup with a villainess GUN - reminds me of GHOST from Transformers Earthspark, a military organisation starting as allies but going down the dark path most US Military influenced organisations do - Rockwell definitely feels like their Amanda Waller.
I listened to this while cooking so I might've completely missed you mentioning it. But I think the next trilogy/saga for the sonic movies is looking for the Chaos Emeralds since Shadow got blown tf up while using them. He might've survived but he could've lost all of them and now they're spread out. Maybe Shadow finds the green chaos emerald offscreen so when he returns he has his chaos control ability, and in the actual movies Sonic, Tails and Knuckles just seek out the rest of the emeralds to keep their oath while defeating more enemies
It's crazy seeing ppl post theories so damn similar ro the one I've been saying since before sonic 3 came out. The major difference where i included elements from the ancients bc I thought they'd keep Shadow's origin closer to the games. I would have had Mecha Sonic fill the roll that Metal apparently seems to be here with a bunch of them. And proper Metal Sonic being the leader of them, a Robotized sonic.
10:25 I feel like there's enough content between both Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog to make another tv series out of for Shadow, especially if they're going to be introducing time travel into the francize. That's not even getting into the stuff from Sonic Battle, which I have no clue if they'll even bother with.
I really hope that the movie takes a slightly different approach to team dark and has Shadow team up with Rogue and Emerl. It would be very Vision/Ultron esque to have Emerl fight against Metal and Shadow is the perfect character to help Emerl on his journey of decided what it means to be alive.
Silver can be a young innocent good guy in 4 regarding the Metal Sonic plot, but then he returns in Sonic 6, being hardened by everything, and tries to kill Dutchess Elise of Italy because she will cause the apocalypse of fire.
@ Sonic 06 has three different story lines at the same time. It would be better if they adapted Silver’s story, and make 06 essentially Sonic with Shadow and Silver on the same team.
This is some solid concept that I thought about when I saw the post credits opening night, and I have my thoughts noted a while ago on Twitter from 12/21/24 So, thinking about post-credits gives us Sonic CD characters and potentially a Heroes story, I can see a time travel arc in 4 where Stone fulfills Eggman’s wish to destroy Sonic, creating Metal, but he ends up creating a Metal Army uprising in the future. Basically it’s a Terminator plot, Amy comes from the future to prevent the Metal Machine uprising, Amy admires that Sonic was the hero who protected earth in the past and wants his help, she starts seeing him becoming the person she loves in the present, Tom gives him the Talk. Also, if we have a time travel plot, you absolutely need a Silver and Blaze cameo, so maybe Amy served Princess Blaze, the metal uprising reaches her people, she orders Silver to send Amy to the past to prevent it, but she needs to meet up with a contact, some like Rouge as guide [Addendum: Going of your purposed concept, if GUN really is the catalyst, I think Stone will be their key to repurposing the tech since, he was last scene using Eggman’s crab, egg drones, and exploiting his expertise. GUN might even be more shady with Christian Ritter’s character and forcing Stone to help create Metal, turning him into a tragic figure. I think if Jim Carrey isn’t returning or is limiting his cameo, it HAS to be in the context of carrying out the through line of the previous movies (and be real, no one can match his star power performance as an antagonist) so the fallout needs to come by those actions]
Metal Sonic’s entire thing isn’t about being the terminator. It’s about him being the real Sonic. He’s more more an insane dude that does a bit of Sonic and Eggman things.
If they're going to do Sonamy I'd want it to be earned and built like a real relationship. I mean they did it with Stobotnik so they could at least try to do it with their main cannon ship if they want a good story
I think the movies have been plating the seeds for a greater conflict between Team Sonic and GUN. The fate of the GUN Commander was left open in Sonic 3, so in the meantime that woman could have taken over GUN began researching means to protect the world from the aliens. But my theory for Sonic 4 that Eggman built the Metal Sonics himself. Here me on this: Eggman is remains dead, but there comes another Eggman from a different universe (sort of Eggman Nega). This Eggman comes from a universe where he successfully caught Sonic in the first movie and used his powers to power his machines, with Meta Sonic being his magum opus. Using the bag of rings and the map from the first movei this Eggman invaded other worlds to conquer them for himself. This version of Eggman is a lot closer to the first movie, not going bald, less crazy more evil, and still is backed by the US army.
I don't believe Amy is from the future (or at least a far future), but a destroyed or occupied version of Sonics home planet. I feel you're close to guessing the plot, closer than most Sonic fans guessing Mephilis
In Sonic 3, we saw Sonic's quill turn gold when he went Super even though it was separated from him. So if the Metal Sonics are powered by quills, would they go super when Sonic does?
My theory is that Eggman from another future or timeline built Metal and at some point Metal manages to turn off his A.I inhibitors and either kills of imprisons Eggman, depending on if Jim Carrey comes back. I don't like the idea of G.U.N building Metal but i can see how it would work, since Eggman would be smart enough to not give his machines A.I but while G.U.N is smart enough to build Metal Sonic, their not smart enough to stop Metal from going haywire.
I’m going to throw my hat into the ring say we may end up getting the Wisps from Sonic Colours. Colours compliments CD quite nicely as they both have Eggman chaining a planet for his own gain and conquest.
when i saw them i was imediatly like " yep, we got sonic 06 on the big screen next". My reasoning was a theory about how metal is just sonic that failed to stop eggman and got roboticied . that and and i saw metal entering terminator style .

