SATO's works do not emphasize stoicism. Chefs appreciate his work because glassware evokes a quiet passion.
In his 30s, SATO took a leap of faith and changed his career to the path of glass. He gained experience at a stained glass production company and a glass workshop in Germany before becoming independent.
This year, he moved his workshop to YASE, where he can get inspiration in a more natural environment, and is producing various works with advanced skills.
SATO aims to create glass that matches the culture and climate of Japan. Recently, he has also started taking orders for Japanese tea utensils.
He has a novel idea of harmonizing old objects and glass. This video introduces the activities of SATO, who is challenging a new stage.
