The monitor arms are genius! Tops on pots up here can help a lot to quicken boiling. Elevation and low humidity can be weird! You will find your rhythm and learn new things all along the way.❤️❤️

Having worked in a tight space before, its really helpful to take advantage of the unused vertical space (shelves, hooks, racks that fold down, pegboard, etc). May help open up your work surfaces and make things more visible and readily accessible. In my studio I put everything on wheels that I can (work smarter not harder). Makes stuff easy to move for cleaning, accessing stuff that falls, less under foot, less lifting, and creating floor space when needed. I like having a table I can wheel around if I suddenly need more work surface for a given task, and easily roll it back out of the way later. .. just some food for thought as you sort things out.
Congratulations on your new dedicated workspace. (You look beautiful btw)

Thank you, Anne!! I definitely need to hang some things and I’m sure it will evolve over the years and we’ll have to see what changes I need to make! I really appreciate the sweet comments! I feel huge! 😂

@@BreakingYarn yes, once you live/work in a space for a while, you really get a feel for the flow and how you can make it work best for you. I’m still tweaking some, years later. 😊

Well that was very interesting. Sorry the induction burners aren’t working that well. So cool that you have a designated space ti do your dying now. The monitor arms are genius and repurposing the dresser was so smart.

I don’t know if this would help but when I am making a large pot of spaghetti I will use my electric kettle to quickly “pre-boil” the water then I add it to my big pot. Maybe once the water is boiling the burners will be able to keep up the temps.? It takes about 15 mins to get several quarts boiling. Thanks for sharing your journey

Thank you for the suggestion!! I think I edited it out where I mention I am already using the hottest water I can get from my tap (which is decently hot), so it’s not starting off cold - but I think it’s a great idea to try to boil it in a kettle or something first and then add it! I’ll definitely try that!

Sorry you are having so many challenges! When that happens to me I try to “escape “ for a bit. I realize you are anxious to get your shop back up and running. Would a lid on the pot possibly help with boiling? How about getting regular water from garden hose? Just some little thoughts 💭 😉

Our whole house, including hoses, are on the water softener, but it doesn’t seem to make too big of a difference! I definitely need to try the lid! I didn’t think of that! 😂