I think Amy's gonna be the typical female protagonist, she'll hear sonic is something amazing, see he's actually a childish idiot and not like him then fall in love. I would give anything for silver to appear but I can't see it. The 4th movie I believe we'll return to sonics dimension, every movie it's been brought up even the 3rd where we went back to sonics cave and saw his picture of green hill. And I think maybe his world has been taken over by someone with 100s of metals. Also this might be a odd thing but I want the chaotix to return as possible humans, a trio of humans with code names as the 3 chaotix and they'll just be doing detective work in the background on the villain to join and help sonic in the end , also they'd be a main comedy aspect. Because I feel they aren't popular enough to get actual model's and the humans in the movie are so forgettable I feel this could be a really good idea
imma just say this before i watch this video: if those metal sonics are clones then that lines up with heroes plot bc he made clones.. AND the fact that shadow will have his own movie and chaotic with their own series (which they appeared in a comic already btw ) and the fact that rouge will probably be introduced in one of or both of them meaning everyone will be on sonic 4.. but what about big and cream you ask? well they will be introduced with amy in sonic 4 so sonic heroes is perfectly set up AND sonic heroes will be having a game release most likely 2025 sometime and that will tie in and get more sales especially when sonic 4 is released 2 years later edit: i also thought metal sonic would be a different look like sonic heroes so its crazy you say that and pretty much the same idea i got, that sonic heroes and CD will be the main line inspo for sonic 4
I really think a Sonic Heroes should be a later story when all the teams are developed, Metal Sonic should be a villain in both movies. Maybe at the end of 4 we think Sonic dies. Chaos needs to be the Thanos level threat.

