Life has changed so much! When I was in art school 1985-1992 I would draw every day. I did about 4-6 hours of formal drawing classes a week and loved it.
Oh boi, I really like your sketches and ceramics in this video. I hope that as soon as I'm finished with school i can start practicing again to get to the level you are on💚 Also your words at 6:30? Why do these always hit me so hard :') Thank you though - can't say it enough but these video really make my week 🌿
I just have to say... I love your authenticity! Just expressing random thoughts about anything and sharing❤ Please don't lose that as your channel grows✨ Your personality is why I watch your videos, not just because of the calming aesthetic to your videos or how you edit and share your beautiful artwork 🌺( I love both btw)😊
This was such a refreshing video to watch! Your rawness and authenticity is what I love most! I love your ambition to create and to better yourself and your craft. Also, the random comments that happen every one once in a while make it all be worth it. Have a lovely day ❤
Well said, she is an inspiration to any upcoming student or illustrator , it shows the real person behind the scenes thru her struggles and triumphs of life as an artist.
I always watch your videos after my workouts for streching and relaxation and i absolutely love it. I can relax so amazing, because you have such a calm and cozy athmosphere in your videos, I also love your art, so thank you sooo mucchhhh
Those hand-built ceramic bags are really something! When you're in a highly productive phase, moving from one work of art to the next, it's easy to forget every individual piece. It's kind of an odd feeling after you've set something aside when, just for a moment, you can look at your own art with fresh eyes. We can see why you were so happy with those nice oil pastels- they're satisfying in the way paint can be, with the immediacy of drawing!
I'm in love with your art style. It's so unique. I would do anything to go to an exhibition surrounded by your art- honestly. I can imagine how wonderful it would all look together in one space. Like the way you use colour and the way you set up the setting and environment in your pieces is so cozy and nostalgic. You really tell a story through your work and I'm sure that in an exhibition, where all these stories and nostalgia is put in one space- there will be magic
You have the kindest and warmest eyes! I found your channel a few months ago and I really love your content, it became a safe place. I'm going to take an art career and you are inspiring. Thanks for creating such beautiful art. ⭐
Big ❤️❤️❤️ to working through the drain of period pain. Today is day 2 for me. I should be in rehearsal for a storytelling gig on the 17th but RUclips has been the vibe today. Also, those work glasses…😘
hi! I would really recommend you One day at year by Christa Wolf, Family sayings by Natalia Ginzburg, German autumn by Stig Dagerman, The Clown by Heinrich Böll, The Diaries by Etty Hillesum and Hannah and the others by Nadia Fusini, these are some of my favorite books :))
If you find a Tkmaxx near you, it’s worth checking their art and crafts section because they have a lot of good art materials for 60% less than RRP…big brand names and everything..maybe a bit later once they filled up after the Christmas rush.. mine is still pretty empty atm but you can save some serious cash for sure! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
You are amazing!!! I love your videos so much! You draw incredible, and your illustrations inspired me to be creative! And I’m also extremely curious at which university do you study (or which universities you have tried) thank you so much for your efforts that you put into making the videos, you are the best
Aw I'm so in love with your vlogs..love to watch the things i may do in the future..still a high school students who is busy with a lot of stuffs but your vlogs are calming and stress reliever for me .Thank you
thank you sunny your videos are the most relaxing thing and I adore your art style you inspire me so much and I can't wait to go to art school🤍🤍 thank you again books: all the light we cannot see, the song of achilles, a thousand splendid suns, and the book thief
You asked for book recommendations and I’m not sure I read the kind of books you are interested in. I almost only read fiction (science fiction and fantasy), but here are a couple recommendations just in case. Fantasy: Brandon Sanderson is writing a lot of different fantasy books that are set on different planets in the same universe. They aren’t directly connected, but as more and more books come out, we learn more and more about the shared universe. I’d recommend Mistborn. Science Fiction: The Expance! It’s so good imo! It’s like a 9 book series and it’s so well told and described. It’s just realistic enough to be believable, even with the very unbelievable things in it. I have read one non fiction book and it was very good, so I’ll recommend that too: So You Want to Talk About Race - by Ijeoma Oluo. It’s about being black in America. It’s a good and insightful book.
