I FINALLY Went to my Top Bucket List Site! Digging the Fossil Fish Motherlode in Kemmerer, Wyoming!

- In this one, we go to a spot that's been on the top of my bucket list for a LONG time, The Green River formation of Kemmerer Wyoming! We spent 8 hours straight splitting rocks and came away with an AMAZING amount of top quality fossil fish of all shapes and sizes! The density of the fossils was just astounding! It was almost like every other rock would yield something amazing! I can say with confidence that I am now thoroughly addicted and will make sure to come back soon! As a fossil fanatic, the preservation on these specimens is simply on another level! We didn't have time in this one, and there is enough work to warrant being its own video, so make sure to keep your eyes out for an upcoming video where we will prep all of these outstanding specimens! If you find yourself in Kemmerer and trying to decide which dig to go with, I would highly recommend American Fossil! They were kind, incredibly helpful, and had a bounty of incredible finds! I hope you all enjoy this one, and I will have another one out soon!

Old disabled house bound dusty rusty rockhound here: Congratulations on your bucket list achievement!! You're there representing all of us rockhounding crust crawlers! Gorgeous finds! Safe journeys dude!
Bruh… your unabashed joy at finding rocks warms my heart during a tough year. Keep doing you dude ❤
Nice! One of my rockhound friends spends his summers in those quarries, splitting rocks, and then he spends the winters at his sandblasting bench, preparing the fossils for sale. He takes them to Tucson, and usually sells everything he has.
He's entertaining in winter, since everything in his workspace gets covered in white dust from all the sandblasting, even though the sandblasting workbench is sealed, in theory. When he stopped by my shop to visit, he was usually covered in white dust, a bit like the "pigpen" character in the Charlie Brown cartoons. 😊
Oh man! This is definitely one on my list as well I can't wait to make it out there one day.
I am so jealous, that looks like a blast.
Awesome!! See you at the show!
Oh wow. Absolutely fantastic finds. Well done.
Wow. Now Kemmerer is now on my bucket list. Thanks.
Your a ROCKstar!!! Have a great show Theo
Incredible!!! Lucky people at the convention.
You rocked it, so many fish!!!! Super fun to watch you guys finding, thanks for taking us all to the quarry (next time we'll be there with ya!). It was fun to come back from there and have your video to watch! I think we need to do the big ticket thing like you did next time. Can't beat all the fishy goodness, you'll be busy for a while. Cheers!
Your joy is contagious! It was fun watching you open the rocks.... almost better than Christmas!
Touch cool fossils! And what a haul!! I know you’re going to find that stingray, keep digging!
How wonderful for you! You were able to do something you dreamed of for a long time. And you shared the experience. Thanks.

I took my kids there. We had a blast! A young kid found a stingray while we were there. We loaded my truck full
Hope you do well at the gem show man!
Very nice Advernture. About 2 weeks ago We were also treated to that site by The Crstal Collector and a Group of Hounds. Both Videos are Epic. Maybe one day we Disabled Seniors and our Son(Tetraplegic) be able to travel there.
Good thing you and Kyle can still be friends. That could've made the podcast rather tense.
Those are cool😊
Such cool finds!! Can’t wait for you to prep these fish! If I were there I’d want to win the iris even though the fossils are pretty cool!
were on were on were on hahaha wooooo
For real! Meetup here next year! I'm like the only one who didn't go this year
Dude those fish are amazing I would love Togo there you found a lot of cool fish to bad that wasn't a stingray that would of been cool
I've always wanted to go out rockhounding. Never have had the chance. 😢 same with fossils. If I could find someone to go with?! Omg!
Amen❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊
These finds would be indicative of rapid burial in sand. It's as if the water was instantly gone and replaced by sand. It must have been a catastrophic!
Must you split rocks there? I'd be spending the 8 hours loading a trailer and vehicle with 5 or 6 tons depending on the road, maybe more. I couldn't hammer that long in a stretch and still be able to drive home anyway.
Wow awesome fossils, if you don't mind me asking how much does it cost to dig there?
How do you prep these? Thanks
Are these found anywhere else in the world?
at 15:19 does that look like a stingray??
Catching fish with a hammer and chizzle no worms or anything I've been doing it wrong for all these years
Nothing but pure evidence of a global flood ❤
No.
@@ZiggityPow millions of dead things buried under mud and rock layers: absolutely none decomposed and absolutely none with parasites. I've researched this subject extensively and absolutely do not believe the million/billion years narrative.
I am debating American vs Safari. I like the you can keep what you find @ American vs I’d I find something fantastic and they say nice & rare…we keep it @ Safari 😒
Very interesting. I would loved to had one on my wall
So fun, to watch you. Like a kid in a candy store. So glad you share all of your adventures. Thank you. Hope to see at the Gem and Mineral show, today.
You must have brought home a literal ton of stuff. ❤🪨❤
