You are the best instructor. U explain the detail no instructor explained to me before . Thanks and keep making great videos❤❤
"Did I scare ya?" I love the way you give explanations. You are the perfect instructor. I have never seen anyone speaking English so clear. Thank you.
Wow, thank you!!!!!
She's as good as it gets on RUclips..her communication skills are excellent. (Doesn't hurt she and I both use the same 30 year old poles down to the mismatched baskets!!)
I have just discovered Deb's ski videos yesterday. Wow, these are extremely helpful! I am very much looking forward to improving my skiing. Thank you, Deb!!!
I just found your videos trying to find some videos to help my kids improve parallel turns. I started skiing in my 40s. I used to send my husband and kids to go do crazy skiing and then well one time I joined. Now I am hooked, love it. I just wish we could get some snow in the midwest.
Going in feb cant wait thank deb been watching you from day one 4years in now only 10day a year but getting there now lol thanks mark and family
Just went skiing for the first time this season and was working on my "Whirlybirds" because of this video. Almost got them figured out Coach Deb, thank you!!! Next time out I will have them locked in.
Great instruction, great skiing and not too 'darn wordy'! Love it, keep them coming please.
Your videos are just great and helpful. The audience has to say THANK YOU.
I have been skiing 55 years! I been an instructor and on the ski patrol. i can tell by your skiing you have put alot of profesional milage on the old boards as well. Great video and love the back drop of the old skis for the 70 and 80s
Another great video Deb! Can't tell you how much you've helped this GA boy get the most out of his trips out West!
Thank You!
Thank you, Deb! Im full of energy after watching your videos. Very informative and happy content. Cant wait to check this drills!
Great stuff as usual Deb! You're clear, all makes sense for both instructor and guest, and BIG FUN! That's your brand! THANKS! :)
Been watching your films for a few years now which and really appreciate the unpretentious and clear way you explain everything! I've been skiing for 40 years and long ago realised that there is always more to learn and be better at and films like yours are great places to get new ideas and drills. Also been handy with my daughter who raced up until U12 but now just likes to have fun skiing over the whole mountain. Great videos, thanks for sharing!
Thanks for another great video. I like many other it seems get so much from your teaching!! I think for the most part it is the way you get the point across it's easy to understand. Regarding more videos, for me skiing powder on regular skis. I must have worn your old video out with the kids skiing powder so please more power. Keep up the great work.
Ha ha Deb! I heard those edges before you mentioned it!
Perfect for my terrain , Vermont!
Good early season drills !
Thanks
Love the Skate .
I do that all year ! It’s a keeper for so many reasons
The BEST virtual ski instructor by far
Thank you!!!!!
Love your videos! Thanks for your clear instruction, visual demonstrations, and level accessible exercises. Your videos are a big part of my skiing growth. THANK YOU DEB!
I've skied four days in my life. Day five starts shortly. Your videos are SO helpful. I love your teaching style and how your personality come through. Thank you!
Man, I love that collection of old skis behind you. I think I've owned every pair of what's there plus a few more......that is other than the Kneissl White Star Racers.
I learn so much from your teaching! Thank you so much! I'm all the way out here in PA and can't wait to practice skills in fresh powder!
I found your coffee and ski series really helpful. First time I've really understood what's going on inside the boot. Thx.
I'd love to get some lessons from you but can't get over to the US so I'd love to see a series of "learn to ski" vids for us mortal recreational skiers.
Either way, keep them coming, I get a lot out of your vids. 👍👍
Lovely Deb, as always, as well the teaching skills 🤗! I love your videos, and this one about side slips, steering, backwards..speaking of backwards..(I pray, I pray I can get it this season)..are excellent drills, as you said "waking up de body". Please don't ever stop posting. Thanks again, and, no, you didn't scare us!🤗
Thank you for these videos Im a horrible skier, we are heading up to Timberline tomorrow on Mt.Hood.. These are helping me. Im nervous, but excited!! Im really digging your energy and patience! THANKS! :)
You are the best. Most underrated video on RUclips
Learning a lot from Debs videos. She is fantastic.
Yeah! Very true. The vast majority of clients needs a gentle induction. Most of them are overly cautious and as a result rigid. Thank you for sharing them drills. :)
superlative Deb, as usual. Thanks
Love watching your videos with my six year old daughter. She really shot up this year in hight and was very nervous first time out this year. Will try some of these exercises.
