As soon as you talked about 'wardrobe' scent, I thought 'oh, it smells like old Paris' and then you said 'it smells like old Paris'. Boom! Scented travel trunks on steamers, powdered, slightly-less-than-fresh flappers walking through Le Marais at dawn. And the nonchalant, almost weary tone. I totally get the nostalgia of the vibe; tinged with delicious sadness. Can't wait to grab it.

Dacob, you 100% nailed it. After the first spray, immediately I thought this reminds me of something I've smelled before. Top notes were like yes! During the dry down, it started to smell as if the perfume was turning bad but must be the patchouli. Going to give it another try as well as layering, but Deauville still reigns king! My favorite rose scent is still Dior La Colle Noir.
Buying it now as I type! I really love your olfactory reviews with scenic descriptions of where the notes take you! Thank you, Dacob!

I could afford and saw this! Yay and your review! It’s actually very affordable! And the notes sound nice for spring summer! it will layer well with my Chanel 5 Leau!! It’s a bummer as cape cod has one mall and it’s SAD…and I can’t get my nose on new ( well new to me) things…but this seems like a safe blind buy! Thank goodness for you & your reviews! 💕

I love it too. Its a beauty.
I layered Paris-Biarritz with Paris-Venise and it lasted much longer. I also layered Paris-Biarritz with Chanel's Eau de Cologne and it was quite fresh and pleasant. You are totally right, Les Eaux are supposed to be oversprayed throughout the day and layered with each other.

Dacob! I love your perfume reviews especially your vivid personal take!!! I am in love with this fragrance as I have been to Paris so many times! This scent reminds me of musee de l'orangerie, where they have Monet’s water lilies and also Place Vendome in Paris!! Any idea which perfume in Les exclusifs line would be closest to this one?

I recently tested them all again and fell in love with Paris Paris. This one is longwearing!!!! It smells so gorgeous and soft. Reminds me of a rose petal bath and then stepping into a silky robe having tea by the window with light rain outside. It's beautiful. It has replaced Paris Venise for me as top 1

I am just enjoying my sample of this fragrance and sitting here smelling it as I reviewed the comments. I just ordered the full sized bottle earlier today. I get rose petals, freshly bathed, and tea feeling too. I am glad you said that. However, it soon feels the way I feel with a little too much tea or tea that is delicious but too strong so my stomach feels a bit uneasy though. So, I like to layer it with something slightly warm and sweet (not too sweet though), the way you would have a cookie to balance the tannins of the tea. My favorite so far is with Chanel Allure EDT. Nice fragrance but a little too baked cookie sensation for me on its own, but with Paris-Paris it is perfection for me.
I appreciate your sensory associations, which are in some ways similar to mine, sans the uneasiness in the stomach. Every Chanel fragrance wears differently on people. I tried Beige and it was wet brown paper towels with dry hand soap from 100 years ago in my elementary school on me; yet on my male supervisor, it was wonderful! Totally different! I don’t care what anyone says about skin chemistry, it is a thing!

I really enjoy it.
I have to stay far away from most of the spring and summer scents because of their usual guests, basil, mint and blackcurrant.
Paris-Paris will surely be layered with Coco noir and Sisley Soir de Lune.

Exactly! That dusty rose old smell was in old Lancome powder and then it was in Gurlean Instant Magic. That is the only powdery smell i like. Immediately bought it full size.

I finally rec'd my Paris Paris and I was so impressed with the packaging. I couldn't wait to get it out and try and when I did the blast of cedar instantly hit me. Do you think it was due to the heat outside (July in Texas). I don't mind it but it wasn't what I expected for top notes.
After listening to your review, you describe it perfectly-a dusty old rose drawer with a poof of patchouli everywhere when you open the bureau but I will let it cool off before I try it again.
The jury is in and hubby loves it so I gifted it to him! I need something more rosy! :)

This morning after the cool down of travel, we spritzed a morning glaze of Paris Paris and this time the lemon was the top 🎵🎶🎵 and filled the air with summer! It was a lovely citrus 🍋. The dry down 2 hours later I smell a hint of 🌹, not to strong, but I think it was the heat yesterday that spoiled my first experience and hubby will now have to share his treasure with me haha 😆

We still don’t know. As of now it has not been released. Judging by how they released the other ones in the lineup, I guess we can expect a release sometime next year in late spring… but thats just my speculation. Xoxo

I love the fragrance! In my opinion it’s the best from the Les Eaux so far. Indeed it’s a bit similar to Paris Rivière but that one gives me Tom Ford vibes, with all that neroli going on in the opening.
I layered Paris Paris with Coco Noir and omg it’s fabulous, even more dirty shame.
I’d really see a young Brigitte Bardot wearing this fragrance, after all she was the 60s movies icon.
