former Nazi Ordensburg Vogelsang in the Eifel National Park

We hiked from the ghost village of Wollseifen in the Eifel National Park about 3 km across fields and through a forest to the former Nazi Ordensburg Vogelsang. We parked at the Walberhof hiking car park at the entrance to the former Belgian barracks Vogelsang. If you want to visit Vogelsang, you can also drive directly there through the former barracks.
On our way from below through the castle complex you can experience the real size of the terraced complex. Vogelsang lies above the Urfttalsperre on the edge of the North West Eifel. From the late 1930s, the NSDAP's junior leaders were trained in the former NS Ordensburg Vogelsang. After the war, the barracks were used by the British military government and later by NATO. There are still some indications of the former Belgian "operator".

genau, es war alles sehr ruhig. schau mal ob da nicht ggf. Naturschutzgebiet ist, ansonsten sollte es ja ok sein, dort zu fliegen...
