I love every single version of esaka. It sounds really good and very fitting for Kyo, I think. It has a hero feeling to it. Sounds like true tournament music. If I were to turn on the tv to watch KOF live in battle, any version of esaka would truly represent Kyo.

I played this game in the arcades back in 96. I was only five years old. Darkstalkers was my first fighter but my favorite game was kof 94 because of it's soundtrack.

This was organic, filled with art intentionality. I wonder what did happen to the creatives behind these concepts (until '96 you can see its the work of certain producing teams)

@Neofcon at least that is true. if Iori can have different sounding songs then why can't the main friggin character of the game can't? I thought when SNK wrote the song Goodbye Esaka i thought it would be finished...but yet..you still hear the 96 version in the Japan team's themes (we will discount 2001 here)
@Neofcon Yeah, 2001, is a memory we would ALL want to foget...because Iori much less everyone's theme except for the boss' = FAIL! Iori's themes all have a distinct sound to them and all are different mixes instead of remixes of the same song over again like Terry and Kyo's....
@ElodyTamTam Well, regarding to SS... 3 is also filled with art... and the remade all the sprites so it was really good... the bad part is the lack of a decent story. SS4, from my perspective is the best when it comes to game system... but we didnt get the same art-concept quality, tho i like the dark, intense and strong atmosphere... the playmore versions are just terrible. KOF 97 is so bad in graphic design... not to say when there's no BGM, that's sucks!
@Neofcon I mean Esaka 96 was good but it's heavily overrated. I want to hear a 94 remix so badly since we only had of em. 95 and 98. This theme sounds more intense for the Japan Team