I think the name you are looking for for a higher up Metal Sonic is Neo Metal Sonic and his evolution after copying all of the life data of all the characters is Metal Overlord. All your theories could be correct, I think the good team is going to lose like you said and the big bad of Sonic 5 or 6 will be Metal Overlord with Eggman returning at some point to help like he does in Sonic Heroes to some copasity. Instead of having all of the teams from Heroes, it'll just be a few characters but still get the point across that team work is now the main point of these next films. Sonic 3 was about Sonic learning to become the leader of his own team, and now he will have to learn to work with other different teams, or at least be able to influence them so they can lookup to him and be the hero he is meant to become in their eyes. As you implied, this could have some things from Sonic CD, Heroes, but as well as 06 as this could be the dystopia where everything is destroyed, just replacing Ibilis with Neo Metal Sonic. And you did say that you don't think the Chaotix will appear, but the director did state that he wants to make a show about them (also not to mention the fact that they do exist but in the comic tie in for the Sonic 2 / Knuckles show).
I think jim carry comes back but in flashbacks and maybe recordings of the past so the character is still gone but they can test the waters if they want to try and bring him back from time travel or "yeah he survived somehow". I think silver will come to the present time in sonic 5 because he changed his theory on what needed to change and that sonic is to blame. I think gun is going make omega and all the other robots like gamma. I think metal sonic kind of takes the place of the prophecy hieroglyph that lead to biolizard and shadow in the game. Basically robotnik made metal sonic with the idea that sonic is the ultimate being because robotnik could never beat him so metal sonic takes it as trying to prove they're better than sonic because robot and makes lesser mecha sonics to help because sonic has friends. Metal sonic needs friends as well or at least help. And obviously the reason it's not shadow is robotnik didn't know shadow existed during the programming. The one issue is when he'd be able to do it. Because he had the quill on the eclipse cannon because that's how they knew super sonic was getting close. Maybe it somehow dropped and stone found it. It's why I think the main metal sonic is from the future thinking like a terminator
I'm hoping for CD and Heroes to be mixed together in Sonic 4. Have Sonic somehow go "too fast" and pull a Barry Allen and time travel, trying to stop Metal, who can do that naturally because whatever. He goes Metal Overlord and it takes all of them to stop him, including Shadow and Rouge, Sonic Heroes style. Then because of all of their Time Travelling, Silver is introduced with Blaze at the end, foreshadowing 06 story.
There was a discussion on Reddit. One with fans of CD are understandably angry with how Silver fans are using their game as a vehicle to just bring him back. Also, how they feel that it's stealing all of the spotlight, attention, and focus from Amy and Metal Sonic. No one is actually engaging with the story of CD (or the Rush Games and Heroes) and is just focusing on '06. The game is universally hated and looekd down on. Not here to shit on Silver, '06 being universally hated is just a fact. It is not a fun game to bring up when compared to the success of the films or CD and Rush or Heroes. It's kind of an insult. Listening to their gripes, I genuinely don't think that this is right. The end credit scene was for Amy and Metal Sonic. Not for a character who barely many people know about. For those who will say "having Silver in the films will introduce people to him," all I have to say is this. A Sonic character from the games shouldn't have to have a movie or TV show to make people enjoy them. That should happen within the games. And, if the games aren't doing that, then oh well. The Sonic Franchise is doing better than a Disney franchise right now. They've been releasing exceptionally successful games for the past three years. All without this one character who's been thriving in the comics. Getting Silver in the films is like getting Tangle in the films.
As I said in the video I think the story will put Metal Sonic and Amy as the primary focus with Silver playing a much smaller role. He will not steal their spotlight
I have a theory that the next movie's post credit scene will have Blaze the Cat, and Jim Carrey coming back as Dr. Eggman Nega (that way they can bring back Jim Carey without ruining Robotnik's resolution in movie 3). This is unlikely though, because Paramount doesn't have the IP for Sonic Rush. On the other hand, they did recently get the additional IPs for Shadow the Hedgehog 2005. So anything's possible.
I don't know if Jim would agree to it, he's VERY picky/set on his ways of his characters and eggman nega is almost an exact copy of eggman but way more downright evil which wouldn't fit the kid friendly thing they're going for

I don't think it was ever implied Sonic is the last hedgehog, in Sonic 1, he says he was born with supernatural speed powers, nothing about his biological parents tho, probably they gave Sonic away because of his power as a baby.. but I do believe that Amy and the rest could be from the future, but not really earth's future but rather Sonic's world future, as in Sonic's orgin planet

Paramount isn’t going to interpret Movie Amy as a Sonic fangirl. I don’t know how you or anyone would think the writers would demean Movie Amy’s character like that, especially as Writer Josh Miller described Movie Amy as “the big female character of the franchise.”

I think it’s fair to say that we’ve all watched the best of the trilogy in Sonic The Hedgehog 3. Possible but sadly unlikely. Going off of the Knuckles Show, any spinoff they make will likely be a "stand on it's own expansion" that you don't need to watch to understand the movies when watching them in linear order. If we get a Shadow spinoff, it will likely take place after movie 4 (Because movie 4 is going to take place right after movie 3.)

The producers of the movies said that the reason Amy wasn't in Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 was because they didn't want to do her dirty and relegate her to a side character. If Silver was in Sonic 4, Amy would definitely be sidelined. At most, Silver should be the post credit scene for Sonic 4. So he is the next main character in Sonic 5.

I agree, but we're more likely to get Silver than Rouge based on word going around. Though I do feel Rouge should come first. I hope at least that Shadow is given a reason why he's a hedgehog or looks like Sonic (feels weird that they drew attention to Shadow and Sonic looking alike when that wasn't a plot point like in SA2). Because he seems to have been made as is by the Black Arms, but none of them are fuzzies. So it'll be weird if they don't give a reason why Shadow is but none of them are (or maybe they'll just redesign the foot soldiers to be a bit more Shadow-like).

