I hate to say it, but I'm one of the few people that liked season 4! People said the writing was awful, but there were so many meaningful episodes and moments that tie a lot of stuff together. Plus, some of the acting was amazing. Too bad it all had to end as soon as it did, I feel it could still have held it's own with a lot of the crap that's on TV now...
One of the best season first scenes I've seen on TV. The O.C was amazing. Such a dark scene. I'm still pissed that this ended after 4 seasons and One Tree Hill got 9 seasons. One Tree Hill sucked after season 4 and really wasn't that great during those 4 seasons. I wanted to see atleast two more seasons of O.C. Great show.
One tree hill was still good in seasons 5 & 6. Seasons 7 & 8 bored me and it wasn’t the same without Lucas & Peyton. Season 9 was intense and I think it brought the show back to life. The OC could’ve gotten a couple more seasons if Marissa was still alive. With Marissa’s death, I think it was good that the OC ended when it did, but I still think the writers made a big mistake killing off Marissa
This lyrics to this song is amazingly true to this scene. *"If I only could make a deal with god, to swap our places."* I know without a doubt that neither Ryan nor Julie Cooper would hesitate to trade their life for Marissa's. Thats what makes this scene so sad. We know Ryan is practically sucidal at this stage, he was getting beaten up in the cage almost everyday, and he was enjoying it. He was secretly hoping someone would accidentally kill him, this was forshadowed in the fact he wouldn't take the money he earned from his fights.
Funny how this song became a huge hit after that Stranger Things. I loved this song long before that doing this song, and The Vampire Diaries episode 1. This OG version is forever ICONIC🔥🔥🔥🔥
This song makes the whole scene sad, I wish Marissa didn't die. But that's good acting for you :/ Julie giving Ryan information on Volchok's where abouts.
i still think they will bring it back in the future like 90210. grown up Ryan Seth summer with kids of their own be very interesting still occasionally still seeing Ryan punch someone 😂
The first two episodes of season 4 were actually really good, i guess because they were carrying on from season 3 in a way. It was downhill from there unfortunately.
A bit late but actually the first 3 eps were really good after they settled the Ryan, Volchok storyline it kinda lost momentum until maybe the last few eps. The rest of the season wasn't terrible but didn't really feel like classic OC.
It was good because it still related back to the O.C. of old with Marissa’s death. Seeing Ryan and other characters grieving was truly touching to the audience. After that it iust became a parody show.
I actually think season 4 is one of the better seasons of the show. Season 3 with all its dragging and constant back and forth, the Johnny subplots and the constant heaviness of the show around that time… the show went out with a bang in my opinion.
This scene is fantastic... but I'm still so fucking pissed off that they couldn't let Marissa live. I understand Mischa wanted off the show and that is to be respected, that's fine, but goddamn after everything Marissa's been through just let the poor girl leave to go work on the boat like she planned to. Have her exit the show that way :(
It was actually her choice when she left how to exit and that was what she wanted.. I think she was going through some things and with her age being so young she made a quick choice without really thinking how her fan base would respond. I feel the same but when emotions are high and you are given the choice this is the outcome...
Picture urself in a movie then ur character dies, then at the end u get brought back from the dead, and then there is a sequel of ur movie and in the beginning when the movie begins placebo's "running up that hill" plays then in the 1st scene u r lookin 4 revenge on the person who killed u tht would b awesome
Season 4 was my favorite. Taylor Townsend was a much better character than marissa. Marissa brought nothing but hell into Ryan’s life… season 4 was quite refreshing. Season 1, then 4, then 2, and then 3. That’s my rank
I liked this song because of the OC , long before the Stranger Things/Kate Bush Hype🤪
Seriously. Stranger things tainted it for me
The O.C always had awesome soundtracks that really made it even better.
still alive?

I agree, totally.
the OC is probably one of the most under rated shows of all time.
Agree

This was the only episode I loved from the fourth season, and it was purely based on this scene. Amazing
I agree 100%

never forget the greatest show of my youth : )
This scene was about his revenge u can tell how broken he was after Marisa not even Taylor could fill that void
It was great. Ryan was destroyed by it as we all would it shows very clearly how different people deal with a loss in very different ways.

This will always be the OC Marissa detath trauma song first, then Max's stranger things song
This episode is amaizing! I really like me. The song and the way of follow the history...
But I miss Marissa Cooper! :'(

@@AscensionINC-zi1jz You're never late. The O.C like Friends is one of those TV show people will re-watch over and over. It's a god damn classic!
@@JS_246 It really is. Has that addictive quality to it.

wow u shud go 2 george lucas wid dat idea nigga
Still hurts
season 4 was alright except Marissa was not there after the end of season 3
awesome intro the season but they ended it all way to quickly..
They didn't have a choice. Fox canceled the show last minute so the show scrambled for an ending.
@@Chris4813 Lucius Fox? Didnt know Bruce Wayne owned the O.C
