If you want my opinion, i think pharmacists are heading to a point where the pharmacist job duties will be as much as a physician might do, that's atleast what's happening in alot of places like the UK for example where pharmacists now prescribe, diagnose and treat patients and also verify their medicine combinations
I think this makes alot of sense. Obviously the fresh off the street Techs that I work with couldn't do this BUT the techs who have been in the field for YEARS are no worse at proofreading than me. Pay senior techs more THEN reduce the pharmacist drudgery to do more clinical tasks. BUT the clinical MUST MUST MUST be backed up by senior techs FIRST. Where I am now, in Colorado Pharmacists can write prescriptions and act as mid-level providers for select conditions. HOWEVER there is no way I feel comfortable stepping out of the pharmacy to do this if I don't trust my techs to handle the pharmacy for 30 minutes.
Great points here. IF we can standardize higher tech responsibilities, then the pharmacist could theoretically gain more time to pursue clinical responsibilities. But at the end of the day, everyone is overloaded right now.

Great video, its human nature to be afraid of change but change is good👍
and painful at times!
