In this video, I'll share my best tips on how to make your guests comfortable, with some examples from my birthday celebration. Offering nice snacks, homemade bread, olives, pickles, something nice to drink - and also being aware of your guests comforts and that not everyone is comfortable in social settings, are some of the things I would say make a good ghost.
Fun fact: The bread didn't turn out great, but that's alright.

best party activity i’ve ever participated in: everyone gets a strip of paper & writes down a short phrase across the top. then the papers are passed around the circle to the person next to you. everyone silently reads the paper that was passed to them & draws a little picture underneath that depicts what the other person wrote (advanced artistic ability not required). then everyone folds the paper over so that the words are hidden. papers are passed again in the same direction (away from their origin) & this time you have to look at the picture & write a caption that describes it. paper gets folded to hide the picture & passed yet again. repeat those steps until the paper you started with makes its way around the circle & back to you. then you get to unfold the paper & see how twisted your original concept got as it was interpreted back & forth from words to pictures. afterwards everyone can go around & share theirs with the group. it is so fun & so funny. i believe this is a variation of the ‘exquisite corpse’ game popular among surrealist artists going back to the 1920s

What a sweet video with great tips! I host friends frequently in a small apartment and know how important it is to make sure folks feel included. (I’ve been on the other end of that and it’s kind of traumatizing to be left alone amongst strangers at a party!). I love the actionable tip of introducing strangers with a tidbit they would have in common. Also, happy belated birthday! 💖🎉

I like when there’s space for everyone at the party. I’ve been to parties where there were way too many people for the space, parking was chaotic and everyone was pretty much standing elbow to elbow 😂.
