3 they listen to outsiders more than their heart. Overthinker the worst case instead of best case. They want but didnt put the effort. Pretty much self sabotage. Doesnt communicate but when they do its pointless they only see their side and gets defensive when truth is spoken.
Yup! Exactly what I'm experiencing with my connection. She is currently living in an illusion, a beautiful fantasy which is far from the cold hard reality. Everytime I try to make her see reality and point out her self destructive behaviour, dishonesty to herself and me, she gets defensive. It's like I'm pouring my energy into a bottomless pit. I tried because I care but that's over now, no more fruitless efforts. During our last argument she said she doesn't want me to get involved anymore and to stop thinking about what can be better for her. I know she said it out of despair because I was dragging her out of her comforting little bubble but I don't play those games, I called her bluff. I actually was glad she said that because now I can fully focus on myself again without all the irritation from her behaviour. She quickly turned around her decision but I stand my ground and she is really not happy with that. But I want a healthy distance between us for now so that I can work on myself, heal some wounds so her dishonest and corrupt behaviour doesn't bother me that much anymore. Until then I want as little contact as possible.

It’s tragic when you show kindness and love to a person and they don’t appreciate it until it’s gone. Loving someone who doesn’t love you back can hurt but it hurts the person who isn’t loving you back the most because that person will keep losing good people in their lives.

In the past he kept acting like he wants me just to change to 180 degress the next day and act like I am imagining things. Basically everyone was good enough for him, everyone was better than me and he basically kept me around with that attitude like I am not enough and he doesn't care that much, but now I know it is his personal issues and I am not the problem here.

#3 - I am now 29. I met my ex when I was 18, we started dating when I was 19. It was the most beautiful romance I could ever imagine. How do you know when it's their feelings you are feeling or just yours? I had thought of this question again a few weeks ago. I was with my family and we were watching a movie. I picked pile 3 and wow. My situationship pretty much called it off today. He wanted to meet in person to talk about things and it didn’t go as expected. I was so upset that I was throwing up for a good 10 minutes straight after the fact. He’s extremely guarded and even when I pointed his shadow self out by letting him know that I know he’s wearing a mask, he basically said he was going to be more quiet around me so I couldn’t pick up on his true feelings.
