The essential nature of Dharma Arts is the same as our Buddha Nature. Dharma Arts occur when we are one with nature, and one with our Buddha Nature. There is a sudden awakening. We are struck by the wonder of awakening. We suddenly see the beauty and mystery that always surrounds us. Suddenly we see with unfiltered eyes. They emerge in various settings…watching Merce Cunningham’s Dance Company perform, really listening to a Bach cantata, reading a passage in Walden by Thoreau. We are touched in a particular way and we delight!
