I seem to head cannon that she actually was under a kind of house arrest; she was Twilight's pupil, not by choice, to teach her how to function in normal society and keep her on a short leash until her erroneous ideas were slowly educated away. As you see by this episode, she still had some old ways floating about that needed resolution. Even as a guidance counselor, you saw with Cozy Glow that old thinking, however slight, still floats about under that horn of hers. Therefore, she didn't necessarily get off without consequences, and I think this is better that she comes out better for it all instead of just throwing her into a dungeon and breaking one who, as we have seen, had the potential of being a good pony. (Let the flame wars commence!)
I love Aeon. He's like the king of comebacks. Every video I see him in he takes what others dish out, gives it an A rating and serves it back on a golden platter with a side of the victim's regret/irritation. I laughed so hard at his interactions. He's an awesome character and being. But I actually do agree with Aeon on the main point on Starlight. His mind might be as clean as a gas station bathroom, but he makes a valid point. Everyone has a darker side, or just a side to their personality that they dislike. But that can sometimes be useful given the situation. Im not saying that I implore negative or dirty behavior, Im saying dont be ashamed of it.
I'd just like to say this is one of your best "too seriously" videos yet imo. One of the main reasons why, is the whole discussion of manipulation, shadows, and free will. Even though my main hobbies are play Video Games and browse Internet all day, I often think about these things all the time. It makes me feel more aware of people and the world we live in, and it's very insightful. If I had to explain my shadow it's that I'm a sociopath when it comes to certain people. I was raised Christian so I love everyone and learn to forgive...but when I see someone who is beyond redeeming and a horrible person, I start to think...unpleasant thoughts. I never let those corrupt me though because my caring outweighs the suffering. To move on from that serious reason, another reason I like this more is because of no uneeded Slapstick. I'm never a fan of it anymore so other episodes just felt weird where it's "punish someone physically" and "shoot them from the cannon again". That's also why I don't watch the TF2 series cause there's a lot of it there. I just would rather watch people have fun and make jokes without having to do physical comedy. But these are just my opinions so I'd like to hear yours.
I'm a total fan of slapstick if it's done well and love TF2 but otherwise I completely agree. I like Josh, Dr. Wolf, Brawny, and Blissy because they promote Christian or at least Christian-esque values. It's also why Aeon gives me the wrong impression. I constantly get this creepy, mixed-signal vibe from the guy, and have to remind myself it's just him portraying a character, not who he really is behind the vector. But yes, he makes great points, about manipulation, about us having dark sides we'd rather do without, etc. I'd probably be TOO easy for him to mess with, but then again, I might give him a bit of his own medicine too. His manipulative, calculating, toying nature is reminiscent of my own shadow.
@@NoirRaven hey!!! That's unfair. He never said he Was. One, just has some tendences. Also thanks. I'm also ctistian. And while this doesn't happen. Mind manipulation is incredibly intresting and I love to see people explore this hard and subjective feild. It's quite intresting.
I think it rather normal, to have...unpleasant thoughts about someone being beyond irredeemably vile. To see them suffer, and face no mercy. People can change, some can and should be forgiven, but some "humans" just have a special place in Hell. Don't call yourself a Sociopath just yet, that's reaching too far. Having the capacity to act on evil, but acting against it is normal. Rarely are humans ever actually born good
I think my shadow is a cruel, hateful killer, I have dreams of that life sometimes, and even though I'm asleep, that life feels so real I remember the whole dream
Aeon's gig on his channel goes into Philosophy and other in depth subjects. He hasn't been able to create new content, but plans on it. His vice is procrastination, which he does mention (or was it laziness?).
He didn't even get shot out of the party howitzer o.o That is the most surprising part. Otherwise, great review! Aeon brought some interesting ideas and thoughts to the table, and I am sure that this is intentional, but he can be so....creepy for the lack of better words. Made my spine tingle at one point.