I believe Sonic 4 is going to be a combination of Sonic CD and Heroes. Metal Sonic and Amy come from the future as a more advanced Metal Sonic is built by Eggman Nega. Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy team up to beat a more advanced metal sonic (Neo Metal Sonic). In the mid credits, Silver and Blaze enter the present from the future as kinda like time keepers because the timeline has been disturbed. During the fight with Metal Sonic, Chaos 0 is released into the world by the end credit scene. Sonic 5 would be like a combination of Sonic Adventure and Sonic 06.
Shadow TV show: Will reveal him being created by Black Doom and introduce Rouge the Bat as a GUN agent with E123 Omega as a GUN robot. Because Rouge and Omega help Shadow fight against Black Doom, they are terminated from GUN and form Team Dark.
This sounds really good but one thing is that mephiles should be included with silver and blaze. Although now thinking about it mephiles could be a thanos type that comes afterwards where everyone has to team up

Y'know, when I was in the cinema and saw Amy in the post credits- I immediately thought that its gonna be a situation where Sonic knew Amy back on longclaw's planet or green hills or whatever you wanna call it. And since Amy's classic and Modern designs look so different, maybe thats why Sonic doesn't recognise her, but she recognises Sonic. This would be an easy and smart way of introducing Amy and Sonic's dynamic to the Movies franchise, it would also make sense as Sonic CD came out before Sonic 2 and 3, which could be used as foreshadowing for Sonic already knowing Amy before he knew Tails and knuckles. Additionally, I believe that Amy could've found some rings in longclaw's house while checking up on sonic since be then Sonic was gone- Just a little fun theory, your theory, however, is so fun, its out there like how Sonic as a franchise is and it actually makes a lot of sense.
Side note, one of the Metal Sonics in the post credits was blue while the rest were like a grey or dull yellow, thats why Amy's hammer destroyed them all but Sonic's punch only turned the blue one's head- potentially, the blue one actually fled as I didnt see Amy deatroy him, maybe he was getting bio data? Maybe we'll see Neo Metal sonic or Metal Overlord?
I definitely like this idea. After all, Knuckles is from a planet full of echidnas, Tails is implied to be from a planet full of foxes since movie 2 adapts his bullying backstory, Long Claw is from a planet of owls originally, so it only makes sense that Sonic's planet has a bunch of hedgehogs. The only issue is that Sonic claims that his access to chaos energy is unique, so having a friend with that same access would be impossible. Maybe Amy learned how to use chaos energy later?

Sure, it's possible both of them were wrong, but it's unlikely, and audiences wouldn't be happy with the change. Generally, it's better to establish new information, rather than contradicting the old. In that case, Amy simply unlocking chaos energy after knowing Sonic would patch things up better. Or she could not have chaos energy. Which would make sense since there's not a pink emerald, and so far all chaos energy has matched an emerald color. Though, I'm pretty sure Amy uses chaos energy in her scene.

I keep thinking we are building up to a ‘06 story given we have time travel and Iblis from the Knuckles show. I want Mephilis to be the villain in that movie, but I also want to see Chaos at some point.

I think Metal Sonic would be revealed to not be the reason for the state of the future, but rather was the remnant that survived the Iblis outbreak.

@@jalengaskin8450 No. I think it would be caused by Knuckles dying and Sonic being knocked out or stoping Metal Sonic in the bad timeline. And Metal Sonic plans to prevent that future that by trapping Knuckles into a seto-eternal prison and becoming strong enough to overcome Iblis when he awakens.
Which then would lead to a final battle in which Sonic and Metal Sonic will fight in the bad future, when Iblis is at his strongest state.
A very tense countdown kind of finale.

Mainly because Metal Sonic is likely the character that allowed Silver to be the way he is in the future. Being very close to Sonic and Shadow, but also advanced enough to give Silver his glowing boots, gloves, and maybe give him a name based on Silver Sonic.

I think silver and blaze will appear in a end-credit cause they can' t do enemy to friend 4 consecutives time but is too soon to have silver in film as an allay, i also espect before the next sonic film a shadow show or film to introduce team dark somehow(with maibe agent stone integrated to the squad too), perhaps a season 2 of knuckels to introduce the chaotix. Time travel, amy and neo metal are certain to me. It would be also cool if silver is guiding a resistance in the future, and he sends amy to the past but we don' t know that he is the leader (or just a member )until the post-credit.

Yeah I’m like I was saying I think I’m all likelihood Team Dark could be pushed back to a 5th film and/ or their own Shadow movie, but I just wanted to throw the possibility out there and cover all bases. I also think Silver will barely be in the fourth movie. The main plotline I feel will be the Metal Sonic/ Terminator style story and whoever who can fit naturally will fit.
I think the ideas are too disorganized for a Sonic movie.