Love the videos!!! They have helped me tremendously as a new skier! Thank you!!!
I will try that exercise thanks Deb. Good warm up. My first trip this year I felt like regressed. Watching your videos so my trip to squaw valley is more fun
Thx, your videos are lovely,
not long a time ago I've descover them.
Thank you for the videos!!! Love love drills!
I freaking love that you are doing the youtube thing Deb. I'm good with anything. Grew up racing but I'm instructing at the moment and your instruction videos are super helpful! Maybe some bump skiing? Seems like a lost art. =)
Always enjoy your videos, Deb!
Love side slipping drills. Like to hear some discussion on ankle angulation and ski edging. Thanks Deb🤗
Great drills, lovely person. Thanks, Deb!
Great exercises to start the year or the day. Thanks Deb
sweet stuff Deb. Thank you for your passion. I share all the time to my group we have a race team and general club
Having fun watching your beginner teaching and your more advanced ones too. Hope we can ski together again at the next Academy.
So glad I found your channel. Thanks for sharing your talents. Going to hill to correct some poor techniques that I’ve developed.
You have the perfect snow for this exercise !
Love these exercises!
Deb's videos are amazing. User friendly yet technically sound. She's always having fun out there...well what's the point in skiing if it's no fun,
You are the best / I love watching and learning from you! I’d welcome a video for drills needed to be able to ski trees. Keep doing this amazing work you do. :)
We watch because you’re awesome and your stoke lvl is always at 11. Plus you know what your talking about. I did not work on the hand on the head Wednesday- but did focus on big toe little toe. Tomorrow I’ll do some whirlybirds in your honor at Breck.
You are such a great teacher!
Hey there, Happy Thanksgiving, I appreciated this early season drill vid. Might have to try out those 360s.
Really enjoy these thanks
I am learning so much from your videos. Great training
This is really great! Hopefully I can go skiing soon.
Lots of great videos for beginners!
Thanks for the great videos! I am working on my level ll exam and find your drills extremely helpful.
I absolutely love your videos Deb! I have told my husband that you are a bucket list item for me. I am a very intrepid skier, not learning to ski until in my 50’s, then on my 6th time out I ruptured my ACL.
My husband is a great skier, and between his and my dad (in his 80’s and an amazing skier) have actually progressed to blue runs.
I love to be out there skiing and I watch your videos to get tips, knowing you have a compassionate understanding of newer skiers and the skill to transmit your knowledge of skiing.
This means a lot Tammy. Thank you. Maybe we will meet one day and make some turns😉
Love the videos, good work Deb! 👏
Thanks!!👍👍
Love your videos!!
Thx, skating is amazing also put pressure on the outside ski.👍
it's Abasin. I hope to see you sometime. Your videos are so helpful
You are awesome! I love watching your videos :-)
Man, she is awesome... I would love to spend a few days being taught to ski by her. I am average skier at best, struggle more so on powder, especially steep and very uneven terrain.
Thank you so much Deb, great videos! Just came back from weekend skiing and had such a bad time. Was never able to understand my young instructor. Was so frustrated. I’m learning now!
GREAT!!!!!
So good! Wish I was at A-Basin doing those with a group of kids!
So great that you mentioned about your skin care. I was recently waiting your video about your favourite ski spots, and I was actually wondering « what does this women use on her skin?? She skis everyday and has such great skin! » that’s no easy feat…. Skiing, dry air, cold weather, wind, sun, snow pellets hitting our faces etc… Thanks for mentioning it.
Hey Deb. . these are great. . i just found them. . good job putting all this together. .
Glad you found me!! Happy new year
Thank you Debbie
Really good. Thanks very much.
Go Deb. You're so good
You're an inspiration! My two young boys call you coach

Awesome!!!!!
Wow... you make it look so easy
Well, when someone has skied as long as I have I better make it look easy! All the best to you. Take good care. are you a skier? if so where?
Love that I need those skills
Hi Deb. big hug from Vietnam. Even there is no snow in my country, but i really love this sports. Hope my kids will have chance to study with you.

You are truly awesome and so inspirational;can’t thank you enough for your amazing videos. Steamboat is on my bucket list just to try and find you for at least a cuppa!
Thanks Sam!!!!
