Top video my friend, I actually stayed at Ordensburg Vogelsang in the 1980'. It was very much authentic and now its changed a bit. My stay was amazing and unforgettable. There are stories about Vogelsang Kaserne which have never been told but they are right out in the open for all to see, if you look closer!

Great video again. Did you film anything inside the buildings? Would have been great if you did a longer video. Cheers

Thank you Magnus! Inside Vogelsang is difficult to film as areas are either locked or restricted. There is a cafe but then people are inside and I try to respect their privacy indoors. I would also prefer longer videos Magnus but the general RUclips stats show that any longer than 5-6 minutes and people will leave the video - so I try for the majority of the films to not make them too long. In the 2023 series they will be much longer and with more personal content and reflection so a bit of a change is coming.

@@KlovekorntheRelicHunter I do understand the privacy. Is anything left inside at it was during the war? Maybe impossible to tell. I had no idea about the YT video stats. I am looking forward to them also. Thanks Henning

Those murals on the walls? That is the Flemish Lion is it not? Why are they there? Regardless I find this most interesting because of the guy I told you about prior to this in a seperate post 'Vogel' except he is a ......Vogellini...... I think.... Italian guy...... just kidding... that was a joke he told me once; he has an Italian wife. Vogel, he told me about the meaning of his name once as well 'birdsong' is how he defined it and it wasn't much more of a topic of conversation beyond that... we used to chat about that kind of stuff as we spent a lot of time in the truck together and when we weren't listening to Howard Stern we would just chat... I find it interesting that this school of prominence in Nazi Germany is likely founded prior to that by one of his relatives.... It does not surprise me if that is the case, as I mentioned he is a carpenter by trade and profession; and be it through his education, experience or his genetic ingenuity he is probably the best overall carpenter/stone mason that I personally know. I don't believe he was aware of this places association with Nazi Germany, nor do I think he is a neo-nazi... and if he is aware of it, he never made mention of that to me .....one of the nicest guys I know as well..... I especially look forward to reading about this location specifically my friend. Thank you again.
Oh and b.t.w. I checked out your friend Tino Struckmann's page, he does have some very interesting films in his collection, and I've watched one on Riese's 'witch mountain' thus far.
    until next time,
    Chuck