Antagonists: Robotnik, Stone, and Gun.
Sonic 2 had Sonic, Tails, Tom, and Maddie, Antagonists: Gun on their own.
Team Stone, Eggman, and Knuckles.
Sonic 3 had Team Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles.
Antagonists: Gun on their own.
Team Eggman, Gerald, and Shadow.
Sonic 4 has Sonic, Amy, Tails, and Knuckles
Antagonist revealed: Metal Sonic, who sought to bring down Sonic.
Which makes me think Metal Sonic isn’t working alone, but will have Blaze and Silver on his side to do the same job. We know that Sonic 06 and CD both involved a powerful Eggman robot surviving a bad future it didn’t cause.
It makes me think that the Metal Sonic robots we see were produced by Metal Sonic himself for a purpose of destroying Iblis monsters. To make surviving that horrible environment easier.
My prediction for Sonic 4 was that it would be based off of Sonic CD but instead of Amy being the damsel is distress it would be Cream the Rabbit.
Sonic 4 Pitch:
The Metal Sonic army are an intergalactic threat and have already taken over multiple planets.
The beginning of the movie is told from Amy's perspective where we see her in Mobius with Cream and Vanilla living happily, until one day an army of Metal's begin their invasion where in the process they kidnap Cream.
Amy then goes from planet to planet following the trails left behind by the Metal Army until she comes across Earth which leads to the Sonic 3 End Credits scene.
The movie will be heavily focused on both Amy and the mystery of the Metal Army so most of the film will be the duos of Sonic and Amy searching for Cream and developing a semi-romantic bond whilst Tails and Knuckles will be on the side looking for clues as to who created the Metal Sonic's.
By the end of the film Cream is rescued and the Metal Sonic Army are seemingly defeated and it's revealed that Metal Sonic was originally created by Dr Eggman as a fail-safe in the event of his death.
Sonic, Amy, Knuckles and Cream are having a party with Tom and Maddie celebrating their victory but Tails is nowhere to be found.
Sonic notices his best friend missing and rushes off to find him. Sonic finds Tails alone and asks what's wrong Tails tells him that he feels like something's off, when him and Knuckles found the blueprints and data from Eggman's base about Metal Sonic it appeared as though he only made one Metal Sonic, so who made the other's? Sonic tells him not to worry so much and that if the Metal's show up again then they'll just beat them again together. Tails laughs and then the two then rush back to the party and the movie ends.
End Credits Scene:
The scene starts in the area where the final battle of the movie occurred by hearing Metal clanking and sparks flying. The camera slowly pans around the area where we see a bunch of destroyed Metal Sonic's on the floor, the camera keeps panning across untill we see only one Metal Sonic who is using the parts of his fallen comrades to upgrade himself to become Neo Metal Sonic.
Sonic 4 - Metal Sonic's
Sonic 5 - Neo Metal Sonic/Super Neo Metal Sonic
Sonic 6 - Metal Overlord or a potential Super Metal Overlord👀

Great video. This is basically where my thought train is for the future of the Sonic Movie Universe. Movie 4 is 100% a loose adaption of CD, with a few elements from other games and media.
I honestly think Silver would be a great minor antagonist the more I think about it. As I feel like doing time travel as a main focus in one movie, and another later would feel redundant. Just introduce Silver as a foil to Amy. Amy believes in Sonic as a savior to the future, while Silver is pessimistic at first and wants to end him. With characters like Blaze, Cream, and Big making cameos as a part of the future resistance. I especially agree with how Amy should stay similar in characterization to game Amy. As I would honestly hate it if they do a full role reversal and make Sonic the simp lol. I know they've already changed so much with him, but that'd border on character assassination at that point imo.
With everyone else... I honestly think Movie 4 doesn't need Team Chaotix, Team Dark, or Eggman either. As those are characters that could be built up in side projects. Team Dark in whatever Shadow does. And man, I really want a 2nd Knuckles project that ACTUALLY focuses on Knuckles, and then casually introduces the Chaotix there.
From there. Yeah, we need Chaos by that point. He'd be great for Movie 5. As I could see him as the villain who causes the most Earth destruction. (Unless they bring in Dark Gaia... hoooo boi lol) And maybe that's a final straw of making Sonic & Co slowly realize they can't stay on Earth. And its a conflict for Movie 6.
But for the villain there, they should just bite the bullet and do Mephilis. Which I know he's messy, and 06... ofc. But they've basically set him up with the Flames of Disaster. Could see him being this Thanos type villain who comes over tearing everything up looking for Knuckles. And the plot is everyone protecting him. End the 2nd trilogy with Sonic & Co finally living off Earth, but leaving it open ended for mayyybe coming back for more sequels and stuff. (Even though if you ask me... they hit the limit there. Fewer people are gonna care for them adapting anything past the 2000s games. I'm sorry lel)
That's a really well thought out theory, and I definitely agree that a CD adaptation for Sonic 4 would be awesome!
You know, I feel like Shadow would team up with Sonic and Amy will most likely join the group so they all could defeat Metal Sonic and Silver will make an appearance with Blaze in the middle of the movie respectively.
I would love to see Silver and Amy time traveling to combat Metal Sonic.

