ABOUT THIS FEED:
The camera is mounted on the Springfield Union station, the second busiest Amtrak station in Massachusetts. Tracks 4, 6 and 8 are Amtrak’s New Haven-Springfield Line. Tracks 1, 2 and 2a belong to CSX, its Berkshire Line. West of the station platforms Amtrak curves to the south while CSX continues on to cross the Connecticut River on a twin truss bridge. Amtrak routes served: Hartford Line, Lake Shore Limited, Northeast Regional, Valley Flyer, and the Vermonter. CSX runs ~14 freight trains daily. The local Connecticut Southern Railroad (CSO) runs freight twice daily. Springfield is also a terminating station for CTrail, a commuter service, to/from New Haven, Connecticut.
