The coming physical discomfort of hangover is one we tend to be able to ignore. The coming mental discomfort of the shame of what we have done or not done because of drinking, also something that the compulsive drinker seems to ignore.

I celebrated a year sober with no slips a couple weeks ago. I just wanted to thank you for your videos, they were really helpful to me early on. The last six months I haven’t even missed it in the least. Now at 50 I look at it as the stupid habit I had through my younger years that spun completely out of control. The people that really care about a person will be there in support when the battle is over. Thanks again for your insight outside of the program.

I remember it was 22.10.2020 when I had my last drink. The next morning I felt immensely guilty for not able to stop drinking. My brother in law came to me that day and said you will never be able to stop drinking. I felt terribly bad that day and finally started to search the internet for an answer and I finally found you who for the first time made me realise that anyone who drinks too much is not a loser but does so out of habit. I quickly enrolled myself for your 30 days startup programme and read many books recommended by you. Today I am alcohol free for more than 2 years and I know that the reason I was drinking at first place was because I was not able to coup up with day to day life challenges. Challenge are still there but today I try to face but head on. Sometimes I watch your videos and they get me going. They say start your day with gratitude and if I have to be thankful to somebody for the rest of my life it is you Kevin. I will soon rejoin your programme and educate many where you cannot reach.

Bottom line. You have to want it. No waffling. 100% commitment. 99% and you will fail. Remove yourself from the places & people who will make you want to drink. It requires change. That's the hardest part. It's worked for me. February of 2024, I will have 10 years. Zero slip ups. You can do it!!

Stoping drinking alcohol wont make life's issues disapear but it will benefit how you deal with them and how to overcome them by reaching for the bottle every time you need to block out the pain will only lead to making things worse , you'll ride the waves of life better and become a stronger person sober .

I am amazed you quit smoking first! I can't have a drink without a smoke, so to me it was logical to quit drinking first! I am almost one month in and feeling pretty positive. Hopefully I will be ready to quit smoking before the end of this year. But from experience, I know not to try and do it all at once. Kick one bad habit at a time! Same with good habits...take them on one at a time...when you are used to it, bring in another good habit! Good luck to everyone.

I actually have no alcohol cravings. I'm 57 year old and will be 58 in a couple of months. I once was a heavy drinker in throughout my 20s and early 30s but that was due to my environment and who I was around. Once I got married and had a family, my drinking went down tremendously to practically non existent. However, my wife started drinking wine on weekends as well as some cocktails in the last 15 years. Alcohol no longer served me and I really didn't feel good after drinking. I have taken several breaks over the years. After the holidays last year, I decided to due dry January with the option of going further. As of today, I am 75 days alcohol free and haven't any alcohol the entire 2024. I plan on continue living an alcohol free lifestyle.

WARNING...If you need a reminder like most people I drank most days for 40 years of my life. Just social like (Guinness) and the odd glass of wine. No problem I thought. Routine visit to the Docs. Did some routine blood tests !!!. Your blood count has plummeted from a count of 150 to 44. What's going on. Straight to hospital. Scans, tests etc. Upshot enlarged spleen and scirosis of the liver brought on by alcohol. You think it will never be you. I'm back in hospital this week. Please take notice of these videos !!!
