Ningning really just needs to work on exposure; SM's fault entirely. When she gets to perform live and she's in her element, she's absolutely on fire. SM forcing to lipsync their first three years was definitely a detriment. edit: It frustartes me sometimes that she often chooses to be safe than risking notes, but I guess we also can appreciate her for taking care of her voice. Anyway her headvoice is immaculate and she definitely relies on it and mixes more heady whenever she's in doubt (which ig is okay considering how piercing Winter is).
Great video ! btw i believe Lily sang some A5s in Head Voice in her cover of All i want for christmas. NingNing also has a new Bb5 in mix in "Salty and Sweet"
If Lia master the foundation she can be the queen of vocal bc her tone is so beautiful and unique, that’s something you can’t train to achieve. I hope she improves in the future.
All I know is that Lily has the best 4th gen vocals so far (for me). The control of that girl in her voice is insane. Even from a very young age, that was evident. You can even compare her to the best of the best from the older gens, and she'd have no problem reaching their level (e.g. the Ailee/Yuju collab). Give her a tad bit more time to develop and I'm confident she might just become the best kpop vocalist of all time That being said, Haewon is definitely not too far behind. Nmixx in general has one of the best vocalists, so that doesn't surprise me. I agree with the ranking, except for Lily and Haewon (1st and close 2nd), and the last 2 in the list. I'd say Sieun is a tad bit better than Lia since Lia kinda struggles a bit even in the vocal range she's supposed to be most comfortable in :) Still... they're all amazing vocalists (and more importantly, they're all better than me lol)
There’s something that i love about ningning is that it sounds easy for her, she doesn’t need to like scream or get everything force out of her chest, it sounds easy in the ears everytime
I think Lilly has best vocal technique and powerful in pop song, but i like Sulyoon's voice tone/color/timbre, it rich but soft. The best musicality is Yunjin, and I considered only Yunjin now that I can called her as true artist.
even though liz is low and behind now, she has such a unique vocal colour that is rich, but smooth and sweet that stands out from the rest of her group. starship needs to capitalize on that. she needs real deal training and a giant confidence boost because she has astronomical potential to rise the ranks. go liz
Idk much about vocal technique but I loved and kept repeating Ningning’s belt during Savage’s 1st prechorus on their 1st encore. Like yes girl! Belt that with confidence! I wish she sang more like that. I notice the fear in her eyes whenever she has to belt or even just sing live in general (which is interesting since Winter’s the opposite, girl doesn’t give af lol). I personally think her nicest moments are when she’s in a casual setting. So much potential when she gets over that hurdle.
Lilly vocal range is actually Eb3-Bb5-Bb5 The Eb3 was in the staff's wedding "To you my light". The Bb5 (hv) was in her vlive practicing on "Ego" - Beyonce.
Yunjin is a weird case, cuz she seems to be the same as her predebut stage until you get to the higher end of her mixed voice and that at least to me is where i hear the difference, but nonetheless she still is a great vocalist with loads of potential
i think its also bc she stopped singing, she was going to go to university and move on from an idol life before hybe rang her. the others have been training cinsistently for years.
it would be nice an agility ranking. I feel like, in k-pop, riffs and runs are overlooked, but I'm a sucker for agilty, one of the reasons I love SulHaeLy so much.
Arguing about vocal tone is subjective and is like comparing with apples to oranges. Which doesn't make any sense. So, if people were to argue with you, it would be like arguing with a wall since we all have our subjective taste. I also like Haewon's tone too.
Good video as always. I just think you could give Lily D5/Eb5 since she showcase a good consistency with Eb5. Also, I would give Yujin G#3/A3-Bb4/B4-G#5, since she showed the capacity to sustain and support up to G#5 and to phrase A5 with support, and she supported couple of G#3 like in raise your glass. Anyway, glad you're back.💙
Weeekly Monday deserve to be recognized as one of the top 4th gen vocalist. Her high note in 'Solar' on Weverse 💕 even her low note from 'when we were young' by Adele cover on radio. I mean there's a lot Monday sing live on Weverse that uploaded on RUclips. Maybe it's time to analysis Weeekly Monday vocal.
Besides bringing more chest voice into her mix in the 5th octave, Ningning also should lift more her soft palate, that would give more of a open sound to her notes rather then the small quality thet her high notes have know.
Late but I seriously hope Lia gets the right sources for vocal training after Itzy disbands, she has so much potential, but her biggest issue is her confidence and her mixed, her A4 sounds effortless at times and she can even sing Bb4 back then, she needs to be taught how to belt properly