Two things: 1) I like how after this episode, Starlight never purposefully resorts to mind-magic again; any time it's occurred since is purely on accident. BEHOLD! CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT! Starlight really is learning her lessons, people! 2) I adore that crossed-out equal sign she keeps in her bedroom. It might just seem like a visual gag, but it's a lot more subtle than that. It's a constant self-reminder of how evil she was, and just how destructive her actions under that philosophy really were. That thing is most likely the last thing she sees before going to sleep, and the first thing she glances at upon waking up. The fact that she felt the need to put that thing up shows that she understands the dangers of mindsets like that one and also appreciates just how incredibly easy it is to fall into them. Worse yet, it indicates that she is terrified that she'll fall back into that way of thinking again, because of how easy it was for her to fall into it in the first place, and she feels the need to constantly remind herself of those dangers less she forget them and return to their embrace. ...Kinda shines a new light on those whole "She keeps talking about her past" complaints. She feels the subconscious compulsion to do it.
I don’t care what the haters say, Starlight Glimmer is my favorite character in the series. I love redemption arcs that actually show the redeemed character actually working to show they changed for the better and even showing that they will mess up because this is something they are not used to, but their desire is so genuine that you can’t really be mad at them. She is pretty much like Zuko in that regard. I also just love her design, the pastel colors and mane style are just so cute.
The reason for it: There is a contractual obligation of sending away the colaborator using the cannon [or some other equivalent force delivery method], after its said. -> Firebrand does not want any kind of "retribution" from Aeon later for doing that to him [regardless if he thinks it is a "favor for a favor" or an actual revenge].
Herman Cillo Yeah here is, Josh could've easily said something to affect of 'But I've accepted it. I can't take things somseriously' at the end with the dictator bit, and then just end it. That'd be jarring though. Or alternatively, he could've modified the line about not being in control in response to said guard's stupidity; changing it to so eyin like 'Not in control...don't take it too seriously'
Onyx the Dragon Eh, it might have worked. I am also an advocate for not always including a running gag, or varying it from time to time, just to keep the audience guessing.
@@VictoryFire88 I enjoy him for his dark and slightly off ness. His ability of manipulation intrige me because I've never seen anyone even close before
Seeing how both are good friends with Lightning Bliss and I know they have interacted in the past, I can't say I am too surprised, but yeah I was caught off guard myself.
Zodia195 Well aside being friends with Ari I can't say I know much about Josh's personal life other than what he has told. I do remember in a recent stream he said he "Cannot abide Cards Against Humanity". I have no idea as to why but I assumed it had something to do with his religion. Which if that's the case, something that small. I just figured he'd never work with Aeon due to him studying the occult. Which I grew up in a household with a very actively bible thumping mother. So I am familiar with how closed minded some Christians or those who call themselves "Christian" can be. But if they are such good friends than that is a plus. From this video alone it's easy to see Josh has great dynamics with Aeon just like he does with Thespio, Dr Wolf and of course Ari
Aeon brings a LOT of good philosophical thought to the table, though he does bring the perviness and "Blucifer" persona to the table too. Plus, I'm willing to bet that Aeon is willing to work with a collab partner if they want to keep the worst stuff Aeon can bring up out of the collab. I figure there has to be a reason he's liked by Lightning Bliss, FNGR, and given a gets with Firebrand. My guess is that he IS a reliable and good friend.
You'd be right Herman. Aeon is a very good and reliable friend, and more important, trustworthy. I am very close with him and he's one of a handful who I trust 100% since I've told him my deepest secrets. It helps that he's as open-minded as one can get.
7:26 *"For a tree's branches to reach Heaven, your roots must first touch Hell"* When I first heard this when I watched this video in middle school, I didn't think much of it. I'm almost 17 now and this phrase came back into my mind rent free. It made me realize, Aeon might be onto something. I'll go into it in a future video of my and use this phrase and the "Shadow" phrase in it, bc I don't think the comment section here wants to hear me comment ramble about religion and my own personal beliefs without taking up too much space. Other than that, I hope to see more FOB Equestria Episode Analogy videos again soon. Especially collabs like this. They really make you start thinking in a way about philosophy you'd never thought you'd ask yourself, and I absolutely freaking love it!

