I've learned more about the Kings Indian in these videos than I have from any dedicated Kings Indian lesson on RUclips. It's so helpful getting to see live games where low rated opponents make wild moves in response to the opening. As a 1200 player, it helps me understand the larger ideas behind the opening so that I can adapt to any of my opponents responses.
This is an excellent content! It's fun to watch and at the same time it teaches you about the particular opening in detail. I hope you will make more videos about other openings as well someday. I will enjoy this one for now. Cheers!
This is one of the best series for learning an opening and chess in general and is really entertaining. I'm hoping to see similar type of series for other openings in the future. Thank you!
@@god0fgames100 yeah there are two more "speedruns" (its not really about climbing as fast as possible). the one is called "building habits" and the other "fianchetto speedrun" i believe. if they're not on this channel they are uploaded to their second channel chessbrah extra.
“don’t think we seen this, new move” and proceed to fast forward to not hear the ideas behind the moves and decisions made, super cool I think that the editor use that black moves and doesn’t wanted us to know how to counter it
The "LOL" appearing on the screen combined with the laugh track really reminded me that the joke was funny and I spontaneously exploded into hysterics. Amazing work
Good question. Maybe playing music that would have gotten a copyright strike? Or making jokes that would get them demonetized on RUclips? I'd like to know too!
@ definitely not because they cut out the original music from the stream anyway. i'm pretty sure it's because of the "300 tactic". the point of the speedrun was to play simple games everyone can follow and then he comes with this. probably not a single person in the chat saw this one lol *nvm it was because he started talking about something unrelated to the game on the board
Not a flex post, was about 1850ish, hit 2000 in blitz exclusively using hambo’s fianchetto only prep, can’t wait to see what this one does. Appreciate the series big chief❤️
Keep them coming this is super. I hope Aman will do another speedrun with only one opening when this one is finished. Thanks for the upload to RUclips.
36:25 Nbd2 is bad example. After black's dxe4 white ends up too slow to do anything. One would be lucky if the black player makes two horrible moves in succession such as this player (...Bg5? and ...Bh5? leaving white with the initiative to attack b7).
The tactic around 52:40 could also have started with Ng5 (threatening mate and Black's queen), right? Black would have to interpose his queen on g6 and after QxQ there would also be the Knight fork on e6, winning the exchange... Maybe I'm wrong (as ususal 🙂). Great lessons here anyway! Cheers, Aman!
Oops, I missed ...Qf5, messing up my idea. Then, Qc4+ but ...Nf7 Nxf7 Rxf7 (or Qxf) leads to a lost endgame for White. Nice exercise for visualization though ;-)
Exceptional content because of your ability to communicate. The multi game process to demonstrate various positions makes your content the best I've seen because of your facility with words and the concepts. You don't always use the address of each square, (i.e., d5 or Rcf1), in your dialogue, sometimes you just illustrate what you mean with arrows on the board or a mouse point...that makes it easy to keep up with your gifted didactics...We are not all geniuses after all. You give me courage to learn a new game and try it with my chess peers. Thank you.
I really love that aman teaches this not so much for the opening memory but for the ideas and patterns that we can pick up Average bozos like me cant memorize lines for shit haha so its been really helpful
3:08 why didn't you worry about Nb3? if axb3 rook hangs...so then Rb2 is forced and then qxa2...i don't know how strong the attack is but i feel like you lose tempo at least
@@RaptureReady2025 You are right. It is not directly there. You can already think about the idea when your opponent plays the Queen on the a file. This time stamp is better: 3:35
You are a gifted teacher. This is a wonderful approach to in depth understanding of the opening. I have a question about white queen placement. Apparently, in positions with closed d-file the queen will move from d1 to e1 in order to x-ray the knight on h4 prior to f4. If the d-file is open and c3 had been played to control b4 and d4, then the queen goes to e2 to control d3, which was unprotected by the c3 advance. A black queen on d3 does not win anything, but its well centralized and makes it harder to get the kingside attack rolling. Are there other factors in deciding question of Qe1 or Qe2?
Oh my! I watch solely on YT and it hurt me to know that he started doing these sooo looong ago and is only started uploading later... i should catch a stream some time
Thanks watching! You can find all the episodes here: ruclips.net/p/PLUjxDD7HNNTinraGDsjTkIh_NMnaIOr4K
NOTE - it seems that 51:37 to 52:13 is high speed with no audio from GM Hambleton.

