TECHNICAL CONSIDERATIONS
ABRSM’s recommended tempo for this piece is 108 bpm.
The sustain pedal marking at the beginning seems a little excessive, but it is optional. (see footnotes)
A generally legato (smooth) touch is preferable, along with an awareness of contrasting dynamics. There are some occasional staccato notes to be aware of, such as in bar 6 etc..
A steady tempo is important to maintain throughout, but watch out for the rit. (slowing down) at the end of bar 16 onwards.