Thank you! I’m an untrained “intermediate” and I hope to have a coach as good as you some day. Oh, and MORE SILVER!!
So cool!!
Very helpful
Thanks for your videos from Ukraine
You're the best!
Great stuff. It would be wonderful to see many more skiers playing with such skis drills on the groomed runs, not just to see them actually having more fun. It would be a wonderful indicator that someone is actually ready for their next more difficult standard of run. "Can you do these on your current runs? Then you're ready to go up, and not have to snowplough all the way down (annoying almost everyone else) on the more difficult runs"
Agreed!
I used to take a basketball out to work with my team. We would have groups of five and the skier with the basketball had to spin around backwards pass the ball up hill to a teammate and then finish spinning around. After a while they got creative with the spins and passing. If someone dropped the ball the chase was also fun.
Hi Deb, Stumbled across your channel and loved this video.
Getting ready for my first trip of the season in the Italian dolomites tomorrow! Must try to work on my 'punter' technique rather than just bombing around like a loon :-)
Silver looks like gold!
Yes you did scare me lol I just came back from Colorado I was saw your Video there I want to come to Arizona to learn from you I am new to Ski
My old ski school director Seppi Oberthaler used to call the ankles the springbox!
nice
"Did I scare ya?" Yes! 🙈
Great videos. They answered questions that I have had for years (teaching for 50 years). BTW, I worked with both of your parents at the Beaver Run ski school pod in Breckenridge years back.
I have a question regarding boot flex. I understand the importance of ankle flex and dorsiflexion. However, I was never clear why some skiers - and especially racers - want stiff flexing boots that hinder ankle flex. Yet photos of racers in a turn show plenty of ankle flex. I understand that pressure on the front of the boot transmits to the shovel of the ski. However, some simple calculations indicate that it isn't much due to the long "lever" of the front of the ski in relation to the height of the boot, and that pressure is relatively small in comparison to the pressure on the ski due to centrifugal force. The main force on the front of the ski is due to one's body leaning forward of the bindings. Then what is the advantage of a stiff flexing boot? It seems that the small amount of pressure gained on the front of the ski is not worth the loss of ankle flex to obtain it. Thank you so much! All the Best! Doug Trieste
Hey Deb, you make skating with skis look way to easy! Lol.
Deb! all ways good video...............Help many people ........ even over see korean skiers they love you video
Greetings!!
Hi Deb. Interesting videos. Good info. I’m interested in your thoughts and ideas for warmup and drill routines that could/should be performed prior to a day on the mountain. I’m a little older now :-) and have learned that several runs on some easy blues are necessary to get the heart rate settled and the legs warmed up. I like to see your prescription for a good all-round warmup for all of us ‘experienced’ skiers. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experiences. Cheers!
good thought. Thank you
more videos on how to balance on ski
hi From Norway, u are great techer tx
Ohh tx u give heart 😍
I am still in ur chanell 😅 incredible haha i mean in 56 secondy.

Keep it up 😇
Nobody teach me skate on the slop firstly. Great 💡
Did I see a little Suzi Chapstick ballet moves there? Would love to see you incorporate using freestyle parks for skill building in ski racing someday
I have a park playlist on my youtube page. I have made a few park videos.
They are very good drills.Well done. I agree that the ankles must remain fluid and not in a fixed position. (Ha! Just try to find a modern boot that allows that ) However, for these drills, a better choice of terrain would be a "green" or low "Blue" . If you want to find an explanation of what the dynamics are involved for a side slip, look for a skiing manual by Dr. Twordorkins (Phd) circa 1960s and/or the FWSIA Ski Instructors Manual from the 1950s. They were published before computers were main stream so I doubt one would find them on the "Net". Olle Youngberg Cert. 1956 ( retired),
I thought I was the only coach doing the backward skiing drill. Want to have more fun do it in a gentle slalom course.
You have to do drills to build skills! Great demonstration as usual. I regard to your product choices which Blizzard Firebird model are you skiing? I am thinking of replacing my Blizzard X Power 810 Ti (167cm) with a Blizzard Firebird Race Ti in a 166 Cm or 172 Cm. At 71 years old I want a ski that works for me. I want a front side carving ski to work on my skills and technique. Please keep the informative and entertaining videos coming. 🙏⛷🎿

Silver is orange!! And white! That's funny. 😁