about the manipulation discussion, there is a clear difference between manipulating with words and magic. Manipulating with words ALWAYS gives the victim a choice. THey can chose to listen or not. With what STarlight did, there is no choice. The choice was literally ripped away from the mane six.
With verbal manipulation, it can depend. You might not even realise you're being manipulated. And even if you do realise, it may depend on who the person is to the victim. If they are someone that the victim deems to have any kind of power, they will follow through with what the manipulator wants them to do or risk humiliation, abuse or more manipulation until they give in. I've been on the receiving end of manipulation and I didn't have a lot of autonomy over my "choice" to listen or not. If I exercised my autonomy. I knew what was coming... More manipulation, potential abuse and emotional torment. I think it depends on if you are in a relationship with a narcissist or a psycho/sociopath. They are expert manipulators. In terms of manipulating with magic, they didn't have a choice in the matter either... But, they still had their core personality quirks break through it, like Rarity's "divine" comment. They still had some part of them that wasn't completely under Starlight's control.
11:47.... best face with those words. Ever... I'm laughing so hard right now also.... um... firebrand you don't have any either. Just your blazer. .. ahh man WORD CHOICE!!!!!
The best way i find to deal with people like Eon is to swallow you discomfort and steel yourself to the cringe. Be as perverse as well, play allow with them. Its either you collapse or they do.
It took me a while to warm up to Starlight because of how sloppy her reformation was but she’s now a pony I like I especially like the moment she had where she actually delighted and something that was devious that a student did but had to reel back because no we can’t encourage that
Yes, Twi and Starlight did do transfiguration, it's one of the foundational classes of magic. Turn one thing into another, as you said, that's what they did.
Oh god that moral discussion at the end _my head_ EDIT: Now that I have Persona 4 and 5 under my belt I’m morbidly curious as to what Brand’s palace would be
14:20 Actually, funny thing about that. Fear and other such aversions can lead to moral opposition. If you don't want to be subjected to something, chances are your empathy will kick in when you see it happen to someone else and tell you "this is wrong", provided you're not a socio/psychopath incapable of feeling empathy. That feeling of "this is wrong" is all it takes to build a moral opposition, even if it's one you can't explain very well.
I think Aeon would be fun at parties. Just please don't let him near Sapphy. And I agree on that Starlight is enjoyable because she's allowed to have a dark side. Makes a more whole character to me
Years have gone by and after a LOT of thinking about it, I think I have a proper rebuttal for Aeon's topic of manipulation, and it comes down to one thing... Deduction; The difference between "Magical" Manipulation, and a charismatic's manipulation is the fact you have control over your deduction. Even if someone knows you, knows the right words, and knows the right body language, YOU still have your previous experiences. You could potentially notice that something is amiss. Or in D&D terms, it'd be the equivalent of rolling Wisdom against a Charisma check/save. Deduction, despite all the charisma one may have, could theoretically not be something someone with all the charisma in the world can take into account. It's akin to how a friend can tell a person's lying after knowing them for years, whereas a parent cant tell despite knowing them even longer. Magic forcing manipulation would take the opporunity of deduction away. This was my thought process after what? 5 years, since this video's been made?
This is honestly the episode that made or broke people’s opinion on Starlight. I think Starlight clearly benefited from this mistake and I was interested to see what would happen next.
Awe. I was waiting for Ari to make Aeon eat a crucifix. She was giving him the "Oh no you did not" look. But to keep it family friendly, they faded to black while she ripped out and beat him with his own spine. Great editing.
the hard part about the pinkie pie cake baking scene is that you can barely tell if pinkie pie is doing the things she's doing because she's under mind control, or if its pinkie pie just being pinkie pie. Then again...it's pinkie pie....don't question it
2:20 I have a theory for this that is outlined fully in my first fanfic on Fimfiction (my Fimfiction name is the same as my RUclips name for anyone who wants to indulge me in my shameless self-promotion), but basically I think that unicorns leave behind a temporary magical mark when they teleport that another unicorn can follow if they are advanced enough with magic.
