Her voice is so strong and stable.....if you didnt see her you wouldnt know she was an older lady.
Jean Shepard was practical no nonsense but she also was full of fun and had a great sense of humor!
What a great voice. A true ICON. She never abounded real country music. Jean Shepherd will live on through her music.

This is the first I've seen this video. Don't know how I missed it, but so grateful that it was posted! To of my favorites, Jean Sheppard and Eddie Stubbs! And cudos as well to Mr Jimmy and Ms Michelle! To greats in their own right! And they won't let Michelle sing in the Opry!?!? For the shame of it all!!

when i was a kid i went to church with her sister Naomi.She used to live where i live.Visalia,Ca. she gave me an autographed picture,her sister moved around the corner from us i was riding my bicycle and she came out and gave me a picture,i was about ten years old.
No other singer, had such clear voice lovely voice

My mom didn't like her, she was competition to her for my daddy's attention. But that was long ago n I must say she was a fine singer n pure country.
