@@jasonlee6180 it does the job when it comes to moisturising dry skin and gives you that bougie self care moment but its incredibly overpriced! If you choose to use it, sunscreen goes last and not mixed in.
I’m a new fan of yours, Dr. Joyce. You exude kindness and I super appreciate that. Thank you for your content. ♥️ I also just watched your IFV journey and I am so happy for you! Sincerely happy. As a mom of two boys who went through several miscarriages in between, I know the feeling of hopelessness. Thank you for being very honest. I’m very sure it gave hope to someone out there who is going through a similar situation. ♥️
Great video Dr.Joyce!!! Your knowledge and insight on each product - just so enriching and insightful on what I would put on my own face after watching a video like Ariana's - thank you for the video!
Besides the fact that she mixed the moisturizer with sunscreen for me, the most important part is the amount that she used. She rubs it mostly in her hands and almost nothing on the face 😢. Just reminded me Gwyneth Paltrow Sunscreen applications
I know a dermatologist would never say this publicly. The La Mer moisturizer’s price is a scam. There are plenty of inexpensive moisturizers with great ingredients like ceramides, peptides, antioxidants, niacinamide, etc. If someone can afford La Mer moisturizer they can afford dermatologist office procedures that will do more for the appearance of skin than a moisturizer. Why stop Botox entirely? She could have had fewer units injected. Finally, she says she sometimes has acne but doesn’t say that she uses tretinoin. I’m not a fan of facialists because they rarely know the science of skincare.
I wasn’t sure if she skipped tretinoin bc this is her morning skincare and makeup routine, but yes a retinoid or retinol is a key ingredient for acne and preventing fine lines and treating dark spots. I shared that I would not personally spend the $ on expensive brands where the science is unclear to me, but I don’t judge those who choose to do that. About the botox - I’m not sure! Everyone has his or her own preference when it comes to procedures
@@TeawithMDyeah I tried numerous amount of eyecreams that are either cheap or expensive.. doesn't really make difference.. but the zo skin intense cream it's thick and dab with little water in my finger.. pat it in under eye and around.. let it Settle then boom lts fully brighten up around the eyes.. you need try it!!
Thank you for this fantastic video! I am new to your channel and I really appreciate your evidence based approach. I would welcome a video regarding advice on navigating extremely sensitive skin/ rosacea in terms of clean beauty skincare and mineral sunscreens. Many of the products that are recommended for sensitive/rosacea skin are too irritating for me. There are so many to choose from but many contain PEGs or other questionable ingredients which I choose to avoid. Thank you for your consideration... be well.
Hello! Thanks for watching. I struggle with rosacea and sensitive skin myself, and it flared horribly when I went to Singapore (the humidity!) this summer. I made a video on rosacea a few weeks ago about products that really helped my rosacea. I also made a longer video in the winter about rosacea in general and treatment recs, please check it out!
Thank you! I am so grateful for your response! I will definitely check out the videos you have described. If there is a way to help you as well, I would tell you that I am using the Tata Harper Superkind skincare line which is designed for reactive skin. The products are luxurious and super "clean." They are well tolerated and I am noticing that the appearance of my skin has definitely improved. This is not a budget line, but I have no choice at the moment. In terms of a sunscreen for sensitive skin, the only product I can tolerate on my face current;y is Badger SPF 40. With only 4 ingredients, it's a home run for me... it's shiny and doesn't seem to work well under makeup, but at least I can leave the house during the day! Be well & thanks again for your help!
Love your videos! Please don't listen to negative comments. There are many more people that appreciate your work. Would it be possible to mention using vitamin C or alternatives to boost collagen instead of using retinoids at night? Thank you Dr. Park! ❤
Hello and thank you for the kind words! For boosting collagen, retinol or retinoid really is the gold standard. Other ingredients that may help include vitamin C like you mentioned, bakuchiol which is an alternative to retinol or retinoid for those with more sensitive skin, and also importantly, sunscreen use to prevent breakdown of collagen from UV exposure!
I enjoy your content. Honest, simple, easy to understand 😊
Thank you!
I audibly gasped when Ariana mixed her sunscreen into La Mer lol
🤣 SAME
Is la mer good?

I face palmed when she mixed her sunscreen with moisturizer 🥲
I get it - she’s a busy woman and she’s trying to save time! But unfortunately that dilutes the spf 😄

I remember that sunscreen as a highlighter fiasco! I do wish Ariana used more sunscreen - two to three finger lengths is recommended for face and neck

@tj220 , thanks, I want to try it😊
Are there alternatives to retinol to put around the eye for people with chronic dry eye?
Hello! Bakuchiol is an alternative to retinol, and if you want to treat wrinkles you can look for peptide creams. For dark spots, vitamin C!
@@TeawithMD thank you!
Love you so much after this video!! Could you perhaps give some alternatives to the expensive products such as the serum and moisturizer?
Thanks for watching! Yup all my product recs are linked in my shop my in the caption!
I always buy moisturizer that have sun screen in it, so I don’t have to mix anything.
