Lemmy Kilmister Statue Unveiled at Los Angeles’ Rainbow Bar & Grill 8/24/2016

The centerpiece of this week of Lemmy Kilmister tributes in Los Angeles took place Wednesday night (Aug. 24) in Los Angeles, as the friends and family of the late Motorhead frontman joined fans both local and those who traveled for this special occasion just to see the brand new statue of Kilmister unveiled at his favorite L.A. hangout, the Rainbow Bar & Grill.

It's a shame that they took a photo of lemmy already very sick as a model for the statue. It would have been better to remember him in full health. Even if we don't need a statue to think of him, it's cool that the rainbow pays homage to him (at the same time, it must attract headbangers from all over the world)

I had the pleasure of coming out west to LA from Baltimore to see Lemmy's statue. Also sat on his stool at the end of the bar where he played his video machine. What an exoerience for me, BTW, the Rainbow has excellent chicken wings! Cheers!