When watching the Knuckles Paramount series I was confused why they were allowed to mention Iblis and the flames of disaster. But if the live action movies are going to avoid Sonic 06' it starts making much more sense.
One idea I've had based off what I've seen others saying, what if Ivo does survive, has a family, and some point in the future a descendant of Ivo (The movie's version of Eggman Nega), finds out about Ivo's past with Sonic and friends, forms some sort of hatred for the hedgehog, then forms a plan which involves sending metal Sonics back in time, either he created or he discovered the blueprints for metal Sonic that Ivo never got around to finishing. So Silver sends Amy back in time, which is why she appears at the end of the 3rd Sonic movie.
To touch on an early comment about it being "concerning" that Metal Sonic got beat already, a theory I have is that they are going to roll Metal Sonic and all the versions of Mecha Sonic, and possibly Neo Metal Sonic and Super Mecha Sonic into one villain. I think that Metal Sonic will be like a "stalker" enemy in Resident Evil, an invincible enemy that constantly chases you, but I think Metal Sonic will constantly escalate, becoming more and more of a mechanized monster as the film progresses.

I feel like Amy is probably not "from the Future", but the version we see at the end is, and she delivers a warning to Sonic before leaving and tells her to find her. We then get to meet a slightly more Old School Amy Rose and watch her develop into the resistance fighter. There's definitely going to be some timey wimey weirdness - they've said each Sonic movie is a different one, Movie 4 is definitely going to be a more hard on time travel/general sci-fi movie, it'll definitely use elements of Terminator, Age of Ultron(with the drones controlled by a prime Metal), and will use some of the backbone of Heroes(I've been saying they'll combine them too - it only makes sense since both games are a little light on Story, combine them and you get THE Metal Sonic movie)
In that case it would be weird NOT to have SIlver, but I feel like he'd be a more minor character, being used elsewhere for a more 06 centric plot with much lighter time travel elements.
Also agree that they have a good setup with a villainess GUN - reminds me of GHOST from Transformers Earthspark, a military organisation starting as allies but going down the dark path most US Military influenced organisations do - Rockwell definitely feels like their Amanda Waller.

But I think the next trilogy/saga for the sonic movies is looking for the Chaos Emeralds since Shadow got blown tf up while using them. He might've survived but he could've lost all of them and now they're spread out.
Maybe Shadow finds the green chaos emerald offscreen so when he returns he has his chaos control ability, and in the actual movies Sonic, Tails and Knuckles just seek out the rest of the emeralds to keep their oath while defeating more enemies

10:25 I feel like there's enough content between both Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog to make another tv series out of for Shadow, especially if they're going to be introducing time travel into the francize. I really hope that the movie takes a slightly different approach to team dark and has Shadow team up with Rogue and Emerl. It would be very Vision/Ultron esque to have Emerl fight against Metal and Shadow is the perfect character to help Emerl on his journey of decided what it means to be alive.
Silver can be a young innocent good guy in 4 regarding the Metal Sonic plot, but then he returns in Sonic 6, being hardened by everything, and tries to kill Dutchess Elise of Italy because she will cause the apocalypse of fire.

This is some solid concept that I thought about when I saw the post credits opening night, and I have my thoughts noted a while ago on Twitter from 12/21/24
So, thinking about post-credits gives us Sonic CD characters and potentially a Heroes story, I can see a time travel arc in 4 where Stone fulfills Eggman’s wish to destroy Sonic, creating Metal, but he ends up creating a Metal Army uprising in the future.
Basically it’s a Terminator plot, Amy comes from the future to prevent the Metal Machine uprising, Amy admires that Sonic was the hero who protected earth in the past and wants his help, she starts seeing him becoming the person she loves in the present, Tom gives him the Talk.
Also, if we have a time travel plot, you absolutely need a Silver and Blaze cameo, so maybe Amy served Princess Blaze, the metal uprising reaches her people, she orders Silver to send Amy to the past to prevent it, but she needs to meet up with a contact, some like Rouge as guide
[Addendum: Going of your purposed concept, if GUN really is the catalyst, I think Stone will be their key to repurposing the tech since, he was last scene using Eggman’s crab, egg drones, and exploiting his expertise. GUN might even be more shady with Christian Ritter’s character and forcing Stone to help create Metal, turning him into a tragic figure. I think if Jim Carrey isn’t returning or is limiting his cameo, it HAS to be in the context of carrying out the through line of the previous movies (and be real, no one can match his star power performance as an antagonist) so the fallout needs to come by those actions]
Metal Sonic’s entire thing isn’t about being the terminator. It’s about him being the real Sonic. He’s more more an insane dude that does a bit of Sonic and Eggman things.

