When doctor say six weeks, we count from last menstrual period. 因为一盘人月经是四个礼拜。第四个礼拜没来，通常你觉得没关系，等多一个礼拜（第五个）， 然后买怀孕测查器 （第六个礼拜）。 如果阳性就可以直接找医生。if we delay another 6 weeks. 6+6 = 12. At 12 weeks it is a bit late for first booking. the second error pertains to FTS. FTS is the cheaper traditional blood tests (comprising of beta hcg, PAPPA). Detection rate 90%. This is done at 9-13 weeks. Ultrasound Nuchal translucency done at 11-13 weeks. On the other hand NIPT can be done from 10 weeks to term. NIPT is nearly 100% accurate. If FTS is positive, the next step is still NIPT. (so there is no advantage of FTS except it being cheaper)
maybe we didn't explained clear enough, but we mentioned "6 weeks and above" instead of another "6 weeks"😅我们是在月经迟来的第二天就发现怀孕的, 打电话给诊所才知道医生建议第六个星期后才去诊所. our first visit to KK hospital was also slightly passed week 6 of pregnancy. regarding FTS, we went back for blood test result and scanning again (which we didn't know it's NT) 2 weeks later from drawing blood 😂(video coming soon) thanks for the clarification though! 😊
