One more thing - when coming back from a wild mining trip, don't go to unsecure systems that are really far into wild space, such as Alpha Yxkea for example. Pirates camp there so they can kill rare spice haulers and miners who probably have lots of ore in their inventory. Also, when trying to get around this issue, avoid wild systems that directly connect to secure systems such as Vlasium because pirates love those systems, Vlasium especially. If you're just looking for Gellium, Axnit, and a little bit of Narcor, I highly recommend unsecure mining, specifically in systems inside the 3 major factions. You can find ATs/ALs and sometimes even AAs in owned unsecure systems, but be careful - go to random systems not near wild space and have a connection to a secure system, so piracy is far less common and even if a player does enter the system you can easily warp to secure space.
tip: find WH anomalies in secure systems that lead to wild systems they can help u not go through dangerous unsecure and find hostile players camping between wild and secure systems. it saves alot of time and is the safest method to get into wild space in my opinion

I have been doing that kind of mining for months and it works like a charm. no one is scanning in secure systems because finding a wormhole in secure is very rare. But if you scan enough, you will get lucky, its only a matter of time and mostly all the secure wormholes I found go far into wild.
Is exploring the wild and finding x abberrations while in an ozark to mine in anomaly’s a good idea? That’s what I have been doing, wondering if I should just mine in anomaly’s, or if I should just explore with a stratos
Depends on how much you are going to be mining. If you are going to want to craft multiple high level ships, go for yukon, but if you just need a powerful miner for the occasional mining expedition, kodiak.

I love how since the game is sadly dying, the only worry about wild systems are drones and pirates that are easily avoided.

You can also mine in the rings. If they do not have any NPCs you can mine Narcore and Anxit. I have gotten 150 Narcore in a ring system once.

i also do that. a combination of exploring and mining in my kodiak. very effiecient in profits
How do I put the mining turret? I want to put it on but it won't let me, I already bought it but I can't figure out how to put it on
If you go to Edit ship you should be able to select the slot you want it to go too.
uh how to get tractor beam?
Its a point defense turret, every ship has at least one, so just locate it in the ship editor and it will be one of the four options.