I think the movies have been plating the seeds for a greater conflict between Team Sonic and GUN.
The fate of the GUN Commander was left open in Sonic 3, so in the meantime that woman could have taken over GUN began researching means to protect the world from the aliens.
But my theory for Sonic 4 that Eggman built the Metal Sonics himself. Here me on this:
Eggman is remains dead, but there comes another Eggman from a different universe (sort of Eggman Nega). This Eggman comes from a universe where he successfully caught Sonic in the first movie and used his powers to power his machines, with Meta Sonic being his magum opus.
Using the bag of rings and the map from the first movei this Eggman invaded other worlds to conquer them for himself. This version of Eggman is a lot closer to the first movie, not going bald, less crazy more evil, and still is backed by the US army.
I don't believe Amy is from the future (or at least a far future), but a destroyed or occupied version of Sonics home planet. I feel you're close to guessing the plot, closer than most Sonic fans guessing Mephilis

In Sonic 3, we saw Sonic's quill turn gold when he went Super even though it was separated from him. So if the Metal Sonics are powered by quills, would they go super when Sonic does?
My theory is that Eggman from another future or timeline built Metal and at some point Metal manages to turn off his A.I inhibitors and either kills of imprisons Eggman, depending on if Jim Carrey comes back. I don't like the idea of G.U.N building Metal but i can see how it would work, since Eggman would be smart enough to not give his machines A.I but while G.U.N is smart enough to build Metal Sonic, their not smart enough to stop Metal from going haywire.
I’m going to throw my hat into the ring say we may end up getting the Wisps from Sonic Colours.
Colours compliments CD quite nicely as they both have Eggman chaining a planet for his own gain and conquest.
when i saw them i was imediatly like " yep, we got sonic 06 on the big screen next". My reasoning was a theory about how metal is just sonic that failed to stop eggman and got roboticied . that and and i saw metal entering terminator style .

Why? Amy kind of sucks. When you have a character who gets as much screen time as Amy yet is still a 'blank slate' after 30 years, you have a bad character. If Amy ends up being the point character of Sonic 4, Sonic 4 is going to sell less than half as much as Sonic 3.

The 4th movie I believe we'll return to sonics dimension, every movie it's been brought up even the 3rd where we went back to sonics cave and saw his picture of green hill. And I think maybe his world has been taken over by someone with 100s of metals.
Also this might be a odd thing but I want the chaotix to return as possible humans, a trio of humans with code names as the 3 chaotix and they'll just be doing detective work in the background on the villain to join and help sonic in the end , also they'd be a main comedy aspect. Because I feel they aren't popular enough to get actual model's and the humans in the movie are so forgettable I feel this could be a really good idea

AND the fact that shadow will have his own movie and chaotic with their own series (which they appeared in a comic already btw )
and the fact that rouge will probably be introduced in one of or both of them
meaning everyone will be on sonic 4.. but what about big and cream you ask? well they will be introduced with amy in sonic 4 so sonic heroes is perfectly set up
AND sonic heroes will be having a game release most likely 2025 sometime and that will tie in and get more sales especially when sonic 4 is released 2 years later

I really think a Sonic Heroes should be a later story when all the teams are developed, Metal Sonic should be a villain in both movies. Maybe at the end of 4 we think Sonic dies. Chaos needs to be the Thanos level threat.

