You should definitely check out the car free day which only happens every sunday. Just go to bundaran HI, and there you'll met a lot of people, street food vendors, and no vehicles at all, because on that day all vehicles are not allowed to go to certain streets in Jakarta

Bakso is basically a comfort food for most Indonesian. And the reason you thought it tasted quite similar with Indomie goreng is the soy sauce since you put much of it in the broth.

The black liquid sauce beside cabe (chilli sauce) when you ate bakso is called kecap. It was made from the blended crushed soybean seeds, it is sweet and usually matched with bakso or absolutely in indomie which you can found in any indomart or alfamart around the streets :)

The black liquid sauce beside cabe (chilli sauce) when you ate bakso is called kecap. It was made from the blended crushed soybean seeds, it is sweet and usually matched with bakso or absolutely in indomie which you can found in any indomart or alfamart around the streets :)