Great episode review ☺ I was both entertained and educated. The interactions between Firebrand and AeonOfDreams were quite amusing and I would want to see them do more reviews or of the sort together or with more people.
"Oh kinky." Yep yep I know that sound. That is the sound of Samantha's brain shattering. As for me never in my life have I heard someone respond that way to getting stabbed in neck with a crucifix. I like him. I don't know if it is the voice or what he was eluding to but I like him.
00:39 Oh no no no no. My friend Skylar has a dirtiest mind ever!!! He’s like Aeon and Quagmire times 1,000,000. Then add skill set of a the worst hacker in recent history and a criminal record that makes Al Capone’s handy work look like child’s play and you have someone you don’t want to mess with.
I wouldn't say this episode was one of my favorites. But it definitely had its good points. The humor, the lesson, and definitely the sorcerer's apprentice motif. I definitely think you two did a pretty interesting job reviewing this episode as well, what with all the jokes and references. I do have a few things I would like to say to Aeon though. I've never played a Persona game, I've only researched and read about them off the Internet. But personally, I'm of the opinion that while each of us does have our "sinful side" as I like to call them, which of course means we all have our flaws, I believe that we can choose the kind of people we want to be. Sure, we all have our flaws and were all going to have to struggle with them our entire lives. We can still overcome them to a degree. We can grow as individuals. We can change old habits. And we can definitely decide whether we want to be good or bad. Our past doesn't decide the kind of person we are. Our personality traits still decide the kind of people we are. It's all a matter of choice. Hack, I've known quite a few people, real and fictitious, who have gone through similar experiences and yet have come out as totally different people as a result. And I am also of the firm belief that the things people say do not influence your decision. It's how you choose to react to what people say that affects your decision. And trust me, I speak from experience. And if you want to challenge me on that, I dare you to come and say that to my face, in person. I must warn you though, you're not the only expert on the occult.
I view manipulation as the use of personally gained means to change a person's view. Whether it's malicious or benevolent depends on the intent and outcome. Basically, manipulation is no different from a gun or magic. It's a tool, not instantly evil.
Three overlooked elements in the episode/the review itself. 1) the episode title refers to to the song "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by The Police. 2) If you listen carefully as Starlight's horn "lights up", the first chord from Five Nights At Freddy's 2 can be heard. 3) The sound of Josh's brain is the acceleration sound from the NES title "Excite Bike".
Oh dear, oh my, oh goodness gracious alive, this was hilarious and gives some food for thought. Though I do wonder if these two will collab again, it'd be one hell of a good time. ^^
I find starlight to be a good character cause she has a reason to be scared and a way to fail. she truly believed her ripping cutie marks off was a good idea and was true friendship. Now she doesn't know how to go about it and is scared to fail. so she does what she knows best and used magic to fix it but do to the vagueness of magic it backfires. Just wish there were more recusations from her action. like the next few episodes, the girls are hesitant to be alone with her or that town didn't all just forgive her. as for Aeon I feel manipulation line is drawn in how you go about and how much choice the person is given. Like two people trying to sell you something. one guy believes in his products and uses facts to sell it to you while answering questions. the other is a scammer and uses buzz words and cold reading to manipulate you into buying something you don't want, trying to push you button so you dont think and react instead of choosing. but the line does gett more blury as thing ascilate. from add trying t meotional minuplate you for good couses to other used it with vauge speaching about doing the the right thing. but how much choice determens it all. and starlight made it so the girls couldnt do anything with out her saying so. makes me wish she ask them how they really feel abiut being control and see the reactuion.