I think Lia has the potential to be a powerhouse vocalist the problem is that, In true JYP fashion, she’s forced to sing with an unnatural tone. JYP has all these talented women in his company but if you’re not in Twice you’re given scraps. He has Twice until 2029 now so hopefully he’ll stop trying to recreate their magic and let Itzy and NMIXX create their own magic. Anyways, I’m not gonna sit here and rank talented women like they’re objects created solely for our entertainment during women’s history month or ever, so I put all of them at number one because they all have strengths and weaknesses and that’s just called being human and the real talent is putting yourself out into the public eye and taking criticism like water off a ducks back. I believe part of the reason why it seems like Lily and Haewon can engage their chest effortlessly and with confidence is what Lily said in an interview. They "always sang in dance practices", they learnt from a very young age that stability was better with the chest locked in and the diaphragm supporting the voice. Sullyoon also has incredible support while dancing and has no issue engaging her chest. Bae even though she's a less proficient vocalist also has this ability but on a much narrower scope. I'm not sure Nmixx has the best range, agility, tonality, dynamics etc. But in support/stability they are redefining the standard of the entire industry, I wish more people would be aware of their talent.
I’m not sure about that concert since not everything was live. But she has some C#’s she just doesn’t have them the same way Haewon has them consistently. It’s mostly phrasing
i wouldn’t give G3 to Lily. she has very few good G3s. she’s rather only consistent with G#3 / A3. if you gave G3 to Lily you should also give it to Haewon cuz even Haewon has more G3s than Lily. i agree with pretty much everything else you said, i feel like a big problem for haewon is her nasality tho, especially when she doesn’t necessarily belt big long sustained notes. her placement is usually good for those like that sustained C5 you showed but a lot of the times she opts for this very nasal unpleasant sound which i wish she would fix SO SO BAD
Hm I rarely hear Haewon go down to G3 all too much. Even then, her and Lily lows aren't too far apart. I don't hear Haewon utilizing her stronger chest voice in her lows much.
i have a question about haewon, u mentioned that she's very close to achieving resonance, can u show me which moment where she almost did that? thanks in advance^^
Actually Ningining range is D3-G#5-C#6, mas Ningning os consistent supporting F#3/G3-C#5/D5-Eb5. Also Lily is very consistent with D5/Eb5, she even supported one or two E5s
Actually NingNing's highest mixed note is B♭5 ( In salty and sweet ) But would wait for a studio ver since its very borderline of headvoice. C5/C♯5 or C5 would be fair enough for NingNing , I don't think she's consistent with D5 though. She usually gets too light and losses support above C5/C♯5.
@@YEOUN_channel actually I bet that audio from their concert was of the oficial audio, since not seems to be pre recorded, because its obviously not live, the others songs are but this not, and has a channel that put the audio very clearly almost like a studio version, but the crowd screams still there, but lower.
F#3/G3~C5 is closer for Ningning (C5/C#5 pretty much the same thing, but I'm a bit averse to giving her C#5 since more material has come out...). Above C5, she starts showing issues with the overly light mix coordination. As for her HV, she can pull it off sure, but even when she can pull out a HV, the connection and coordination is still pretty weak and she mainly relies on a falsetto instead.

If youre lazy to watch the video heres the final ranking:
1 - Lily and Haewon
2 - NingNig
3 - Yunjin
4 - Liz
5 - Lia
6 - Sieun

@_TA11 she is not, Haewon and Lily still better than her
Ningning really just needs to work on exposure; SM's fault entirely.
I think so too but i was a bit off with the vocal ranges probably
@@izonexbae yeah and 2ning has connected her hv till F6, and Lia has mixed up till F#5😅 but i think that the supported ranges are accurate

Lily and Haewon are the best 1,2 punch in the 4th gen and then you add Sullyoon.... it is insane.
Plus every other member can support. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Give her a tad bit more time to develop and I'm confident she might just become the best kpop vocalist of all time
That being said, Haewon is definitely not too far behind.
When sieun hit a whistle note I was in utter shock
I'm too lazy to find it, where is it?

