With High honor Arthur just accepted that he's a bad man but he tries to do the right thing before he dies unlike low honor where he can't let go his past, or he doesn't feel like he can even try to change.

I thought the high honour version was with sister cauldron and low honour with reverend - I suppose in all my play throughs I always completed the sisters mission line

Something went terribly wrong if you didn’t get the sister cutscene in this moment. One of the greatest video gaming scenes of all time in my humble opinion.
On my first playthrough for some reason i didn’t do side missions, but i still got the high honor ending so at least that’s good. But on all my other playthroughs i did them

You only get Sister Calderon if you have high honor and completed the side mission “of men and angels” otherwise if you have low honor or didn’t complete the side mission you get Swanson.
Absolutely adore rdr2 especially in the beginning but when you hit that point in the game where most of the gang is either dead or leaving and Arthur becomes visibly ill I always find it hard to play and it really does a good job of making you feel like the end is coming. It’s such a gripping game and I’m glad that they included a long epilogue to help digest and reset from the end of Arthur’s story. Such a masterpiece.

I always thought low honor makes a better story, Arthur tries to change but in the end he is who he is but even as a bad man he loves John like a little brother and does everything he can to protect him and his family
Nah high honor is definitely better. Shows that Arthur is a good man in a bad position, his sins are to protect the family he loves even if he knows that it's at the detriment of others

For sure low honor dialogues just hit different, just play low honor the whole game and then build up your honor to high just before the end, that’s how you get the perfect redemption arc

When you finish all the debts mission and you kick Strauss out there's a different cutscene when you have low honor and high honor. If you have low honor Arthur will call the people losers and if you have high honor Arthur will be mad at Strauss for going giving the group a bad reputation
I wish in the future you could decide the fate of everyone in different ways in games like gta and rdr by either being a total villain or a hero and a good samaritan. Meaning you could be violent and sadistic towards characters in your own way or helpful and kind.
When I first played the game, I was almost completely low honor but once I heard he had TB the way I played changed completely so instead of the wolf cutscenes near the very end of the game I saw the good side of things. Like if you know what animal you see.
On my first play through I was an asshole and got low honor and I noticed as the game went on Arthur looked more and more sick so when I restarted the play through I thought by having high honor it would help with Arthur’s sickness but even tho I maxed it out just to see Arthur still look like shit and think horribly about himself spoke volumes of his character and made the ending hit 10x more when I beat it the second time

When he leaves and where he goes is literally unimportant in Arthur’s story. If you honestly think the low honor cutscene is better, you’re an ape. Rockstar reserved the better, intended story line for people who were thorough and did the stranger missions, and played high honor.

Got tired of AI getting in the way and aired out an entire town, first ending I got was Low Honor (first game I ever cried over) so went back and got the High Honor ending outa respect for Arthur (and to mainly stick it to the BS of the first play through)
You can get Swanson's cutscene even in High honor. Just skip the nun missions then boom you get his cutscene. Trust me I played the game so many times that I forgot how many times I played it.

I still regret not doing the side missions on my first playthrough as the cutscene with Sister Calderon is one of the best in the entire game.
I knew the gang was falling apart once I heard that Reverend STOPPED DRINKING.
All the things he’s done weighs on him more in high honor, you can hear how hesitant and precise in what he wants to say and portray

The nun’s side quest is essential. The fact that it essentially unlocks the game’s best scene/moment is wild.