I LOVED the argument about manipulation near the end. It's a very interesting subject to philosophy about. Everything is manipulating you to at least a small amount. So manipulating itself can't be bad. But where do you draw the line? Here you cross over to moral philosophy, and there is SOOOOO much to discuss HERE. What is morally good and what is morally evil? Which moral philosophy do you follow? Utilitarism? Short, it means that you should always act so that your actions further the sum of happiness in the world the most, no matter whose happiness, as long as it generates the most happiness. Kant would ask you if you can will the maxim you act under to be a general law. So, would it be OK if everypony would manipulate everypony all the time with the same intentions you have? And are your intentions untainted? Because if you don't act only dutiful because of duty (duty in the Kantian sense: laws you enforce upon yourself that are based solely on reason), your intentions are tainted and therefore you are morally evil because you aren't morally good (Kant is very harsh about this, but it makes some sense to say "There is no Grey zone in morality. Either you are good, or you are evil.") This subject could be discussed for a million years, and there still wouldn't be a good, Real answer to it. Morality is a very personal thing, even if most moral philosophies have some things in common. Let's take the example of a beggar: no matter which moral philosophy you follow, the chances are high that helping him would be morally good. Exceptions (looking at you, Ayn Rand) confirm the rule.
I thought I was terrified of Aeon before, now I'm gonna be having nightmares of him eating popcorn and watching me scream. XD Blucifer, I will have a cross with me for the rest of eternity.

...... owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww_w wwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.
Dude, you just admitted to being a sociopath; get help.
Rarely are humans ever actually born good
I think my shadow is a cruel, hateful killer, I have dreams of that life sometimes, and even though I'm asleep, that life feels so real I remember the whole dream
i like this Aeon guy, i like the way he thinks.
He chill!
Aeon's gig on his channel goes into Philosophy and other in depth subjects. He hasn't been able to create new content, but plans on it. His vice is procrastination, which he does mention (or was it laziness?).
Oh good, glad to hear he's going to become active again. Love his thought discussions. Going to go sub right now.
Not to mention that he’s practically the devil incarnate
Technically he's an Incubus, I think. I need to check with him.
Zodia Wasn't he originally a dream witch or something like that?
He didn't even get shot out of the party howitzer o.o That is the most surprising part.
Otherwise, great review! Aeon brought some interesting ideas and thoughts to the table, and I am sure that this is intentional, but he can be so....creepy for the lack of better words. Made my spine tingle at one point.
Firebrand: someones about to get the broom
*image of a broom*
Firebrand: I WAS FREAKING KIDDING!!!
ME: XD
Two things:
1) I like how after this episode, Starlight never purposefully resorts to mind-magic again; any time it's occurred since is purely on accident.
Wow.... I never saw that..... thanks
Hey, nobody finished with a variation of the phrase "Taking Too Seriously".🤨
The reason for it: There is a contractual obligation of sending away the colaborator using the cannon [or some other equivalent force delivery method], after its said.
-> Firebrand does not want any kind of "retribution" from Aeon later for doing that to him [regardless if he thinks it is a "favor for a favor" or an actual revenge].
Aeon would enjoy the Party Howitzer, and there wasn't a good opportunity for a Too Seriously joke.
I am also an advocate for not always including a running gag, or varying it from time to time, just to keep the audience guessing.
nopony
When Aeon is in a vid prepare to laugh at stuff you know you shouldn’t be laughing at with around others around.
Airborne_Productions Aeon is best pony ( though I'm bias ).
VictoryFire88 lol
Airborne_Productions Well is he a good friend. Also I love his dirty mind in videos. lol
@@VictoryFire88 I enjoy him for his dark and slightly off ness. His ability of manipulation intrige me because I've never seen anyone even close before
I am honestly surprised.
Never thought Josh would ever work with Aeon.

I thought he was just annoyed by CaH
Hey Aeon, nice Hellsing abridged reference!
Kamen pony Gaim Hellsing as in Van Hellsing?
PoolStroke, Hellsing ultimate, the anime.
Ikr?! I literally said to myself "Oh my God aeon pulled an alucard"
In my opinion, the line of manipulation morality is crossed when you have to force the other to do what you want, like blackmail or threat
7:26
*"For a tree's branches to reach Heaven, your roots must first touch Hell"*
When I first heard this when I watched this video in middle school, I didn't think much of it.
