Hi everyone! In this quick tutorial, I am going to show how to use the curve's animation "Start & End" to create a slash that goes from one side to the other. Then, I will teach how to apply a material to the curve and make it to dissolve gradually.

at 1:10 i delete the principled BSDF but nothing changes with the plate. (yours turns pitch black, mine doesn't) i tried continuing anyways, but as the modifiers begin to change the plate's material, mine did absolutely nothing. i'm new to blender, so is this something you toggle on or off? i'm confused.
Hai. Thank for you video. But i get trouble when render it using cycle. The animation not dissapeared like in eevee mode. Its still appear when the frame end.
hey there! I think the effect will only work properly in Eevee. I haven't even tested it in Cycles, because the transparency properties work differently in that mode.
how do you extrude in 3.4? i cant even find "geometry" and it shows a diff. button

Hi! no plugin was used in this tutorial. I only used the addon "Node wrangler" to acess the shortcuts of the shader editor

Sure, you can export the animation as png frames or even better, you can use the 3d model with the attatched textures

@@Life-bh2lk since it is a procedural texture, it was meant to be used inside Blender itself. But there are some ways t export the isolated texture , ofr example, as a PNG file, and then import it into Unity/Godot/Unreal. But in all these latforms, there are many other ways to create textures and effects and some of them are even easier than Blender.