I think the name you are looking for for a higher up Metal Sonic is Neo Metal Sonic and his evolution after copying all of the life data of all the characters is Metal Overlord. All your theories could be correct, I think the good team is going to lose like you said and the big bad of Sonic 5 or 6 will be Metal Overlord with Eggman returning at some point to help like he does in Sonic Heroes to some copasity. Instead of having all of the teams from Heroes, it'll just be a few characters but still get the point across that team work is now the main point of these next films. Sonic 3 was about Sonic learning to become the leader of his own team, and now he will have to learn to work with other different teams, or at least be able to influence them so they can lookup to him and be the hero he is meant to become in their eyes. As you implied, this could have some things from Sonic CD, Heroes, but as well as 06 as this could be the dystopia where everything is destroyed, just replacing Ibilis with Neo Metal Sonic.
And you did say that you don't think the Chaotix will appear, but the director did state that he wants to make a show about them (also not to mention the fact that they do exist but in the comic tie in for the Sonic 2 / Knuckles show).
I think jim carry comes back but in flashbacks and maybe recordings of the past so the character is still gone but they can test the waters if they want to try and bring him back from time travel or "yeah he survived somehow". I think silver will come to the present time in sonic 5 because he changed his theory on what needed to change and that sonic is to blame. I think gun is going make omega and all the other robots like gamma. I think metal sonic kind of takes the place of the prophecy hieroglyph that lead to biolizard and shadow in the game. Basically robotnik made metal sonic with the idea that sonic is the ultimate being because robotnik could never beat him so metal sonic takes it as trying to prove they're better than sonic because robot and makes lesser mecha sonics to help because sonic has friends. Metal sonic needs friends as well or at least help. And obviously the reason it's not shadow is robotnik didn't know shadow existed during the programming. The one issue is when he'd be able to do it. Because he had the quill on the eclipse cannon because that's how they knew super sonic was getting close. Maybe it somehow dropped and stone found it. It's why I think the main metal sonic is from the future thinking like a terminator

I'm hoping for CD and Heroes to be mixed together in Sonic 4. Have Sonic somehow go "too fast" and pull a Barry Allen and time travel, trying to stop Metal, who can do that naturally because whatever. He goes Metal Overlord and it takes all of them to stop him, including Shadow and Rouge, Sonic Heroes style. Then because of all of their Time Travelling, Silver is introduced with Blaze at the end, foreshadowing 06 story.
I think it will be a mix of CD, Heroes, and Silver 06.
There was a discussion on Reddit. One with fans of CD are understandably angry with how Silver fans are using their game as a vehicle to just bring him back. Also, how they feel that it's stealing all of the spotlight, attention, and focus from Amy and Metal Sonic. No one is actually engaging with the story of CD (or the Rush Games and Heroes) and is just focusing on '06. The game is universally hated and looekd down on. Not here to shit on Silver, '06 being universally hated is just a fact. It is not a fun game to bring up when compared to the success of the films or CD and Rush or Heroes. It's kind of an insult. Listening to their gripes, I genuinely don't think that this is right. The end credit scene was for Amy and Metal Sonic. Not for a character who barely many people know about. For those who will say "having Silver in the films will introduce people to him," all I have to say is this. A Sonic character from the games shouldn't have to have a movie or TV show to make people enjoy them. That should happen within the games. And, if the games aren't doing that, then oh well. The Sonic Franchise is doing better than a Disney franchise right now. They've been releasing exceptionally successful games for the past three years. All without this one character who's been thriving in the comics. Getting Silver in the films is like getting Tangle in the films.
As I said in the video I think the story will put Metal Sonic and Amy as the primary focus with Silver playing a much smaller role. He will not steal their spotlight
I have a theory that the next movie's post credit scene will have Blaze the Cat, and Jim Carrey coming back as Dr. Eggman Nega (that way they can bring back Jim Carey without ruining Robotnik's resolution in movie 3). This is unlikely though, because Paramount doesn't have the IP for Sonic Rush. On the other hand, they did recently get the additional IPs for Shadow the Hedgehog 2005. So anything's possible.
I don't know if Jim would agree to it, he's VERY picky/set on his ways of his characters and eggman nega is almost an exact copy of eggman but way more downright evil which wouldn't fit the kid friendly thing they're going for

I don't think it was ever implied Sonic is the last hedgehog, in Sonic 1, he says he was born with supernatural speed powers, nothing about his biological parents tho, probably they gave Sonic away because of his power as a baby.. but I do believe that Amy and the rest could be from the future, but not really earth's future but rather Sonic's world future, as in Sonic's orgin planet

I’m expecting Metal Sonic for Sonic 4 as well as maybe Silver, maybe Cream, Luna Girl, Metal Knuckles, Rogue The Bat, Big The Cat, Dark Enerjak, Super Sonic, Scourge The Hedgehog, perhaps Solaris as well.