I love watching glim glams issues . . . it makes me feal better about my own problems connecting with people . . . because i can laugh at her . . . and then realize i'm laughting at myself . . . please someone love me
MountainLion99 thank you *hugs back . . . but not in a wierd way, just like a normal hug between strangers who share mutual interests . . . sorry *backs away shyly

I'm gonna go get fin. He is the best cheer up pony in history
Alucard: You dirty little blue thief! You totally stole that line from me!
Look at the monster closer,
- it has mandibles
- it was hunting Mac
- Mac was hiding using mud!!
It was the Damn Predator!!!!!!
about the manipulation discussion, there is a clear difference between manipulating with words and magic.
From one Hasbro property to another: "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings"- Optimus Prime.
Maybe the reason why the guards never listen to Firebrand is because he insults them and is never nice to them.
I really like how Aeon and Firebrand work off of each other in humor and how Aeon acts in this situation. I’d love to see this more often!
This is a great video and I’m so happy to see that Aeon is collaborating with you!!
11:47.... best face with those words. Ever... I'm laughing so hard right now also.... um... firebrand you don't have any either. Just your blazer. .. ahh man WORD CHOICE!!!!!
I still need a full blown series with an overarching plot about Aeon’s shenanigans with the other analysts
Also, no, I do not think The Emoji Movie was amazing. Final Cut was compensated BIG TIME to say those horrible words
TheDCmatrix I lost respect for Sony after they made the movie.
Despite this movie stained Sony, one Sony movie that I actually want to watch is Alpha.
Tim Petersen It looks promising, but it’s not enough for me.
They canceled Genendy Tarosky's Popeye movie something that he was really passionate and was in the middle of finishing it
A collab with Blucifer, hope you boys had fun.
This is one of my favorite episodes of the entire series.
I was expecting a full Persona 4 joke. Instead, I got a passing reference. And now I want to know what Josh’s Persona is!
Damien Kalish probably some fire Deity
Prometheus?
I agree.
Agni or Indra
Hephestus
Aeon is alive
The best way i find to deal with people like Eon is to swallow you discomfort and steel yourself to the cringe. Be as perverse as well, play allow with them. Its either you collapse or they do.
It took me a while to warm up to Starlight because of how sloppy her reformation was but she’s now a pony I like I especially like the moment she had where she actually delighted and something that was devious that a student did but had to reel back because no we can’t encourage that
The Hellsing Abridged reference in the opening was awesome, and I applaud your tastes in culture.
Yes, Twi and Starlight did do transfiguration, it's one of the foundational classes of magic. Turn one thing into another, as you said, that's what they did.
Oh god that moral discussion at the end
_my head_
EDIT:
Now that I have Persona 4 and 5 under my belt I’m morbidly curious as to what Brand’s palace would be
14:20
Actually, funny thing about that.
13:13 is the best part of the whole episode.
I will ship it if Aeon doesn't stop man flirting with firebrand. I WILL DO IT!!!
1 min. In and he already made a abridged Alucard reference well damn he is worse then quagmire if he’s like Alucard that is if so gods help the worlds

Happy early Birthday Aeon😜
Aeon is best colab partner. we need more of him
Agreed
Awe. I was waiting for Ari to make Aeon eat a crucifix. She was giving him the "Oh no you did not" look. But to keep it family friendly, they faded to black while she ripped out and beat him with his own spine. Great editing.
I do the Cha Cha like a sissy girl! I like-a... do... da Cha Cha...
[insert Captain America "I Understood That Reference" clip here] xD
My tiny nipples went to France lol
the hard part about the pinkie pie cake baking scene is that you can barely tell if pinkie pie is doing the things she's doing because she's under mind control, or if its pinkie pie just being pinkie pie. Then again...it's pinkie pie....don't question it
firebrand mentions greek god for persona 4, but persona 4's gods were japanese. if we were going with greek based gods, it would be persona 3
I half expected Aramau to buck Blucifer in the face at the end. She was in a perfect spot to do so, too.
Also, is it bad that I'm currently working on a FireMau Next Gen? Y'know, just in case.
