March '20 - still watching this show - so underrated. Fingers crossed for DCI summer... so far, so good... but ya never know - crazy times. Manline was epic in '16...
@@sasquatchlil4173 so demoralizing... this would be the weekend of the Rose Bowl & So-Cal shows... sux. Thankful for awesome youtube dci content -- Cadets come strong with it! Watching this incredible show again this morning.... 2021 will be that much more special.
Considering they won the music caption just a week before finals going against all top 6 corps, yeah. Should've been 2nd at worst in brass and percussion.
epic unintentional stick toss during the singles you can hear him shit out the reentry, then eventually get back in the sound. very mature of him to keep playing I love this line
start 4:58 right side of the snareline 1 from the end, he gets back in at the single 5's, and you can hear the first 3 of em tick then he locks back in. notice how everyone else around him doesn't get affected by it, they gave him a place to come back to. these guys are taught very well
I don’t know if this was intentional or not but, at 4:28 the front ensemble acts like a metronome. This was probably really useful when getting audial alignment at the press box.
July 28th ' 20 - absence of DCI season really, really blows... but that end section w/ the Manline in the ballad... it helps...some... @7:50 sucker for those splits...
Show title was "Awakening". First section is movement four from Pines of Rome "Appian Way". Second section of the opener is the first movement from the same piece "Villa Borghese". Ballad section is and original piece by John Mackey titled "Turning". Closer/drum break is the fourth movement of "Wine-Dark Sea" also by Mackey, but then morphs into a recap of the show finishing on the original "Appian Way" motif.
It's interesting how left brained and detail oriented many of the shows seem this year, which corresponds to how the championships are taking place with venus in virgo.
Classic Cadets, for sure a underrated show.
4:58 AWESOME recovery from the snare in front of bass 3
How even lol 👏🏽
Mikey G!
he's the center snare now

So cool!!!!!
I play marting in Japan.
I love marting!!
I watch this video(other too)every day.
can't stop watching this!!!! I LOVE CADETS SO MUCH PLEASE COME BACK IN '25
Oof
🥺😔
Is it just me, or does the hornline sound much better than a "6th place at finals night" hornline?
Hornline and Percussion were Waayyyyyy better than 6th, the judges were so biased against them finals night...smh

that shouldn't have happened, and also didn't.
Best show of 2016 imo.
This is a badass show performed by some badass kids.

you obviously missed the point. have a seat guy
I need for the Cadets to be back in the top three next year! #MissYouThere

This is some of the best audio of drum corps on youtube
I love that opening hit! It really gives me the chills! 2:00 too!!!
Opening horn yell is my alarm😆
Vic Firth social media game hella strong
Yes Cadets! Now release the snare cam of them!!!
Oh don't worry. We had 12 cameras. Including a 360 cam on the center tenor! We'll have much more coming soon!
You gotta admit that this separate marching channel is awesome
10:44 Props to her for getting right back into it
OMG😭
Does anyone have the updated snare part for Villa Borghese?
great footage! give us more!!!
and here i am being sad that my best friend will be here next year and not in high school anymore :(
Why did the Cadets get rid of the stage in the front?
I asked myself the same thing! I guess Hop wanted room for the prop statues you can see.
Just an incredible beast of a battery!
Amazing! But why 6th this year?
terrible show design
it's like 91, horrible show, great marching and playing
What I don't get is why they are also 6th in Brass and Percussion, they are clearly MUCH better than that...
Honestly, I though it deserved to be above Cavs because of the music. I just felt more moved by the Cadets performance.

The electric violin at the beginning kills me every time
This is a really dumb question, but does anyone know the theme to this show and the songs that were played?

I thought I heard some Lightning Field in there tbh.
Donald Gray Thank you!

Cadets have been right foot lead forever.
You're all stupid. You're muted.

honestly should have been outranked blue devils in my opinion. much more interesting to me

Director is trash. Music staff resigns as well gg Cadets.
Director has won more DCI titles than any other corps besides the Blue Devils under his tenure so the allegation that he's trash is pretty flimsy.
He's not trash, but he's not leading the corps in the right direction in terms of design
Well now we all know he's really trash
@@Prof.CheeseDog lolololol yeah this didn't age well