Hey! Just came across your channel and i fricking love it! i've been going throught a tough time as an artist, my creativity is totally blocked and i'm never excited to do anything bc i already feel like its going to sucks but your videos are so inspiring!!! i really wanted to be an illustrator i just don't have my own style so kinda of discourages me but im looks foward to try my best and find my own thing!!! you deserve the best
thank you love!! i didn't have a style for my illustrations until over the summer and it's so common for artists to change style over time so don't worry ❤️
Okay, so first of all, Sunny, you are a major inspiration and just a lovely person that matches my vibe so well, and I love how you told us the reasons you draw: to highlight/empower Asian women. And I love that. I currently have found so many Asian artists or artists from other cultures who use their culture as inspiration. I just find it so difficult for me because I love all cultures, yet my culture seems so...subpar, I would say, compared to other people's. My culture also, a lot of times doesn't feel like me because they tend to hate LGBTQIA which makes me sad, and their history isn't very known. But despite that, I'm hoping to find an energy, a personality for my art. Also, I relate, so much, to how you said you're going to start using colors. Hahah I usually use less colors, but I really want to experiment with more colors. But I do have a pretty mediocre low-quality oil pastel set that I love using, and I love using highlighters, and sometimes markers. I feel like I've really grown with my art! You are also one of the artists on RUclips that has inspired me to start a RUclips channel where my art will be one of the focuses among other things. I am hoping to start it this year. Also, I'm so sorry to hear that you experienced period cramps. It sucks, especially when you're not expecting it and aren't used to the side effects. Also, as an avid book reader here are some book recommendations. Most of these I've read: The Cruel Prince, Anna and the French Kiss, Butter Honey Pig Bread, Hell Followed With Us, Children of Blood and Bone, Loveboat Taipei, Lessons in Chemistry, Our Wives Under the Sea, The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida, Speak No Evil, and The Merciful Crow. The ones I haven't read, but I think you'll enjoy them as much as I will are A Man Called Ove, All the Light We Cannot See, Concerning My Daughter, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Shop, Kaikeyi, She Who Became the Sun, The Binding, The Dictionary of Lost Words, The Ghosts We Keep, The Book Eaters, The Book Thief, The Prince of Magic and Lies, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, Welcome to Dorley Hall, Young Mungo, and Babel. Make sure to read the genre, descriptions, and Trigger Warnings, especially, please. And if you need other book recommendations, follow some book RUclipsrs/Tiktokers. Jack Edwards/Jack in the Books (same person, but two channels) and The Book Leo are two of the most popular ones. Have a wonderful rest of your week, and the next week. Also, sorry for the prolix (new word I just learned) comment. I ramble a lot🥰
Bathhouses, saunas, or any similar sort of public place where you remain undressed for a long time definitely have the whole taboo thing about them in "Western" society. When my extended family meets up they enjoy going to the sauna together, but since there is an age restriction in most places like that here, we (me and my cousins) did not experience that. Now that the age restriction no longer affects me, they have invited me to join, but I still feel uncomfortable.
not sure if youve read it yet but the invisible life of addie la rue is my absolute favourite book, as well as aristotle and dante discover the secrets of the universe -- such an easy and beautiful read
Love the ceramic pieces! So talented :) As far as book recs go... "Echo" by Pam Munoz Ryan is excellent! It explores the importance of music in environments of hate and hardship. It has become one of my favs.
here are some of my book rec : - keeper of the lost cities ( i looove this series soooo much but it's a tiny bit long tbh, please stick to the books until the end, there is always a mega enjoyable plot twist that always bloooow me mind seriously) - the mirror visitor ( it's hard to stick to the story in the beginning, but when you do you enjoy every bit of it + beautiful writting ) - scythe (it's more dystopian than fantastic this time, but i love it sm somehow) - i'll give you the sun ( I think the one that is easier to enjoy and the one that you should probably start with first. Don't wanna spoil but it talks about art so amazingly + it made me cry, i loved it overall ) let me know if you want any more recommandation, i would be more than happy to help you out
I would really recommend “Lonely Castle in the mirror” by Mizuki Tsujimuar :) It’s a really easy read but still really beautiful. It’s a book about a girl in middle school who stopped going to school and one day finds a castle in her mirror. Another recommendation is “Last Night at the Telegraph Club” by Malinda Lo. It’s about Chinese immigrants in San Francisco in the 50s. The main character is a lesbian so the story explores both of the identities in a very insightful and quiet beauty way. Hope this helps :) PS. I really love your videos
I have read a book named Addie Larue and it's handsome, i recommend it :) Or in French litteratures (cause i'm french) there is a lot of interesing books like the stranger by camus, or a flat in paris by musso... but Addie Larue it's really really good
I'd like to see the stuff you do in your new sketchbook, especially if it's loose and experimental, but it must be nice to have the "problem" of always drawing stuff that's "tight and refined" as in "finished looking and ready to print". I think your Fish 'N Chips bag might be a good idea for a reusable canvas bag, maybe an actual lunch bag design including the artwork. Of course, the "art" is in the fact that although it looks like a bag, it's not actually a bag, but yours looks so much like a bag, that it seems like it almost OUGHT to be a bag. It's interesting how you missed the piece, and then when you found it, you created more art on it. As a "western" dude, it's kind of tough for me to comment on your spectacularly beautiful bathhouse pic without saying something embarrassing or inappropriate, but...I think it's really cool, especially in that it symbolizes freedom and innocence from your inner child's perspective. It's also yet another example of how your pieces create a kind of harmony which looks effortless.
