When I was boxing I avoided weights like the plague because I thought it would slow me down. 132 was my class. I didn’t have much power probably due to not doing functional weightlifting
Lifting gives you zero power
Power is something your born with either you have it or you don’t
@@MikeT-in1egnot true, you can develop power. Speed is also a connective part in power, it’s why I a lot of smaller fighter fighters can generate such power. Mike Tyson was a hard puncher mainly because of his speed and technique.
@@ctony8089it can depending how you lift the weight. You need to lift in a way that generates force for example: when coming up from a Hex bar deadlift, you need to explode or drive fast at the top. This will build your fast muscle twitch fibers and the force you generate will flow from the ground up to your upper body and finally at its release point.