I like Aeons quote, "For a trees branches to touch heaven its roots must first touch hell."
Aww, I was expecting you and Ari to do som banishment spell at the end or something
Against Aeon? Yeah, good luck.
Yeah...If Ari and Firebrand Try To Do a Banishment spell On Good Ol' Blucifer….
IT. AIN'T. GONNA. WORK.
Trust Me And Eli.
Right?
if anything it'll probably tickle aeon let alone make him sneeze abit
Great episode review ☺ I was both entertained and educated. The interactions between Firebrand and AeonOfDreams were quite amusing and I would want to see them do more reviews or of the sort together or with more people.
Starlight is my best pony honestly
Hi, fellow Hogwarts student
The Power of Aeon Finding the flaws in a person and helps them cope with it while adding creepy dialogue.
Army pony and scary pony in one pic. ( firebrand and aeon)
And this is why I love Aeon! He's going deep into a subject in way others rarely goes.
"Oh kinky." Yep yep I know that sound. That is the sound of Samantha's brain shattering. As for me never in my life have I heard someone respond that way to getting stabbed in neck with a crucifix. I like him. I don't know if it is the voice or what he was eluding to but I like him.
This has so much more depth now that Cozy Glow is a thing.
Well I was going to type something but Lucifer made me loose my train of thought
This episode was Lesson Zero 2.0, with Starlight in Twilight’s role and Twilight in Princess Celestia’s role.
Dude... first SAO abridged now we're going as far as Hellsing Ultimate Abridged? That's on another level xD
And DBZ Abridged. And I'm pretty sure Linkara and a few others have gotten shout outs/references too.
"I'm not a fan of puns"
Oh, buck you!
Run, run from him
I wouldn't say this episode was one of my favorites.
Ending comments reminded me of a scene from a movie.... "This won't work, he likes it! Let's torture the rat."
That was from Muppets Treasure Island.
@@AzureMoebius22 Yep!
I was under the impression that hair is the only thing that you can't create with magic.
0:58 Was that a reference to Hellsing abridged
I view manipulation as the use of personally gained means to change a person's view. Whether it's malicious or benevolent depends on the intent and outcome.
Basically, manipulation is no different from a gun or magic. It's a tool, not instantly evil.
9:07 THE NUMBERS MASON, WHAT DO THEY MEAN!!!
Wrong thing good joke
Three overlooked elements in the episode/the review itself. 1) the episode title refers to to the song "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by The Police. 2) If you listen carefully as Starlight's horn "lights up", the first chord from Five Nights At Freddy's 2 can be heard. 3) The sound of Josh's brain is the acceleration sound from the NES title "Excite Bike".
3:17
THE SPEEDFORCE: Ho for the love of god
Oh dear, oh my, oh goodness gracious alive, this was hilarious and gives some food for thought. Though I do wonder if these two will collab again, it'd be one hell of a good time. ^^
2:30 Ratchet and Clank reference...
That alone made this video awesome
14:35 Oh, you say that too.
That talk of how whether manipulation is bad or good in someones eye is pretty deep and informative tbh.
Would you kindly, click the thumbs up button?
I see what you did there. :D *offers a high-five* I highly enjoy that game.

13:33 isn't that how Hitler became chancellor of Germany? Through body language and word choice?
I love that they brought up the duplication spell as a red herring and that it was actually the combining spells part that was important to the plot
It’s not your fault, but thanks to DWK, I cannot watch the scene about Applejack’s family history without both cringing and laughing at the same time!
Either you are good, or you are evil.")
This subject could be discussed for a million years, and there still wouldn't be a good, Real answer to it. Morality is a very personal thing, even if most moral philosophies have some things in common. Let's take the example of a beggar: no matter which moral philosophy you follow, the chances are high that helping him would be morally good. Exceptions (looking at you, Ayn Rand) confirm the rule.
11:49 ...keep it in your hammerspace?
The episode that proved why we will never have viable off the shelf A.I.
Looking forward to seeing you picked to review, "A Royal Problem" with you.
