I can answer part of your question about why I watch this channel, Paddy. It is 45% of where you are and the beauty of those places and what I learn about them and get a chance to see them through your lens. The other 55% is because I trust in you and your honest and charming way in which you give us a chance to join you in your good times and tough times and even in a few bad times. I watch other Thai related and the broader S.E Asia channels and some I enjoy very much and tend to watch as a regular looking forward to each new installment. But your channel is very much like I am sitting and listening to my friend describe his day. It goes beyond the things I learn about the places and the special images to a chance to catch up with you and see how you are doing and what you discovered today. If there is such a thing as becoming a close friend in a virtual world you have achieved that, and I am forever grateful. Enjoy Koh Samui. Laos is a fertile country. Covered with forest resources and the terrain is mostly mountains and streams, it is undeniable that from north to south Laos is full of waterfalls. I ❤ this country. Your video is amazing 👍👍👍👍Paddy.
Well as it happens I booked a ticket to Pakse about the same time you posted this. Nice one! You inspired me to finally get out of Oz to travel to these parts (in Cambodia now) and so double thank you!! Now I've just got to brave up to get back on a motor bike after a 3 year gap...in a 'wrong side of the road' country ;)
the ruins looks so beautiful. At some of the tombs of Korean kings, I found a road, lookin like the one in the video, only with two arrays: the lower one is for the spirit of the deceased and the higher one is for a light to guide the spirit to the ancestral rite.
In India similar waterfall is there like this third waterfall. They provide life jacket to go and swim. So me who is a non swimmer enjoyed so much in that waterfall.
Will be visiting Laos soon and will be doing all three waterfalls 😍

Just Epic, really liked the slow-motion drone shots over the waterfalls. Love your adventuresome exploring nature Paddy. Most would have just left on that third waterfall with everything abandoned. It was the best one! You had me on the edge of my seat crossing the river, looked rather precarious! Another great video Paddy!

I first started watching travel vids 7 or 8 yrs ago as part of research I was doing for trips I was planning. Further travel looking unlikely now in immediate future for various reasons, so now I watch for a bit of escapism. I like that you keep it real and make it feel like you are travelling pretty much the same way whether you were filming it or not. With a lot of other travel vloggers I find it feels like they are all about creating content, not necessarily exploring a destination
Those waterfalls look great, especially the second one!!! The main reason I watch your (and similar) channels is, to get some inspiration for my own travels around the world. I started to watch your channel with the Vietnam series, because I went to Vietnam myself this summer. And these Laos video's are tempting me to go there myself some day. Also its great just to watch you exploring these places, even if people are not planning to go to Vietnam, Thailand or Laos. You have a great way of presenting and your video/drone skills are top level!!!

Another fantastic video...amazing waterfalls. Laos has thrown up some absolute gems. To answer your question...I find SE Asia truly special and your videos/vlogs have provided us with amazing sights, some off the beaten track and not on some of the tourist videos you see on You Tube. For example, on our last visit to Thailand in April we travelled from Khon Kaen to Nakhon Phanom and Mukdahan to see the Mekong, Wat Phratat Phamom and Great Buddha (and dragon) temple. You have a great sense of humour and it's been an honour to follow you over the past 2 years. I would love to visit Vietnam, rural Laos (I have been to Vientienne) and Cambodia. Additionally, there are places I would still like to visit in Thailand, but have visited 49 provinces and seen many beautiful temples, beaches, cities, sunrises, sunsets, animals, waterfalls, forests and not forgetting beautiful people and food etc. Your videos have given me the inspiration to continue visiting SE Asia, easily my favourite part of the world. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Paddy. Keep doing what your doing and in your own way 😉😁👍🙏

It's time for you to explore Laos. Ride the brand new Laos-China railway. Eat at all the restaurants. Shop for all the clothes. I bought 20 t-shirts for $1.00 each. The prices are amazing low.
I watch travel videos to see different countries, cultures, etc. and dream about places I might like to visit one day. I really like your content because you are moderate and genuine. The first video of yours that I watched was Angkor Wat. You were so in awe of the place and I just felt connected because of your reverence and respect for where you were. I decided then you are a traveler I wanted to follow because you have a true heart felt appreciation for people and places and aren't just using them to create content. You are truly just taking us on your journey. I don't watch creators that are just jam packing sites into an over-produced, fast paced video just to mark them off the list and convince the viewers that they are super awesome. I want to have a little experience of the people and place and you bring that. I feel like I'm walking around with you talking to a friend and it's really lovely.

I watch your vlog because I'm a 52 year old Brit settled in Phuket after 20 years of part time travelling around Asia. You're showing me places I never got around to visiting when I still had the energy to before entering middle age and wanting a more settled life.

For anyone planning on doing the pakse loop, dont miss Tad Jarou Halang (Tad Tayicseua) falls. It is possibly the best waterfall I have ever seen. Right up there with Kuang Si Falls in Luang Prabang!!!

Paddy I watch you because you are yourself in the videos, you show us the good and bad of travels. To be honest, I love to see the struggles experienced when traveling, not because I like to watch you suffer, but because I wish to do something similar so it gives me a fighting chance to prepare myself (for example your trip in Vietnam with the punctures haha now I know its worth maybe bringing a repair kit, you know stuff like this). Also, I love how you film, with the music, voice overs, cinematography of you walking or riding by, the drones shots as well (drone shots are amazing).

For me,,, I watch ur vlog cas of all the reasons you stated. Being a photographer and living in Thailand I really appreciate all the effort, B roll, research and filming you do. But mostly I appreciate ur honesty and no BS approach which makes ur videos enjoying and ur not a wanker haha
Still watching your channel cus I'd say it's more realistic than most other channels, it is rare to see someone willing to share both ups AND downs footages as you do. I hate that many other channels regarding the "beauuutiful" locations that you'd been to as "easy paradises". No that is not true, you can't reach those places without beating your own arses & back & belly through dusty & bumpy & dangerous roads, I'd been to many of those places you featured as well & so far the authenticity is higher that other guys. So as long as it is what it is now, I'm still watching; if it's a new place like Laos, that's great I have new info to know; if it's a place I'd been to like Vietnam or Thailand, that's also great I can relive the old experience all over again.

Wat Phu was refurbished bt the Italians in the 1970's. In the 11th Century the Khmer Empire controlled most of Laos and a large part of Thailand. Thais don't believe that of course. It isn't taught in Thai schools.
I also took my 125cc Yamaha scooter on a small boat across the Mekong River with my Thai GF in 2011. We visited Wat Phu for the day. We had been in Cambodia in 2010 & toured Angkor Wat in Siem Reap.
They can't believe that Khmer culture influences them. They look down on Khner people because Cambodia is a poor country.

I always enjoy your videos. Yes, you are going to places that some people may never see in their lifetime. Recently I was in Laos. However I only made it to Vientiane and Luang Prabang. In this video, I'm seeing so much more of Laos that I would love to see in person. In November 2023, I will be living in the Philippines. There I realized how difficult your work is, because I would not have wanted to work there and edit. No chair, bad internet. It was more like camping. So now you have one answer. Love Wat Pho and the waterfalls. Going to do the classic Farang "you should have been there ten years ago!" for the second fall, it wasn't all built up with zip lines and all and one could get down a path for a full view. Didn't make it to #3, good on you for swimming out and getting behind it. Wat Pho really could have been a full day explore, beautiful place. Nice to see the dragon head gutter is still there, channelling the spring water.
