A year and a half and probably 30 pistols later... and this is still my EDC. The Shadow Systems MR920 Foundation Series pistol is the perfect mix of affordability and features.
Can't make up my mind between MR920 and XMacro. I have large hands and the P365XL is not the best fit, and even though I EDC it, I am still not 100% happy with it. Your videos help a lot though. Thanks.
Personally, I am going with the elite DR 920. Something for concealed carriers to think about is, if you plan on upgrading the weapon, try to get all of the upgrades you would want out of the factory. Should you ever need to use it, an overzealous prosecutor would not be able to say that you modify the weapon in any way.
Did you look at the xr920? Coming from a glock 23 love the slide length but wanting a little more ammo in the mag. Do you think the xr920 would be a suitable cc?
Honestly wouldn’t use it as a edc I have a cr920 war poet and mr920 they run super clean and flat but honestly just don’t trust them even though I never had a issue with them , great product but they could’ve perfectly executed it just feel like it isn’t just right
Very confused by this. Their design or action is a copy of the most proven striker design out there. I wouldn’t be concerned one but if I were you. All of my SS pistols have been reliable and I carry the MR920 or CR920 daily.
Right, aware of what you stated. A lot of folks get hung up on the design of them and that’s why they don’t carry or trust them. What if your reason is behind you not trusting them if you don’t mind me asking?
@@HuntFishShootChannelI’ve had my mag catch fail, as in it was so wore down from use I got it used and had 1500 rounds in plus I was using glock mags not pmags as recommended replaced it with a vickers tactical gen 4 and another 900 rounds through it no issues I trust it with my life issues arise with any gun after strenuous use
This is a gun a don’t quite understand. For $300 more you can get an Elite. It’s worth the extra $300. If one is so cash strapped that one can’t afford that, the shooting sports probably aren’t for said person.
Well this pistol is not necessarily geared towards shooting sports. There are likely better options. In addition these models don’t shoot or feel any different. Just different styling and better sights on the elite or combat models. That $300 dollars you speak of could be used on lights, optics, holsters or ammo, or even better yet, training.
@@HuntFishShootChannel I believe the elite is more geared to being a comp gun if wanted. Magwell, threaded barrel with all the options the standard comes with. I have the elite but thinking of switching to a standard flush barrel, any thoughts or recommendations?
The foundation series is a fantastic option as well. The elites are nice but it’s really hard to beat the foundation if you don’t need night sights or the Magwell. They have just enough serrations, same trigger but polymer and same grip. No Magwell. But you save the money for light and optics.

I wouldn’t be too concerned with your thought process, but if you haven’t shot a Elite model Vs. Foundation series, they are identical.

Yes you can conceal it, it’s a full size grip though so it’s going to be larger than your 23. I personally carry the MR920 and love it.