my favorite vocalist is Yunjin. every time she sings i feel her love for music.
I love Lia’s voice! Her emotion when she sings she makes me want to cry. She just get shy but she sounds so beautiful.
Haewon simply a main vocalist material in some of 4th gen ggs.
In all actually and she's a main vocalist in nmixx alongside lily.
shes also a main vocalist in nmixx aswell
Not some 4th gen ggs, she could be a main vocal in pretty much in every 4th group rn (I’m not sure about all the nugus)
@@mimi_imfat I think in all groups, besides 12dal. Actually I don’t know much about 12dal
In EVERY 4th gen GG
So in this list:
Low range: NingNing
Mid range: Haewon
Higher range: Lily
More like
Lows: Ningning
4th octave and Mid range: Haewon
Head voice and 5th octave: Lily
The funny thing is my 4th gen fav idol is all started with letter L. Lia, Lily, Liz..gosh, I hope someday they can make a collab
Sieun have si much potential omg :0
My favorite is Liz, I LOVE HER VOCAL TONE!!!
Lilly vocal range is actually Eb3-Bb5-Bb5
The Eb3 was in the staff's wedding "To you my light".

Hybe vocal coach is meh 😕
i think its also bc she stopped singing, she was going to go to university and move on from an idol life before hybe rang her. the others have been training cinsistently for years.
She is in HYBE... that's the problem. They have the worst vocal coaches.
I think that Billlie has some AMAZING main vocalists. It'd be really cool to see what you thought.
I agree with this ranking especially LILY and HAEWON and NINGNING
But there are also other amazing vocalists like CHAEHYON from Kep1er
New intro, new analysis and a new start!
Corrections about the vocal ranges:
Lily: Eb3-Bb5-Bb5
Yunjin: F3-F#5-C6(mightve gone higher)
it would be nice an agility ranking.
I feel like, in k-pop, riffs and runs are overlooked, but I'm a sucker for agilty, one of the reasons I love SulHaeLy so much.
I am a sucker for vocalists like D.O because his runs are great. Baek Yerin too.
The way sieun can hit 3 of the highest notes ( BB5,G6, and F6)in kpop with ease and walk out without broken vocal cords is CRAZY
If she keeps doing that, she will regress
And we all know she's a weak vocalist

Honourable mention to one of the best vocalist in 4th gen , the one and only, Monday from Weeekly💝
Sullyoon is also a good vocalist, visual that actially can sing live
Besides bringing more chest voice into her mix in the 5th octave, Ningning also should lift more her soft palate, that would give more of a open sound to her notes rather then the small quality thet her high notes have know.
Lily is so far ahead of any other 4th Gen idol, she's basically on the short list for the GOAT K-pop vocalist.
The way Sullyoon could also make it on this list 😭 Nmixx fighting!
Late but I seriously hope Lia gets the right sources for vocal training after Itzy disbands, she has so much potential, but her biggest issue is her confidence and her mixed, her A4 sounds effortless at times and she can even sing Bb4 back then, she needs to be taught how to belt properly
Liz voice is so beatiful
Lily has A5 note in headvoice on her cover song "All I want for Christmas" tho
lily and haewon is good but i love ningning's vocal more, her voice is everything

I think Lia has the potential to be a powerhouse vocalist the problem is that, In true JYP fashion, she’s forced to sing with an unnatural tone. I think they wanted her to be the next Nayeon and make Yeji the next Jihyo but Lia, as you said, does better in a lower register. All these Queens are amazing and deserve the world. Werk ladies!!
The problem is she doesnt have the same level of technique. I like ITZY btw.
@@saltyx4136 yeah I don’t understand why the company would train her vocal in an unnatural way like it’s obvious from debut. I swear Ningning always looks/sounds like she will be sent straight back to China by SM if she makes just one mistake on stage. She has so much fear in her big eyes😂
It's because people are always racist towards her just because she is Chinese.
I would give NingNing C#5 cus she consistent with her C#5 in the Hyper Line Concert
I’m not sure about that concert since not everything was live. But she has some C#’s she just doesn’t have them the same way Haewon has them consistently. It’s mostly phrasing
@@izonexbae yeah idols used prerecord vocals
Would have loved to see your opinion on Swan and Go Eun of PURPLE kiss. Especially goeun
i wouldn’t give G3 to Lily. she has very few good G3s. she’s rather only consistent with G#3 / A3. if you gave G3 to Lily you should also give it to Haewon cuz even Haewon has more G3s than Lily.
i agree with pretty much everything else you said, i feel like a big problem for haewon is her nasality tho, especially when she doesn’t necessarily belt big long sustained notes. her placement is usually good for those like that sustained C5 you showed but a lot of the times she opts for this very nasal unpleasant sound which i wish she would fix SO SO BAD
Hm I rarely hear Haewon go down to G3 all too much. Even then, her and Lily lows aren't too far apart. I don't hear Haewon utilizing her stronger chest voice in her lows much.