Hi! I just love your videos and art content! Your project sounds amazing and I'd love to see it soon. Could you tell me what are the star stickers you usually wear on the face? Do they work for little pimples? Thanks a lot! Book rec: la novia gitana by Carmen Mola. Idk the English translation but this saga really keeps you into reading 24/7
@@sunnykabocha mh okayyy. Fantasy books: a court of thorns and roses, blood of eden, shadow of the fox, crescent city, red queen Romance/ya: The royals, the sun is also a star, love from a to z Ya/queer: they both die at the end, red, white & royal blue, romance (from Arnoud Cathrine) These are the books that are in english I think. My all time favorite book that I’ve read is Pattern Recognition by William Gibson. It’s about this woman who is allergic to designer labels. I try to re-read it at least yearly if possible.
The unique experience if a big period poo us not discussed enough amongst women. It can come as a surprise but really, advance warning of this facet of periods would have been helpful as a younger woman. Wonderful to hear these women not feeling shamed into silence about all the surprising aspects of periods.
Hey your observations and anectodes are so brilliant .. also have a look at STEPHANIE H. SHIH ceramics I feel as though they could really add to your conversation and ideas regarding creating a space / environment
If you haven’t read it, you should read “The Paper Daughters of Chinatown”. While the writing isn’t particularly great, the story is important. It is based on history, and I think everyone should know this story.
Canned soup equals cramps. When I was young, I explored feeding my family different diets. When I gave up processed foods, my cramps disappeared. I think the preservatives don't work for women ( I can't speak for all women of course). Fresh foods benefited me, no preservatives, no cramps. I also ate grass Ed beef in later years when it became available (what was added to the cattle feed) and less beef overall. This is my experience. I still avoid preservatives as much as possible. Can't say this applies to you. I know what I found out or myself.
book recs! babel by r.f. kwang no longer human by dazai osamu a little life by hanya yanagihara check trigger warnings ESPECIALLY for a little life, the first one is a nice dark akademia but the others discuss really heavy topics.
🙂 what kind of program is that on your pad? you do that very quickly with the sketching.... is it a secret? yes: america is racist in the big cities..... unfortunately! through and through! the thing with the bathhouses - that used to be here - i got to know it again in japan! It's nice when people don't shy away from each other - and also don't have any reservations, as it is with everything here! i really enjoyed that in an onsen in japan, the free, peaceful water and the frighteningly hot water at first, which somehow later became more bearable! so the water accepted me: it came hot out of the ground! sure, if you're a stranger in a country then- well, yes- everything revolts against you! somehow! also the water! :-)
What would make someone want to live in a city with people that could blame them for anything based on race? If you grew up there I could better understand a reason for you to stay.

These are the books that are in english I think. Also the most are bookseries. You also could watch book vlogs you could like xxxx
My all time favorite book that I’ve read is Pattern Recognition by William Gibson. It’s about this woman who is allergic to designer labels. I try to re-read it at least yearly if possible.
that sounds v interesting 😧
The unique experience if a big period poo us not discussed enough amongst women. It can come as a surprise but really, advance warning of this facet of periods would have been helpful as a younger woman. Wonderful to hear these women not feeling shamed into silence about all the surprising aspects of periods.
so calming video🌸

If you haven’t read it, you should read “The Paper Daughters of Chinatown”. While the writing isn’t particularly great, the story is important. It is based on history, and I think everyone should know this story.
ahhh okay x
Canned soup equals cramps. When I was young, I explored feeding my family different diets. When I gave up processed foods, my cramps disappeared. I think the preservatives don't work for women ( I can't speak for all women of course). Fresh foods benefited me, no preservatives, no cramps. I also ate grass Ed beef in later years when it became available (what was added to the cattle feed) and less beef overall. This is my experience. I still avoid preservatives as much as possible.
Can't say this applies to you. I know what I found out or myself.

what kind of program is that on your pad? you do that very quickly with the sketching....
is it a secret?
yes: america is racist in the big cities..... unfortunately! through and through!
the thing with the bathhouses - that used to be here - i got to know it again in japan!
i use procreate x
What would make someone want to live in a city with people that could blame them for anything based on race? If you grew up there I could better understand a reason for you to stay.
