My dad was a big influence on me getting into heavy music. He used to listen to Metallica, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, and other classics when I was a kid. The extreme metal was a bit much for him. Rotting Christ is the one band he mentioned he liked as I was listening in the car. He said he would be tripping out to the songs, going on a sensory journey. Even asked for me to make him a playlist. That was a nice father and son bonding moment.

I grew up in a similar way, through my dad I got introduced to bands like black sabbath, faith no more, pink Floyd and I branched off to bands like Metallica and what not

I listen to metal with my kids everyday, to watch em rock out and handbang is awesome. Got an awesome dad kid
The only band my dad got into was lamb of god and he is die hard catholic. He even liked the documentary about Randy. My dad is 73. The hardest he would go was led zeppelin