This is literally the best way to learn an opening!
*Factuality*

I fucking love Aman. His rant around 56:30 about finding your passion was perfection
dude, thanks so much I really appreciate the speedruns where you play the same line. You're the best!!! :-)))
Are there speed runs where he plays something else?

Great vids but not sure why the editor fast forwarded through Aman’s thoughts on the jandim game at 51:33 wtf?

Ah another chessbrah video for our enjoyment! Really appreciate it!

where can i see the fianchetto only prep?
damn the way you saw that 300 elo tactic was impressive. i really gotta be doing that "three moves ahead" thing
Keep them coming this is super. I hope Aman will do another speedrun with only one opening when this one is finished. Thanks for the upload to RUclips.
"full throttle! hmm wait, how full do we want the throttle to be?" 😆
Why ffwd through that early f5 opening? ~50 min mark.
Brah these long videos? Its what i watch when i eat. Appreciated the effort, keep it up!
Love this series. Thanks!
in the position at 4:10, can’t Black play Nb3 forking the rook and the bishop and winning a pawn?
im a 600 rated player and id really appreaciate if you could make more of this kind of videos with another openings, great content!

VERY NICE AND VERY USEFUL CONTENT! I am a 1200 - ish noob and I play 90% of the time with black the KI. Always somethimg to learn. Fantastic!

same thought
This doesn’t make any sense at 3:08… there’s no way for this to play out ..? 🤷🏻♂️

@@7own878 ah yes I see it now and agree too 👍🏼
I hope you make a video to summarize opening order depends of enemy move
22:04 poor guy. Really wanted a check with a pawn(d5-d6) move. Instead lost that pawn and got checkmated
3:35 You see all sort of things at home. But was not there this very obvious Nb3 idea exploiting the pinned a-pawn?
Love these speedruns!
Funniest and most educative video on the King's indian🤣🤣

I loved that Qg4 alpha chad 1200. No wonder I cant climb these guys are yoked
thanks for posting! audio quality on the voice is not great - sounds like your mic is picking up quite a bit of echo
I liked the move at 50:14
Get outta here Levy's alt account!
I'm so bad at these openings. From 800 to 1600, all I did was just survive until the mid-game and pray for mistakes.
we need this with the london from the master aman himself!!1!1!1
49:49 that’s why I love aman
anyone know which headphones hambo's wearing? the grey velour earcups look comfy
Now i am ready to play king's indian
Winning by time (flagging) doesn't really help us to win, more an ego trip for Brah... However that apart, love the series...
how is 8:14 Qxg4 possible??
He explains that later
Thanks brahs!!
Very interesting thx!
I feel like 1200 is the elohell of chess 😂 I remember complainig about elohell in league of legends s2-~4 and really it was the same story
Can someone explain queen g4?
From the first game? He explains it right after the game ends
@@accela09 oh sorry i hadnt got that far yet and after the move he just stopped talking about it so i just presumed he wouldnt go over it.
OOOH Susoreal is steaming after that
i watched the beginning of this series and now i am @1600

Awesome video! 🔥 if you get time I just dropped new chess content and I’m trying to grow my channel as much as I can this year!
It's not interesting to play against 1200, you should play against 1800-2000
well he will climb to that elo eventually, its a speedrun buddy
I’m not only enjoying this now but will likely be referencing it in the future.
Too bad about the fast forward video without audio section, though🥲
