Compounding allows us to blend old school pharmacy with new school technology to make customized medication specifically based on an individual patient.
Though commercially available medication works for many patients, some patients don't respond well to medication that has allergens (i.e., dyes, gluten) and others do better with specific formulation and doses that aren't currently available.
This customized approach of talking with you and your doctor allows us to get to know our patients extremely well and provide positive health outcomes, as described in this video.
As we discussed, this customized process puts a great amount of responsibility on us as compounders to make sure our formulations are safe. We not only follow all state and federal guidelines, but also do our own independent third party testing to validate our quality control protocols.
