Delivering you the statistics: Sakis uses in this album the word "fire" 43 times, 45 counting the song titles, in average 4,5 times per song. (Not counting possible uses of the meaning "fire" in greek or other languages I'm not able to understand, not counting bonus tracks). The only songs not referencing this term in english are "I Believe" and "the Voice of the universe", the ones using it the most are "Heaven, Hell and Fire" and "Hallow be thy name" with each 11 references. Some of the better Black Metal albums are concept albums.. imo If you like this you'd definitely enjoy Swallow the Sun, White Ward, Magoth, Beltez, Mesarthim, Pure Wrath & Nargaroth just to name a few. I agree it's a stretch but with all of the Black Metal Sub-Genres that have popped up I think this definitely constitutes as a Sub-Sub-Genre of Black Metal. RC also popular here in our country in 90s era where their first two albums "thy mighty contract" and "non-serviam" really hits the underground scene. Fire ,God and Fear is my favorite from this album, the melody, rhythm in it, and that solo is what made it great for me, wish it was a bit longer with the guitar solo.
This leaves me speechless...Thank You for this album and Thank Your for my man who passed away suddenly, we've seen you live at Paris few times, all those times were excellent, really. Continue the good work ;)
His melding of Black and Death has always been brilliant, but I'm also a HUGE fan of the rock n roll licks he's adding into this album. Sakis is my fave all-rounder in metal.

I have been listening to Rotting Christ for about 18-19 years and I have not found a song that disappoints me, I have songs that I love and could sit here and sing at the top of my lungs and there are some that I see as good, just not the ones that excite me the most. When I first heard in the name of God sitting here now and I smiled and said ''you fucking greeks have yet to disappoint me, amazing!"

πιστοί σ'αυτό που ξεκίνησαν πριν πολλά χρόνια,
δυναμώνοντας μέσα απο τις δυσκολίες
και κλείνοντας τα αυτιά στο κάλεσμα των Σειρηνων.
Είναι ξεκάθαρο,το οτι η μπάντα έχει δουλέψει πάρα πολύ,
για να αποδώσει την έμπνευση, τις ιδέες και να παρουσιάσει
αυτό το αποτέλεσμα με την καλύτερη παραγωγή.
Το θέμα του δίσκου αναφερεται σε ανθρώπους αιρετικούς στην εποχή τους.
στο μεγαλύτερο βαθμό του κινείται σε mid tempo ρυθμούς,
εγώ προσωπικά, νομίζω οτι σ'αυτό οφείλεται και η ατμόσφαιρα που σε καθοδηγεί
ώστε να εισέλθεις στα σκοτεινά μονοπάτια, όλων αυτών που πραγματεύεται ο δίσκος.
Οι πολλες ακροάσεις, κρίνονται απαραίτητες, λόγω της δομής του
ώστε να αντιληφθείς
την άρρηκτη σύνδεση ανάμεσα στα πολυεπίπεδα φωνητικά :
χορωδία, εμβόλιμες απαγγελίες, ακραία και την μουσική τους.
Το αποτέλεσμα είναι ατμοσφαιρικό, σκοτεινό,
κεντρίζει το ενδιαφέρον, αρχικά
και μετά απο πολλές ακροάσεις αποκαλύπτεται στο σύνολό του
και στέκετε μπροστά σου περήφανα.

Yea this is fucking great! Some of the better Black Metal albums are concept albums.. imo If you like this you'd definitely enjoy Swallow the Sun, White Ward, Magoth, Beltez, Mesarthim, Pure Wrath & Nargaroth just to name a few. That new Swallow the Sun album is so fucking fantastic. And Nargaroth has been making albums for years. This one from 2017 is especially great.

I agree it's a stretch but with all of the Black Metal Sub-Genres that have popped up I think this definitely constitutes as a Sub-Sub-Genre of Black Metal. Maybe Blackened Greek Metal might be a better way to describe it? Obviously it's not 'True Black Metal' but I don't think anyone is calling them that that actually knows what they are talking about.
Change of identity to their music just means they are trying new things or have slightly altered taste,they once again produced a glorious album with great pieces,all hail Rotting Christ!!Non Serviam!!!

They are back again! RC is a big name in the extreme metal scene. RC also popular here in our country in 90s era where their first two albums "thy mighty contract" and "non-serviam" really hits the underground scene. RC such a great platform for most newcomer blackened bands that time. They sounds quite far different now but this pioneer veterans Greek blackened metal band is always have huge respect from us! Fire ,God and Fear is my favorite from this album, the melody, rhythm in it, and that solo is what made it great for me, wish it was a bit longer with the guitar solo.
This leaves me speechless...Thank You for this album and Thank Your for my man who passed away suddenly, we've seen you live at Paris few times, all those times were excellent, really. Continue the good work ;)
